I myself found the first post (WSP guide to choosing a career) to be a huge kick to the nuts. I disagreed with at first but came back to it about 20 times. Eventually I agreed with 99% of it. It was emotional (huge sense of betrayal and loss from my own misguided decisions) and I went through anger and denial until acceptance. It was just like swallowing the red pill.
