I mean I am definitely disappointed, but at the same time what do you expect. You gotta dig a little deeper. I've listened to 100s of his podcasts and most if not all of his televised stand-ups. He's a hardcore product of his old school father, and yes he married a fairly basic bitch, but he's more self-aware thanks to late stage therapy and self-reflection.

He and his wife have a decent back and forth. As loud as he shouts, part of him is a shy guy who sits back and observes. His wife takes the driver's seat figuratively at times, and I believe it's preferred by him in those moments. He was mid 40s before getting married. So cut him some slack. He's not your typical starry eyed 24 year old.

I find his podcasts more entertaining when Nia is on to be honest. She's not a complete loon, I've heard a few podcasts where O'l Billary Swank talks Nia into seeing his point of view when he argues a "Men getting screwed" example, and she comes around when it makes sense. She intially see's things from a woman's perspective as is naturally but if it's a fucked up situation and pointed out to her, Nia comes around.

Unless I was jockeying for the title of Mrs. Bill Burr, I don't care in the least that he's married. The man's never been secretive about his rather confusing feelings for his LTR or their relationship. This also gives him the opportunity to really beat the message home in his routines with more detailed reasons why men need to know what they've gotten themselves into. Truth be told, the men I respected most where the ones who weren't ashamed to admit their faults when offering useful advice.

As for his wife, she doesn't look bad and I know there are guys out here who know of guys who married utter cows. I don't know OP. She obviously has some very polar opinions compared to Bill, but they seem to enjoy their mutual bickering. I don't think it was that bad. Sounds like any relationship. They are able to call each other out on their shit and still love each other afterwards. Who knows how long they been together but of course she is not going to take his shit and Bill probably respects her for that.
