"Plate spinning" makes it seem like the plates are going to fall off the stick unless I'm putting more effort into (i.e., spinning the stick of) the plate closest to falling. If they want to fall I let them fall. There are always more/newer plates to be had.

In that series, Rollo is always walking the fine line between defining a plate as "a girl you're having sex with on a regular basis" or "a girl who you pursuing and may act as a fall-back plan"

It's pretty obvious Rollo's concept of "plate spinning" comes from Roissy's 7th commandment of poon:

This begs the question as to what makes an "option", but I doubt he meant "a current sexual partner" or else he would have made it more clear. Later posts in Rollo's series appear to shift the definition from a simple "option" to an current sexual partner, and it seems to be the definition adopted in TRP. I'd love to have the man itself showing up on this thread and clarifying his thoughts in the topic.

The only issue I have with this view is that in most cases, particularly involving a LTR, you cannot get away with actually being polygamous. Then aspiring redpillers drop the idea of "spinning plates" because according to this definition, it simply isn't feasible. And doing so, they make a huge mistake: they should be building fall-back options, getting women interested in them, without necessarily having sex with them. For "a man without options is a man without power", and "women want men that other women want to fuck" and THAT is the whole point of spinning plates, not the sexual validation of having multiple partners.

Spinning Plates is an abstraction. It's an abstraction about the confidence that is engendered from knowing you have options and/or knowing you have the proven capacity to generate new ones should one prospect not develop.

A Scarcity Mentality is tragically the default mentality for most (Beta) men because they are unused to success with women. This is primarily the result of having been conditioned for a lifetime to expect their love lives to be a proposition of being thankful for taking whatever fate gives them.

This is the foundation of serial monogamy and allowing the Feminine Imperative to decide for them whatever it deems his usefulness to it is by rewarding him with less than ideal women who do the choosing for him.

Real options are the cornerstone of confidence, so try not to think of it in terms of risk – as in you’re risking the loss of “a great girl”. This means not shacking up with a woman, not slipping into any routine with her, not calling her more than necessary to set up another sporadic date, saving your weekends for women who’ve had a proven IL in you (i.e. sex or intimacy) and relegating those who haven’t to Tuesdays & Wednesdays, etc. This may seem like a lot of micromanagement, but once you put it into practice in as pragmatic a way possible to accommodate your life you’ll find that the decisions you make regarding the plates you are choosing to spin will become automatic.

3 step process to determine if a woman is a plate:

1. Is your penis going inside her?

2. Is your penis going inside other women?

3. If both of those are "yes", then she's a plate.

How are people screwing this up....seriously

• No sex = just a girl you know
• Sex with one girl = girlfriend/LTR/Fuck buddy/whatever
• Sex with more than one girl = plates
• Sex with more than one girl over a significant duration = harem

I realize the last point could be argued, but I do think spinning a few plates over a month or two is a different beast to that of managing multiple sexual relationships over 6 months

This has been driving me crazy. Here's another point I'd like made. Your girlfriend is not a plate. She's not your main plate. If theres only one, and theres only gonna be one in the foreseeable future, it doesn't matter how strict you are with her, it doesn't matter how obedient she is. she's your girlfriend. Start talking plates when you start spinning them.

Maybe splitting hairs here but what is the proper terminology for a girl who was once 1 of 3 plates, who is now my only plate due to me nexting one and then dropping the other?

I mean just because I haven't acquired another plate since my last one bounced, I still don't consider her my girlfriend.
