I never thought I would see this.

But there it is.

After months of hard work by some of our new mods (and to a lesser extent myself), followed by a glorious 4 day final sprint by /u/theredpike, the FUCKING MODQUEUE IS CLEAN.

That means we are out of the hole, and every single press of that report button will now get the attention it deserves. Which means, in turn, that we can focus our full attention on filtering for quality, and giving trolls and white knights a richly deserved helicopter ride.

Praise be unto /u/theredpike!

And keep hitting that report button!

I think it's better to ban preemptively than give braincels and holier-than-thou male feminists the benefit of doubt, specially considering the recent influx of "black pill" idiots sperging out in the comments. If they care about RP discussion, and if they have a valid point and have given it careful thought, they'll take the time to send a modmail asking with they were banned and if possible to lift their ban. If they can't be arsed, then they just want to shit up the sub with low-effort inflammatory comments, and I say good riddance.

What makes you think he meant that? The parent poster explicitly argued in favor of the "honour of free speech and unrestricted flow of ideas in the ideological marketplace." That's just another way to say that no opinion should be forbidden here, on the basis of some higher ideal.

This is an attractive idea at first glance, but when you read through recent thread's comments and see the amount of "black pill" ideas and similar shit being pushed around by dumbfucks who think they can just skip the sidebar and preach their miserable views here, one would think that some quality control is in order. I admit I would often ignore such comments, but after reading this announcement, I will start hitting that report button on the incel fucks who are trying to bring the quality of this sub down.

Fair enough. I didn't know what he meant by it either, but apparently we're all on the same side here. It's just that I've seen people complaining that the mods are "censoring" certain views, and I thought the parent poster was talking about that; that's why I chimed in, because I don't think it is censoring, but rather quality control against terrible posts with no RP knowledge.

TRP is rather unique in that it advises persons that study it to actually go out in the real world to see for themselves. We don’t just advise it, we encourage it. We demand it. A lot of other theories would go to dust if they sent their users to the front lines to test theories. We, on the other hand, have countless men come back and scream the words “Holy shit, you’re right, it works.”

This is a pretty big notch against being an echo chamber.
