Well color me surprised.
Caught my eye this morning and thought I'd share for you guys who give RP a quick glance more often than you do the news.
These are the same faggots who had done a video in the past photoshopping their soyboy physiques alongside a celebrity's for the intent of passing another feelgood message of men shouldn't be forced to be fit , feelz before realz BS.
Aside from the asian dude who looks kinda ok for how skinny he is(and ironically is the only one within the lower-normal T- range), the remaining guys most likely can't even do 1 single pullup and bet my left nut never cared of structuring their diet properly, let alone do the other small things to optimize their health.
This should remind you that your testosterone is a paramount catalyst in your life, which is why everyone in here repeats the same old advice of "hit the gym". One of the biggest maladies of our age, depression along with every other symptom it entails, is 9/10 times accentuated if not caused by low testosterone.
If your health doesn't allow you to lift, it's up to you to figure something out & make up what you're missing , just make sure you are not making excuses and remember there's this guy out there:
Never a bad idea to have a blood test.Quick search on google or sidebar will get you going on how to get your T- to healthy levels.
Lift, diet, sleep, reduce stress(meditate), zinc, sunlight(vit D), posture, Ω3, winner effect, etc.
Stay healthy bros

Uh this information is great information and written wth good intentions, but dude. Please stop using the word 'fag' it's incredibly offensive to some people, not everyone on this sub is a straight male. There are LOADS of words in the English language you can use instead of fag or faggot. Have a little empathy and choose wisely
RedPilledRoaster 6y ago
In other words, water is wet.

I'm 45 and had my testosterone checked recently. It's at 308! Per Quest Diagnostics that is in their normal range (250-827 ng/dL). That would be normal range for an 80 year old man. Art of Manliness did an article years ago on a few studies showing what testosterone levels should be: http://www.artofmanliness.com/2013/01/16/normal-testosterone-levels/
The article references:

To the faggot who reported this for using the word faggot: you, sir, are a huge faggot.
Men who smoke a pack of dicks a day would disapprove of how much of a faggot you are.
There are drag queens in the Tenderloin who took a break from belting out showtunes to phone me up and ask me "Who the hell is this massive faggot?".
And I had to answer...
"I do not know, but he has reached levels of faggotry which are not even theoretically possible, requiring us to form a whole new theory of Grand Unification Homosexuality. We are going to have to construct a bigger supercollider and throw bears, twinks, and female impersonators at each other at previously untested velocities to understand this level of faggotry. We will have to lock Milo Yiannopoulos in a room-sized steel cage with six steamer trunks full of BDSM gear and the entire defensive line of the San Francisco 49ers to even replicate this level of faggotry for testing purposes."
Also, you are gay.

This is one of the main reasons I go to 4chan fit... people say the most offensive things to each other but they are all cool as fuck. Im 35 and remember the days when "faggot" was used throughout elementary school, middle and some of my high school years. People on 4/fit call each other racist asian slurs, black slurs, mexican slurs, but its like nothing. Its so prevalent that the impact it has is virtually nothing. Nobody gives a flying fuck In contrast most of reddit has this culture so controlled that calling somebody an idiot, loser, homo etc. can get you banned. By trying to conform all people by being the feeling police; you create a divisiveness that can really hurt our society long term. Certain groups of people like you and me, can now feel empowered over most by use of a simple word. I think most people can get along but once they are behind a keyboard; it is so easy to fall into a faux-righteousness power trip.
Edit: your article has been meme'ing on 4chan fit for a while also. Just meme's though, so its cool to see the actual study as per your post.

Ps: i can use the term lardarse cause i am one.

This can simply be avoided by getting enough sun, eating enough red meat and eggs, and lifting
funny_lyfe 6y ago
Make sure you get enough fat. It's easy to have low t when your body doesn't have the building blocks. Keto gave me mid day bonors that I had as a teenager. Always eat full fat meat, eat a couple of guacamoles to go packages everyday, and make some bullet proof coffee with coconut oil or butter in the morning.
Edit: Since this post got since traction. Might be worth checking out some articles.

How about just eat peanut butter mixed with coconut oil before downing some delicious coffee? I don't like my coffee tampered with. Its a serious condition I have. LOL
LordThunderbolt 6y ago
That coffee and butter shit is legit? I've seen it posted here before. I'll do some research.
boboliboliobli 6y ago
Oh yeah bulletproof coffee. You use kerrygold butter and coconut oil and then blend it with coffee. Bunch of ppl talk shit on BP coffee but I know it’s popular among those doing Keto.
Also it’s frothy and delicious.
funny_lyfe 6y ago
I used to do kerrigold butter and full fat cream. But other option is to do MCT oil, or the cheapest option is to do coconut oil.
Glitsh 6y ago
Yea. I did keto for a while and am about to get back into it. (excuses being money, but thats just excuses). Holy FUCK did the coffee hold me over. Went from a constant nagging of hunger to having to remind myself that it was lunch time and I needed my macros. Satiety was a huge game changer for me. A boost of confidence in how good you feel.
5t3fan0 6y ago
at first is weird, but after you learn the taste is very delicious... no need for sugars or milk... just get real butter from an actual cow tits (or coconut oil if you enjoy that, which i dont), no other weird-plant fats
roco-j 6y ago
What about olive oil? We always have plenty of it here, and it can be put on almost everything (mostly vegetables)
ReddingtonsShitList 6y ago
Oils in general are good clean fats. Coconut is the best because it contains MCT but olive oil is just as good for clean fat calories
funny_lyfe 6y ago
I would go against the grain and say while olive oil is fine, you need to get some saturated fats. So make sure you are consuming some butter, or bacon fat, or heavy cream.
[deleted] 6y ago
Olive oil is like the healthiest thing you could have. It lowers inflammation and helps with autophagy. It therefore raises SHBG which in turn raises testosterone unless there is something wrong with your balls/HPTA.
arthurabyssal 6y ago
Very healthy, but don't heat olive oil and cook with it. Have cold pressed virgin olive oil.

I am in the same boat as you are. I got my T levels checked 3 weeks ago and came out at about 300... I am in my 20s, lift and eat and live quite healthy, so I don’t see, where this is coming from.
Right now my doc and I are trying to see, if higher doses of Vit D (20.000 IE/ week) are going to have a positive impact. I’m retesting my levels in 4 weeks as well. Good luck! Looking forward to your results.
Luckylancer96 6y ago
Do you have low T symtoms? I have no sexual sytoms but i m not sure if i have low T.
mortalcoil1 6y ago
I have heard so many conflicting issues with Vit D supplements. I would like to hear your results. Are you also getting your Vit D levels checked? I have heard of people actually losing Vit D levels in their blood from supplementation.
Let_me_at_them 6y ago
Yes, we are going to have a look at my Vit D levels as well. There are some studies indicating a connection between Vit D and the production of steroid hormones, so we are taking a shot, to see if this might be the issue.
I'll keep you in mind. When I get the results from my next test I can shoot you a message. You can also remind me in a month if you want to, in case I forget.
beginner_ 6y ago
They may loose Vit D because they test in summer and then winter.
Thing is it takes forever for the levels to rise. And there is a limit how much you can absorb so huge doses are pointless. All it needs is discipline and patience.
EDIT:
Some people have absorption issues and for those no level of supplementation will help.
beginner_ 6y ago
Vitamin D takes forever to increase. I was very low, taking 4000IU/day for 1 year now and it's ok according to "general medicine" but still too low according to society of endocrinology. So the threshold values aren't that clear cut either.
Anyway retesting in 3 weeks is pointless to check fro a vitamin D effect. 6 months would make more sense.
Let_me_at_them 6y ago
Interesting. It will have been 6 weeks of supplementation, when we recheck my levels, but I will keep your comment in mind.
Since I’m interested in this topic, do you mind me asking for your personal experience? By how much did your levels change? What effects did it have (perhaps on other hormones)? Do you feel any different now that you are in a “normal” range? Are you planning further steps?
beginner_ 6y ago
I like this page for info on vitamin D levels.
I was at 20 ng/ml 1 year ago and now at 31. No real differences. Did not test T levels.
I did test T levels even longer time ago and it was very low (350ng/dl). Should probably test again but it's not easy to get them tested if it actually was ok (according to the idiotic standards). You will basically have to lie you have ED because if you say you have no sexual issues then it's fine. (NOT US). Anyway, too many changes happened to simply link it to vitamin D anyway.
Luckylancer96 6y ago
Do you have low T syntoms? I dont have any sexual syntoms but i m sure about other ones. No beard and 20yo :/ i still have realy weak teenager type mustache.
Let_me_at_them 6y ago
You should not be worried, just because you don‘t have a beard. Depending on your ethnicity, many guys develop a beard well into their late twenties.
If you don‘t have any sexual symptoms, you should be fine. Which other symptoms do you experience?

Blood vessels are not blocked by cholesterol or OLD fats by themselves. They only block blood vessels if paired with carbs, which oxidize the fats causing them to react with the endothelium of the blood vessels forming fatty streaks and arthersclerotic plaque.
Moreover, mouse studies show that feeding mice that do not exercise, a good diet gives them more atherosclerotic buildup than feeding a 'bad diet- to mice with frequent, high intensity exercise.

But I also read an article on the art of manliness blog about how the guy raised his natural T levels by almost 300 from eating red meat and eggs daily.

That's a lot of fucking red meat and eggs. I thought I was sitting pretty at 10oz and 6 eggs daily.

Low cholestetol is not healthy. High cholesterol is healthy. A huge proportion of the brain is cholesterol. Cholesterol heals arteries, gets turned into vitamin D under the skin, is the precursor to every sex hormone (yes: Testosterone) and is the reason we can move unlike plants.
Luckylancer96 6y ago
NOPE! Vit D have its own pre form. And we can move without testosterone. Get your facts straight or get the fact out of here.

Most of the damage comes from the lining of your gut being used up by bacteria. Fermented foods and fiber can stop and reverse this.
KarmaEnthusiast 6y ago
Depends on what type of cholesterol. I remember a lecture I watched a few years back defining cholesterol in two categories: high density cholesterol (HDC) and low density cholesterol (LDC). Of these two you can have high levels or low levels.
I think saturated fats contribute to HDC and is "bad" cholesterol but don't quote me on the metabolic pathways. I also only say it's bad because people tend to have diets with too much saturated fat. There's nothing inherently wrong with HDC, it has bodily function much like LDC.
beginner_ 6y ago
It's LDL and HDL and high HDL levels are bad.
https://www.cdc.gov/cholesterol/ldl_hdl.htm
What matters is the combination between LDL, HDL and Triglycerides.

Interesting, thanks for the link it's been a while since I did lipoproteins. I think the first link said LDL was "bad" though since it ends up in arteries. HDL ends up in the liver where it's detoxified.

Add selenium and cold showers if you’re 30+.
RedditorFor1OYears 6y ago
What's the deal with selenium?
destraht 6y ago
I've read that North American soil is super low in selenium.
Hjalmbere 6y ago
Studies show selenium helps your body to produce testosterone if you’re 30+. And improves sperm count and prostate health.
Article: http://iast.net/testosterone-boosters/testosterone-booster-ingredients/selenium-benefits-and-side-effects/
Study: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/19091331/
I eat brazil nuts every morning and evening. Good for selenium. Apparently the only nuts that are good for increased testosterone are brazil nuts and macadamias. Other nuts should be avoided. I used to snack on walnuts. Bad. They contain SHBG which blocks free testosterone. Same with soy bean products.
RedditorFor1OYears 6y ago
Damn. I eat a lot of meal replacement type stuff that's soy based because it's quick and easy. Good to know.
[deleted] 6y ago
Walnuts contain sex hormone binding globulin? That is the most hilarious thing I've ever heard.
Although I wish it did. Having your SHBG at 11 nmol/l like me is no fun. In reality it makes no sense trying to lower your SHBG because total testosterone will also lower with it. (Body compensates and free testosterone portion stays the same). 35-45 nmol/l is the ideal range.
Hjalmbere 6y ago
Here’s a study linking increased SHBG to walnuts: http://www.nature.com/ejcn/journal/v65/n3/full/ejcn2010266a.html
*not sure if walnuts contain SHBG but there’s a link. as stated in the study. Eat at your own risk.
[deleted] 6y ago
Of course they don't contain it, but they might as well raise SHBG. I'll probably try them. Low SHBG is no fun.
Hjalmbere 6y ago
SHBG renders testosterone inactive, why would you want that?
[deleted] 6y ago
Let's just think about that for a minute. Isn't it quite childish to think that your body produces this protein that would actually be bad for you? Don't you think SHBG should have a role in your endocrine system?
This guy had (close to) zero SHBG due to a rare genetic mutation: https://academic.oup.com/jcem/article/99/9/E1798/2537696 So he should've been the most alpha male to ever roam this planet, right? Quite the opposite. Read it.
That whole free hormone hypothesis is outdated science nowadays. This is what we know now:
Healthy people have the same amount of free testosterone. If SHBG changes, total testosterone changes to compensate. So higher SHBG means higher total testosterone. My SHBG is 11 nmol/l and even though there's nothing wrong with my balls or pituitary I have the total testosterone levels of a 80-year-old. You'll never find a guy that has naturally high total testosterone and low SHBG.
The lower the SHBG, the faster you metabolize testosterone. What little T I have in the morning is mostly metabolized during the day. If you have higher SHBG, your testosterone levels don't fluctuate very much daily.
Summa summarum of your SHBG isn't over 50 (and your balls are working correctly) there's no need to lower your SHBG; you'll just end up having less testosterone and metabolize it faster. SHBG is foundation of a healthy sex hormonal system and it's actually your friend - not the enemy.
Hjalmbere 6y ago
Your reasoning regarding SHBG strikes me as somewhat flawed: E.g. your body also produces cortisol and high amounts of cortisol over prolonged periods are not good for you.
However I’m always open to changing my mind, but that guy you posted a link to is an outlier. Do you have any links to actual studies? Also, what would you say the normal SHBG level for a healthy 50 year old male would be?
[deleted] 6y ago
At school, I met a guy who had shitty parents which had raised him as a vegetarian (would drink actual milk but ate no fish or meat, only soy-based substitutes) and his body was seriously fucked; he looked like he was starving. Once he started eating red meat and working out ect., a total transformation took place- he gained muscle mass at a faster rate that I have seen anyone else do. The point is, is that you have parents which read bullshit 'studies' from glossy magazines in the late '90s and early 00's which advocated for veganism and vegetarianism, so there is now a generation of testosterone deficient soy-boys who just need someone to give them correct dietary advice and a kick up the arse. Raising a child as vegan/vegetarian is fucking child abuse.
hypebeasts101 6y ago

Jaxx_Teller 6y ago
Can you explain the significance of unbound T? Is it a better indicator of your testosterone than total T? I never quite understood. Last time I had my testosterone levels checked, I had very high free T but lower than normal total T. Never really understood that

Lol, our canine teeth are pathetic versions compared to real carnivorous animals. Fuck, check out these canines ohhh wait that's a gorilla and they're an herbivore.
I think every ape might have bigger canines than humans, and almost all are herbivore save some insect and the very occasional small bird.
In fact, as humans ate more meat and hunted more, our canines shrunk.
Evolution shows you don't need meat in your diet to be big and strong like a gorillas are, but it does make getting protein easier, which is why it's helpful, but not needed.

gorillas and other animals with large canines don't cook their food. there's evidence that shows our hominid ancestors were building fires and cooking meat approximately 1 million years ago, before they had even evolved into true homo sapiens. before that, maybe 2-4 million years ago, there is evidence suggesting Australopithecus used some tools to process and eat meat. they had larger teeth than modern humans, but their canines were proportionally similar to their incisors, like ours.
once we started using tools and fire we could easily consume fresh meat and didn't need large canines to tear apart raw meat anymore. the ability to consume large amounts of protein relatively easily is probably a major reason why humans became such chads compared to all the other animals on earth.
great ape canine teeth show sexual dimorphism (male canine teeth are significantly larger than females). this indicates that the reason why gorillas have such prominent canines is because they use them to fight other males.
Mattpilf 6y ago
Females are still much more prominent then humans Which yeah, as you mentioned still nothing to do with eating meat.
Well also we had hands to hold the meat and tools to cut it, which is another reason canines never needed to be big. Plus our hunting was never by biting, heck even chimps can hunt with sharpen sticks(though very rarely do they hunt).
But yeah, eat meat cause it taste good, eat meat cause it's an easy way to eat enough protein, just don't be like that other guy and come up with bullshit things like canine teeth mean you have to eat teeth.
I_Need_More_Space_ 6y ago
Yeah, and how big is a gorilla's intestinal tract compared to a humans? And how much time in the day do they spend eating plants compared to humans?
I'll take the meat route, Bro.
boboliboliobli 6y ago
I’ve got some meat for you to suck on bro, u down?
I_Need_More_Space_ 6y ago
Also, we stopped evolving since everyone gets to have a baby. That may explain the shrinking canines as the pool of genes is worse today than previous when only the strong survived. I have great canines for a human by the way.
I don't think one can rule out that Gorillas used to be meat eaters, but they adapted to plants for some reason. Their canines could be relics of the past. Do you not agree that this is plausible?
Mattpilf 6y ago
1000 years ago, not everyone had babies and canines were basically the same as now. In fact even Neanderthals didn't have prominent canines either, which were tens of thousands of years of heavy hunting and meat eating in our system. Canines have literally nothing to do with eating meat in humans or apes.
Also as I said, apes in general are almost exclusively herbivores. Chimps diets only have 2% meat their meat is pretty much only insects so it's not a relic of the past for eating and hunting meat. In fact the only carnivorous primates(so all monkey like things) is this guy, and even further down the chain, the closest relatives that will eat lots of meat are rats, and that's not most rodents anyways, rats will just eat anything and everything.
Also with your comment about gorilla digestive lengths, overall the volume is pretty much the same a significant difference in small intestine and large intestine though is related to the less fiberous items we normally eat, as supposed to gorilla who eat a lot of stems and leaves and stuff, but humans are still way way way long than dogs or true carnivores.
Nobody stopping you from eating meats. I eat meat basically every day. It's just it's not a necessity if you get your protein levels in, which honestly isn't that hard on planned vegetarian diet to get the .64-.82 g/lb of protein. Vegan diets are way more difficult for high protein diets though. In the end though, your original point about canines and needing to eat meat because of them was honestly one of the dumbest things I've read.
Buswankerrr 6y ago
Human canine teeth are nothing compared to carnivores as they're way smaller. Also some animals with the biggest canine teeth don't eat meat, for example gorillas.
I_Need_More_Space_ 6y ago
Yeah, because we are omnivores. We can and should be eating everything. Wolves don't eat spinach, hence their pronounced canines.
There are also published studies that the brains of vegetarians are smaller than those of meat eaters.
Increase in protein due to the domestication of animals led to our brains taking off like a rocket. Don't show gorillas how to eat meat as we might get a Planet of the Apes scenario. Hahaha!
Skayruss 6y ago
If you’re going to cite studies, link them. You have the burden of proof.
fruguy 6y ago
Actually there are studies showing vegetarians have higher IQs. And vegetarians who supplement creatine can even increase IQ.
I'm not vegetarian so I'm not biased.
They don't say if the diet increases IQ. More likely they were more inquisitive to begin with which lead them to adopt a more "ethical" diet.
185poundsofhatredWIP 6y ago
Lmao you eat meat and still would get dwarfed by a vegan gorilla female that don't even lift.
I_Need_More_Space_ 6y ago
Your point? Its a gorilla. My species is destroying the gorilla habitat. Size doesn't matter when you compare other animals to humans.

people_watcher 6y ago
A number of years ago I felt like shit. I did my research and settled on low T as the cause.
I visited my doctor for confirmation and he ran the blood tests. Came back low, but not out of range. He and I had a passionate discussion of why I should be on T therapy. He said that the level was normal... I said that he was right... if I was 70.
For a mid-20's guy, I should have been at the upper end of the range. Not barely hanging on to the bottom 5%.
I won. I was diagnosed as hypogonadism. I got on T therapy and my life fucking changed! Energy, libido, muscle.
Moral: If you feel off, lathargic, weak, depressed... get your T levels checked.
Whatisthisbug3333 6y ago
This is the story I hear with everyone who goes on T Therapy - life changing.. so many people are quick to dismiss it because they want to continue to pigeon hole men in this low testosterone state. Wake the fuck up people.
[deleted]
[deleted] 6y ago
I am in the same boat now, on the lower end of the normal range and on the fence about taking trt. Have you had any negatives to taking it? How long have you been?
people_watcher 6y ago
It's been about 4 years since I've been on it. I had to come off of it because I came down with an illness that I was taking a lot of medication for and didn't want to interfere with that. When I was on it, there were no ill effects... Other than a sore injection site for a day or two.
SquaatsForDays 6y ago
My T levels are also a joke at 393 at 23yrs old. However my doc wont prescribe me anything because he says my "body will grow into making more T rather than take drugs". Whatever...
I've also been looking into adding zinc into my daily regiment, as I already take Vitamin D, Omega3's, and Calcium. Would it be more beneficial to add regular zinc tablets of ZMA?
[deleted] 6y ago
Get blood work done again and if it's low again go to Defy, they do over the phone service and the blood work is done through a nationwide company
Edit: I had a doc tell me the same thing almost a year ago at 321ng/dl and nothing has fixed itself. 23 also.
[deleted] 6y ago
First get everything checked Total T, SHBG, LH and (sensitive) E2.
SquaatsForDays 6y ago
Well my problem is that I'm currently active duty army and our providers wont test for all of those. They told me when I first went in for this problem that it was due to work stress and therefore no doctor would sign off on those extra tests because it costs the army money.
[deleted] 6y ago
Understandable. Try zinc, D3 and especially magnesium. (Anything but magnesium oxide. Preferably 4x day).

Take ZMA (or at the very least, Zinc), make sure Vitamin D3 levels are good (sun exposure is best but supplements are cheap and work) and most importantly, eat a diet high in good fats and protein and low in carbs. I eat a ton of eggs and bacon and steak and chicken, lots of dark green veggies, and lots of nuts (Brazil nuts, almonds, walnuts). NO SOY, EVER. Cut back on dairy. Minimize processed foods as much as possible.
Lift weights (or at least do bodyweight exercises). Hit a heavy bag if you can get one. Sleep at least 6 hours per day.
Few months of this and you'll feel great.
BreakingRed_ 6y ago
Well fuck. My T was at the 315's. Do we have a guide on increasing that shit naturally?
cashmoney_x 6y ago

Whatisthisbug3333 6y ago
315 is low as shit assuming you are in your 40s and not your 70s... you will not be able to increase it natural ways to an acceptable level of 700 to 900 for a 40 year old. Go to an Endo and get checked out and get on TRT it should change your life, if that’s what he recommends.
[deleted] 6y ago
I had mine tested last December and was at 321. I recently have decided to look into it and was amazed my doctor told me I was FINE. It's fucking low dude. That female doctor had no idea what she was talking about. I literally just got blood work done again and am waiting to see what the results are. We're in the bottom 2.5-10th percentile of males depending on what study you look at. What's really interesting is that the average male's aged 20-30 (again depending on study) is in the 700's range.
So on average there are guys out there with twice as much testosterone as we have, and yet we're classified as being in a "normal healthy" range. If my tests come back low again I'm taking T back up to the 700's.
BreakingRed_ 6y ago
That's what my endo was. To hell with them.
EminemLovesGrapes 6y ago
What I read on illimitable men(I think) was that the "natural" accepted level of testosterone in your body kept getting set lower and lower.
This caused people who are around 300 these days to be said that they're normal but a few decades ago would've gotten put on therapy.
Article It has its biases but is pretty informative.
I'm in a bad spot myself but I'm attributing that to myself rather than low T.
[deleted] 6y ago
Yea, I have read that article before on illimitable men. It's what prompted me to get blood work again actually
BreakingRed_ 6y ago
Right on the money. It's like the dumbing down of universities. They just test the average populace and that's how they extract the "normal" instead of correlating it with behavioral patterns etc. Meaning that if feminized males become the norm it's normal to be like them.

Veegun 6y ago
It was probably a bit ignorant for me to say to not do cardio, just make sure you stretch to avoid injuries like shin splints, etc and don't skimp on calories.
WolfofAnarchy 6y ago
This is wrong. Running keeps you alive and can be an incredibly start of your day. Just do intervals or really, really run hard. Don't do endurance.
Veegun 6y ago
When I think of runners the first thing that comes to mind is long distance runners. So there was probably a bit of bias there. I do agree with you.
If you're just running a short dist like 5k and really pushing yourself like you said; as long as you aren't eating too little in a deficit; then I have no problem with it.
I think the line draws in my opinion when you aren't doing any resistance training or you like emaciated like this guy http://www.fitmole.org/wp-content/uploads/2014/04/marathon_sprinter1.jpg

I know a one case study isn't good for a general overview on whether an action(s) is good for changing a variable, but I think it's a better approach to getting interested in the subject and further research.
What were your test levels before and after implementing these changes? Of course maybe you're just listing all the possible ways of increasing T, so maybe you could say if you did most of these or even specify which ones you did.
Veegun 6y ago
A year and a half ago I first went to the doctors because of a shitty sense of wellbeing. It would take me 5 hours to get out of bed once I woke up, I would dread waking up to go to college. I masturbated every other day to cover feelings of depression and to get a dose of dopamine. I had zero energy. Basically I hit rock bottom. This is where I did some research with a lot of results showing test could be the case. Decided to get a blood test and the results came at about low 300's. EDIT: The funny thing is the doctor said my test was OK, just about in the safe range; conspiracy - the system doesn't want real men??
I wanted to fix this myself as I had an interest in naturopathic medicine. I did pretty much everything on my list other than the meditation (really struggled to get into it), herbs, grapes and mushrooms and went vegan hence my reddit name. I have since stopped being vegan as I feel it was worsening (for me specifically, it may be different for you)
Went back to the doctors in August this year and had blood drawn again and the results were up in mid 600's.
EDIT: That being said, these are just the main things that I found when researching in desperacy to fix my issue. Everyones case is different and none of these may even help you.
greatslyfer 6y ago
wow, 300 to 600, that's such a drastic change, nice.
Yeah I really have to start implementing these changes, hopefully my mood will alleviate to a better baseline because of it.
prodigy2throw 6y ago
Also worth noting if your test is below 300 you need TRT
LordThunderbolt 6y ago
Fuck you OP! I'm gonna raise my children to be gender neutral vegan Christians.
greatslyfer 6y ago
Btw does nofap/increase in testosterone be the reason as to why sometimes I feel like approaching a girl and sometimes I just don't feel in the mood to approach?
Don't say mental attitude is probably the reason please, that shit's pretty not true imo.
Whatisthisbug3333 6y ago
To add - all your suggestions on raising your T are good ones, but if you are really low, something is wrong with your signaling mechanism to your body to produce testosterone, so improving those would only have marginal benefit and that person should go on testosterone injections to get their levels normal. All those guys in that study should go to their doctors and will likely be put on testosterone replacement therapy. Their levels are so low they have hypogonadism and no amount of sleep, working out, etc will get them to normal levels. They need to triple their levels, not going to happen without external help based on their doctors advice.
purduered 6y ago
Yeah those T levels are shockingly low across the board
Marsupian 6y ago
When you are a male working at buzzfeed you need a whole lot more than normal T levels.
beginner_ 6y ago
I think you need low T levels to not go insane at such a place.
funny_lyfe 6y ago
Regular males wouldn't do half the gay acting shit they do. So because the job requires it they end up with SJW numales.
destraht 6y ago
I'm continually reminded of what my environment would be like if I lived in a liberal pit like Silicon Valley or San Francisco. Sure I'd be banging the nerd girls but there would be lots of these vagina men gunning for me behind the scenes and they would likely succeed at knocking me down a level. I would be brought in front of HR to hear shit like "your performance is good but....". Then the step up from this is betafied Indians and that isn't all that great either but at least their ideology isn't against my existence. Office workers can be such pussies and its something that I need to remain aware of for the remainder of my career. Furthermore other countries which are on the liberal track are simply lagging so many years behind and so if don't keep up with the trends then I could end up in some shit situation ten years from now on the other side of the planet.
[edit] Sweet. I must have been linked to from somewhere with a drive by downvote. HRCfanficwriter posts in subredditdrama and sanfrancisco channels and then within an hour it pops in. Of course low-testosterone SJW males and passive-aggressive shitty females act like this.
[deleted]
CoupDeGrace22 6y ago
Correct, but we don't know if they indeed are diagnosed with hypogonadism, for all we know the lab in question could be equally as stupid as buzzfeed and did the work on non-morning hours(peak testosterone).
Good pointing it out given the stance many doctors have towards testosterone therapy on young guys, if your levels are that low ask yourself to get further work done for hypogonadism if it's not recommended.
[deleted] 6y ago
At age 30 I decided to get a bunch of blood work and other tests done. My T was 163. It's a wonder I didn't sprout a vagina. At the time I was a giant socalist, low-energy sack of shit that just sat around and was worthless. I attempted a few natural options and nothing was working (as another poster said, focus on natural first) but then was put on TRT. My T is now around 500-600 (not even at the high level) and my life is literally completely different. No more low-energy bullshit, it's all focus on improvement in one way or another. Can confirm that I'm increasingly right-wing in my beliefs now, too. Hormones rule your world. Keep them in check.
whoismikejoneswho 6y ago
Are you seriously implying that one's politics are impacted by testosterone levels? I suppose men in Europe, Canada and Australia are simply low in "T, bro", hence they don't share most of the backwoods beliefs of the American right wing? Honestly if you didn't mention your age I would have just assumed you were 20 and not gone through the effort of writing this but if you're still contriving pseudo science gibberish at 30 something, testosterone deficiency may be the least of your worries
hypebeasts101 6y ago
His brain deficiency is probably a bigger issue.
[deleted] 6y ago
Note I did not imply anything. I can only speak to my own experience. When I had low T two years ago I was very liberal, to the left of Gandhi on those 4 square tests. Now I'm almost center, slightly skewed right. That could full well be entirely correlation zero causation, but my life is the only thing I can talk to, just providing data points here.
I_Need_More_Space_ 6y ago
Good for you for picking yourself up out of the victim mentality. Free will is a beautiful thing. Those that want to take the fruits of your free will to give to others and themselves just show their similarity with women. Women are takers, and when men become takers of FORCED charity, they may as well start shopping with a blonde wig, fake tits, and high heels.
I_Need_More_Space_ 6y ago
Socialist men in Europe, Canada, Australia, and the U.S. are all pussies. If you cannot take care of yourself and your family, what more can be said?
Additionally, not all men in Europe, Canada, Australia believe in socialist systems. I have a few friends (German, Lithuanian, Polish, Canadian) who don't believe in the system that rapes them with taxes for the simple fact that they are smarter and more hard working than their lazy countrymen. Don't paint whole countries with a single brush.
As far as the T factor, that is definitely a possible explanation. I can't imagine a man with high T being afraid to take on the world, and take what he wants from it. It would be an awesome study.
[deleted]
[deleted] 6y ago
Um, yes. I think it's pretty obvious that modern left-wing metrosexuals would have low testosterone. Less so for the Old Left who mostly came from a blue-collar background, but they mostly vote for Trump these days. For one thing, low testosterone means more anxiety, which means you're more likely to look to Big Nanny to protect you.
Certainly correlation has been shown between male upper-body strength and political beliefs (strong men tend to be right-wing: shock!), and that tends to correlate with testosterone levels.
There are plenty of men in Canada who 'share backwoods American beliefs'. But it's the low-T liberals like Trudeau who get the press.
whoismikejoneswho 6y ago
Well tell you what, I've never lived in Europe but I have lived in the other three and if anything, the hormonal balance is probably more "normal" outside of the US as 80% of our males are obese estrogen laden dorito beasts. Especially in the south, where said backwoods right wing politics fester. In Canada/Aus, the ultra manly gym bros and skinny tech nerd alike believe in basic humanistic things like climate change, universal healthcare, good public education and social support for the less fortunate. These things require a mix of reason and heart and are not affected by ones "T levels". So again, absolutely idiotoic moronic argument to make but guess what, your TRP bretheren are largely 18-25 year old American males without passports and envision things per foxnews and not anything they've ever personally experienced. And I get that. So downvote all you want and continue your sophmoric fantasy association of politics and testosterone
redvelvet_oreo 6y ago
Its needs to be known that TRT should not be taken unless everything else fails. TRT will fuck up your system for life. Once your on you are not suppose to come off of it. People need to stop recommending TRT as a first response.
To expand on your point about the bodies signaling system might be fucked up. That will show up in your blood work. If you get your LH and FSH measured you can tell if your testicles are not working right or your pituitary gland is not working right. In the event both seem normal it could be many other thing also.
Things to check (basically what OP mentioned)
Are you sleeping 8 hours
Zinc and Vitman D Levels
DIET - Make sure you are getting the correct amount of macro nutrients. Eating a calorie deficit diet to long can make your T go low.
Body Fat is it low or high both can effect T levels.
I am sure there are other things that need to be verified and checked also. It takes about 2 - 3 months to see your T levels go back to normal after doing all the right stuff.
Please do not recommend TRT to people. It should be a last resort. They can truly fuck up their system when alot of people can easily correct their problem.
EDIT: LIFT
[deleted]
[deleted] 6y ago
I don't understand why anyone would want to come off of TRT once they start it. If fertility is the concern, there's always HCG or even Clomid.
redvelvet_oreo 6y ago
It could be many reasons I suspect but I really think the reason for a persons low T needs to be understood before going on something like TRT. Alot of doctors will NOT help you identify the root cause. Its your body its really up to you to see what works and what dosent.
[deleted] 6y ago
This is unfortunately true.
Whatisthisbug3333 6y ago
If taken under a doctors supervision it’s incredibly safe. Thanks for your bro science though.
[deleted] 6y ago
TRT costs quite some money, and you will quickly become dependent on it. Think about who is selling you this shit.
redvelvet_oreo 6y ago
"Bro Science" Ok dude you go have fun and play around with TRT. You fuck up your ability to produce T naturally when you start it. Only a BRO would go on TRT as a first response to a low T diagnosis instead of trying to correct the problem normally. TRT should only be used if you can no longer produce T naturally. I think it makes sense to prove that to your self then to just jump on the TRT bandwagon. A doctor can monitor your levels but as with anything you should understand what you are getting into and understand all the risks involved. After all it is YOUR body that you only have ONE of. The doctor can give a fuck less if your body goes to shit.

What does zinc help with? Whats ohm3?
gypsytent 6y ago
Your question has been answered but I just want to add DO NOT TAKE ZINC ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.
xNightly 6y ago
Zinc levels are directly linked with testosterone levels. A zinc deficiency will definitely lower your testosterone potential and the same applies to Vitamin D. Ohm 3 is Omega 3 found in things such as Fish Oil and studies have shown that a sufficient intake of Omega 3 helps with things such as depression, lowers the risk of heart diseases and overall improves bodily functions.
LiveAFTSOV 6y ago
Omega 3 fatty acids - fish oils
SalemBeats 6y ago
It's not as though mega-dosing Zinc will grant you exponential (or even linear) increases in Testosterone.
Rather, Zinc deficiency is a very common deficiency that can impact Testosterone levels.
ZMA (essentially Zinc + Magnesium) is a very popular and common night-time supplement to remedy this if you're deficient. And if you live in the Western world and eat a common Western diet, you likely are.
CoupDeGrace22 6y ago
Effects of mega-dosing zinc for 4 weeks on wrestlers:
Not advisable as mentioned for the long term(long term here meaning even 2-4 weeks), take it for what you will.
Pill a day regardless keeps you on the green, whether ZMA or plain Zinc.
Omega-3 effects on muscle growth:(very outdated but good start, you can find tons more on your own).
Smilme 6y ago
The effects of mega dosing are BS. It's only going to raise your T levels of you are deficient.
Those wrestlers were doing so much weekly workload they were probably heavily zinc depleted, and that's why the zinc helped. After a certain points it's worse for you than better. It will hamper the absorption of other minerals and make you feel worse.
Aka. Too much of a good thing is a bad thing
Lefort3000 6y ago
Omega 3's don't help with testosterone bro. Thats broscience. Do your research, they're high in polyunsaturated fats which actually lower testosterone if taken in somewhat high amounts. A good non polyunsaturated fat to polyunsaturated fat ratio raises test, along with keeping the polyunsaturated fats at a low level. That's why olive oil and coconut oil are good for testosterone, but keeping down the polyunsaturated fats is what matters the most. Vitamin E seems to somewhat buffer the negative effect they have, however. Heres a link on this with actual studies: https://www.anabolicmen.com/fats-and-testosterone/
And just as a note, total testoeterone doesn't matter, it's free testosterone that matters. You can have someone with low total t but low shbg who has normal free t, and someone with high total t but high shgb who has the same free t levels. Androgen receptor sensitivity also matters, and that's what no fap helps with. Resistance training also raises androgen receptor sensitivity, just don't lift for too long as that spikes cortisol. Overtraining is also bad for test so make sure to avoid that. You're right about the vitamin d, it raises free test, just make sure to take it with a fat. Magnesium is another supplement that people are generally deficient in that will raise free test (if they're deficient in it). Restoring deficiency in zinc is good but it shouldn't be overdosed as iirc it ends up lowering dht when taken in excessive amounts.
Starfuckingman 6y ago
Do you advice to take omega-3 supplements? I've heard they increase that chances of getting prostate cancer by like 30% so I stopped them.

Can't say I am surprised. I haven't watched anything from that shitty place ever since their "Dear White Guys" abortion of a video. Just remembering how the 'men' in that video dressed does not surprise me that Buzzfeed males have low testosterone.
AllahHatesFags 6y ago
I'm no expert, but I'm pretty sure getting pounded in the ass lowers your testosterone.

You gotta confuse your prostate bro

Most of the bottoms I know have done a couple cycles so I think they’re good.

These buzzfeed faggots would need to start injecting tren into their eyeballs to get to normal.

Damn, props to you for looking into this. Could have used it a few years ago when I got in a fight with some dude about how a diet of literally only eggs would be awful for your cholesterol levels. He was the one who sourced health.gov
RedPilledGodEmperor 6y ago
Those guys look like a bunch of pussies. Their testosterone levels would probably be fine if they actually lifted weights. They don't look like they even go to the gym at all.
michael_wilkins 6y ago
Watched the whole 20 minute segment. God it was hard to watch. physically cringey, and all of them at various points referred to their wives/girlfriends.
They are basically chicks in male bodies, everything about them from their body language, to their speech patterns to their mannerisms, to their upspeak to the way they cross their legs makes me think they've copied girls on how to act.
sjn2203 6y ago
I stopped watching like 10 min in and thought they were all gay.
greatslyfer 6y ago
When I last checked my testosterone levels a few months ago, it came out around 300 or 400 ng/dL, I was kind of annoyed but hey at least I know that that might be a possible route to just why I've always feel like shit (it might be mental but honestly I just think it's physical at this point).
I do lift, I powerlift so I do squats and deadlifts which are big compound movements known for inducing an increase in testosterone levels so there's that.
My eating is kinda shit, I mean I eat meat in like every meal so protein and fats are being taken in. Maybe more vegetables? I only eat salad for now since my cooking skills are pretty much basic.
Gonna look up all those minerals like zinc and stuff that supposedly increase test. Hopefully my life changes goddammit.
walkingthelinux 6y ago
I am starting to believe that low T is the body's way of "de-tuning" things when there are genetic issues.
Using this logic, if your T is low it is because your body wants it that way.
I think this is a way of self-limiting reproduction by males with defective genes.
[deleted] 6y ago
That's utter bullshit, but +1 for Linux. ????????♂️

I'm very close to my cousin's family but they're extremely blue-pilled...they went fat-free vegan a couple years ago and my 15 yo homie is so skinny. At 15 you shouldn't be doing that to your body.
Veegun 6y ago
What the fuck is wrong with the fat free vegans. The fat you eat is NOT the fat you wear. CICO That's the road to direct hormone imbalance.

22_sophomore 6y ago
22 years old and felt like shit for years. Non-stop anxiety, fatigue, apathy, low libido, etc... Made no sense considering I’m known among friends and family as a health nut.
Got my hormones checked, and my thyroid and testosterone were both rock bottom. Started thyroid and testosterone therapy and it’s slowly changing my life.
Get your shit checked boys.
Important bloodwork:
TSH FT3 RT3 Total Testosterone Free Testosterone LH/FSH SHBG Estradiol
If your doctor won’t test for the above, go through an online bloodwork lab. It’s fairly cheap and totally worth it. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I’m a med student working towards becoming and endocrinologist. This shit fascinates me and I’ve got a good grasp on hormonal health through 2 years of trial and error and countless blood tests.
Whatisthisbug3333 6y ago
Seriously - it’s important to do blood work up at least once a year to check your hormones, insulin, cholesterol, blood counts, etc. Keep your records so you know how you are trending. The data gained from a 20 minute blood draw allows you to basically hack your body, know how it works and optimize it. You may have an underlying issue that you never knew about and is easily remedied.
Here’s a site where you can sign up and order a blood test and just go to a quest diagnostics get it drawn and then results show up on the website in a week. WellnessFX.com It’s a bit expensive but worth it. Not available in all states. There are other companies like this too.

I get mine done at the VA, doc never says shit aside from I should drink less. I told her it keeps me from propping my head up with a shotgun.
lord_fawkward 6y ago
You can also do it through this site and this test. I have used their service before and it works well with the local lab. The cost of this panel is $219.00 http://requestatest.com/mens-health-panel-testing
b7f4c53d00e8 6y ago
That looks like a really good panel - I like that it has CRP and Vitamin D-25. Their thyroid panels aren't as comprehensive as privatemdlabs, but I like the men's health panel better.
b7f4c53d00e8 6y ago
Wow. Those guys are expensive. I have been using privatemdlabs.com for several years now. I've been getting the "Male Anti-Aging Deluxe w/Free (Direct) Testosterone" panel which is around $200 USD; if you sign up for their mailing list, they'll send you coupons weekly for 15% off. They use LabCorp, which is pretty much a clone of Quest Diagnostics.
INTJokes 6y ago
I can't tell if this is a legitimate recommendation or a shill or an ironic shill.
Whatisthisbug3333 6y ago
Is it just the one test? Wellness package tests like 72 different markers for 1k, there’s a cheaper package for a few hundred that tests a lower number than that. Wellness is just prints you a ticket to take to quest and then they upload the results in a readable format.
b7f4c53d00e8 6y ago
No, that's a relatively comprehensive panel. They give you a test requisition to take to a LabCorp location; results usually come back in 3-4 days as a PDF.
Ordinarily I'm in the "you get what you pay for" camp, but I'm not sure the more expensive service is really better, if it's all being processed by 3rd party labs.
WolfofAnarchy 6y ago
What the hell are you doing America. I'm going to the doc for free, get my blood checked, and go on with my life
b7f4c53d00e8 6y ago
If your doctor will run whatever tests you want, whenever you want, that's awesome. I don't mind paying a reasonable amount for testing that's useful but not necessary; and I'd rather be able to order my own tests, versus talking someone into thinking I need them.

says_harsh_things 6y ago
Im actually headed to the doctor tomorrow and am due for blood work, but not sure what I should say to encourage them to test for this.
I once went in to the doctor with a severe case of strep throat. When I mentioned that tylenol and advil weren't cutting it for the pain and I couldn't sleep, the doctor accused me of being a junky looking for oxys. Yeah, I got strep throat just to get oxys.....right.
kieran9323 6y ago
In the UK the NHS is useless, no option they gonna check your blood if you look "healthy"
Whatisthisbug3333 6y ago
Unbelievably it’s hard to sometimes get your doctor to run such a through panel. Like for a physical they might rub 12 different tests, but there’s like 60 more you might want to have. It gives you freedom to decide vs being forced to do what your doctor says. Some states don’t let you do this yourself so that only doctors can order any blood tests, limiting patient flexibility
b7f4c53d00e8 6y ago
The other nice thing about paying for your own testing is that you control the results - you don't necessarily have to use your "real" name for the test, so your results won't necessarily be linked to your other health records + insurance records if you value your privacy.
Whatisthisbug3333 6y ago
This is an important point. Your health records with most doctors are NOT private. You want life insurance? You need to give them access to all your doctors and all his notes. You think when you told him you drink, do drugs, or thought you had a stroke that it will be private... wait till you try to get life insurance and they ask for access to all those records... those admissions will blow you out of the water trying to get life insurance.
says_harsh_things 6y ago
If you don't use your real name for the results, how do you use those results when they get back to you other than just for your own knowledge?
If they show your T is actually low enough that you need to supplement it, wouldn't you have to re-do the test under your correct name so it could be used to prescribe a treatment?
b7f4c53d00e8 6y ago
Yes. T is a relatively low-risk thing to test under your own name - privacy may be more important with other tests which might indicate health risks/problems.
When I've done the testing, I've done it with my real name but they don't ask for my social security number and I haven't provided it. They don't ask for ID when I provide the blood sample, so I could theoretically have given them any name I wanted.
says_harsh_things 6y ago
Understood, thanks.
I'm actually headed to the doctor tomorrow and would like to ask them to test my T when they do the bloodwork, but I'm not sure how to suggest it in a way that seems reasonable other than "it seems a lot of guys have low T, I want to make sure Im not one of them"
b7f4c53d00e8 6y ago
You might have better luck if you mention typical symptoms of low T - but my impression is that most doctors won't order the test unless you've got big problems, especially if you're relatively young.
Insurance won't necessarily cover it - and it may be that your doctor isn't going to write you a prescription for T even if you are low, so he's not in a big hurry to test for a problem he's not going to try to fix, even if you have it.
dawnlander 6y ago
I thought I was low-T because I've been low mood and had some performance anxiety related issues in the bedroom through the summer. Went through WellnessFX and got the Performance Package. It was a pretty thorough panel. My brother took the same test before me and had seriously low T (same as a 60 year old male) and elevated DHEA (possibly implying an endocrine issue not converting precursors correctly).
I was healthy everything except a few biomarkers being slightly high or low (the worst being significantly high iron). Had a few different kinds of T-Cells being a little high showing possible inflammation. Made me realize its more in my head than being purely organic in origin. I recommend it though so that you know.
kenpachitz 6y ago
Given the context, this sounds like a conscious thing to do.
What is it exactly?
Pooddit 6y ago
There was a study that showed people who play shooter games and win a lot have more brain grey matter. Those that lost a lot had less.
People that dominate in everything that they do have more brain serotonin than those who don't. It can almost be said that for many people, the cause of their depression is being a loser.
Winners are people who commit to succeeding, to being rewarded for hard work.
How to become a winner: Set a reasonable goal, say, getting swole, and commit to getting from point A to point B, no matter what. This requires consistency, hard work, and constantly looking for ways to improve. You will realize that the obstacles are a given, and are a necessary part of the process. So much that without them, the game is no fun.
Being a winner has a compounding effect, just like being a loser does as well. The more successes you experience, the more efficient and effective you become at succeeding, in all things you do. There is a synergistic effect where successes in one area of your life spreads to other areas of your life. You just have to commit, point A to point B, use your creativity. Recognize the negative thoughts as simply something trying to keep you from point B. Negative people, work, life, woman, family, finances, all these things will keep you from succeeding if you let them. Be solution oriented. You only fail if you give up, but you can also remain stagnant, if you don't follow rule 3 above: constantly be looking for ways to improve.

I just inject myself with Test and other shit and live life on easy mode
[deleted]
[deleted] 6y ago
Injecting impairs your bodies ability to naturally synthesise testosterone, if you stop, your levels will drastically plummet. Not to sound like a hippie, but in this case it is best to go all natural, raise levels by getting more red meat, eggs and whole milk (animal based sources of protein in general) and going to the gym as often as possible.
Extremely_Photogenic 6y ago
That is objectively false. Anecdotally, my pre cycle test was the same as post cycle

I would not suggest starting unless it is necessary- you should limit dependency upon things which may not be accessible in the future.

[deleted] 6y ago
So human beings are required to drink other mammals milk in order to have normal testosterone? Well that makes sense. Funnily enough people used to have a lot higher T levels 50+ years ago, even though they had a lot less of those back in the day. (Like, who doesn't eat enough meat?) Funnily enough vegans have normal T levels without having any of those.
TRT hasn't stopped my body's ability to produce T, but that's another story.
hypebeasts101 6y ago
It may not have stopped your body from producing T, but it definitely lessened it. That's just how TRT works.
[deleted] 6y ago
I'm not your average guy unfortunately. I hyper-excrete sex hormones. So I use testosterone gel daily. However by the evening I have nothing left of it anyways, so my hypotalamus has no idea that there was any in the first place. If I'd switch to injections, that would be a different case. There's also HCG that keeps your balls at work.
mylittlehandgun 6y ago
been injecting for 4 weeks, dont really feel or look different
Extremely_Photogenic 6y ago
Enanthate? You won't feel it until 4-8 weeks. I'm 4 weeks into my current cycle and 100% feel it. What's your dose?
mylittlehandgun 6y ago
cypionate 350mg/week
what i felt for 1st 2 weeks was HORRIBLE PIP. nowadays I just get super mild fatigue and fever symptoms the day after.
Extremely_Photogenic 6y ago
That was what I felt like my first cycle. I switched sources and have 0 pip/flu symptoms
squidracer 6y ago
Do you use an AI? With that much test to need to watch for estrogen spikes
mylittlehandgun 6y ago
yes 1 mg arimidex per week
mylittlehandgun 6y ago
Using about 1mg arimidex per week.
squidracer 6y ago
Any puffy nipples? Sore joints?. Maybe you dropped your E levels to low. I take. 5 mg once a week while using 240 cyponate a week. Some weeks I don't even need that
mylittlehandgun 6y ago
no to both, i take a either 1 or 2 dutasteride pills a day which means that taking an AI is necessary, since blocking the DHT pathway will result in more test converting to Estrogen.
LibertyIsNotFree 6y ago
If you're injecting T and seeing no effect you're being a total pussy in the gym or a pussy refusing the gym.
squidracer 6y ago
Or he isn't watching e2 levels

Nothing will ever fix your insecurity except you choosing to get over it.
mylittlehandgun 6y ago
Yea I'm beginning to realize this. I've tried various chemicals and things to try and cure it without any results.
After testosterone, the last thing on my list is cosmetic surgery.
TheAC997 6y ago
Next time you have an opportunity to talk to a girl, don't think "alright, time to make her date me," think "alright, time to practice my skills. She'll tell me to fuck off, but it's practice, so who cares."
ambientwhisper123 6y ago
The next thing and what should have been the first thing on your list is to put in the hard work to fix your self. You're looking for quick fixes and they don't exist. You're just going to fuck your body up and end up right where you started. Stop being a pussy and trying to cut corners.
mylittlehandgun 6y ago
Ive been reading red pill shit for a long time and have put in work in the most talked about category, fitness. However, for various reasons with a shirt on I dont look like I lift.
Its no longer a matter of finding quick fixes but more of doing unorthodox shit to get me closer to a destination.
LibertyIsNotFree 6y ago
If you want surgery, have surgery. But don't do it because you'll think it'll fix you. Those feelings aren't based in reality, they're all in your head. You'll just wake up with more debt and feel the same.
If you're overweight surgery isn't a great option. They can get rid of the fat but its only a marginal difference if you don't actually have muscle underneath also its targeted effort, to do a whole body is possible but you better have deep pockets.
If being overweight is a main concern, the very first thing you need to do is download MyFitnessPal or whatever and track everything you eat. You need to shine the light on your bad eating habits, that's the only reason people are overweight (short of actual thyroid problems or other real medical conditions). It becomes alot easier to eat healthier when you see you're about to add another 500, 800 calories to your day and know that is not letting you stay in a caloric deficit.
mylittlehandgun 6y ago
surgery would be for hairline and maybe a chin implant. I dont have a problem losing weight, infact its the opposite.
LibertyIsNotFree 6y ago
Go get your hair fixed, that won't fix you but you'll be alot happier at what you see in the mirror

tibikush2012 6y ago
I see here advices on supplemeting with zinc, Vitamine D, omega 3 and what not.
Enough with the bro science. What lowers your T is lack of unaerobic exercise, not enough intake of mono and unsaturated fats and not having enough sex or atleast sexual arousal. I have never been supplementing with all the stuff people say here that you should take and my free T is high almost too high.
1)remember to check for FREE T or atleast have both total T and SHBG 2)remember as well that part of this is genetic and there is nothing you can do but to atleast max out your potential 3)AVOID FAKE FOOD AT ALL COSTS! ONLY eat fresh veggies and fruits, REAL meat (one that you must east at the same day or at max the day after after you buy it) and NOT INDUSTRIAL FOOD AND PRE PREP FOOD!
[deleted]
RedwallAllratuRatbar 6y ago
nice , meanwhile easter european people eat bread and kolbasa (sausage) and have way higher testosterone than rest of the white world
[deleted] 6y ago
"What lowers your T is lack of anaerobic exercise"
(Sorry don't know how to quote format)
That can be a big factor but there can be lots of other factors affecting your T production. Your pituitary gland, your thyroid, and the many hormones made in those places in your body can also affect your T levels (just as significantly). As can a myriad of other things.
tibikush2012 6y ago
You are right. But we cant control our pituitary gland or our thyroid (to an extent). But you should optimize the things YOU CAN control
[deleted] 6y ago
Except you can? Unless you are referring to only lifestyle changes
Edit: I would consider medication something you can control
tibikush2012 6y ago
I meant without the use of medication
[deleted] 6y ago
What's your adversity to using medicine to solve these problems?
tibikush2012 6y ago
I have nothing against medicine... I am a doctor myself haha
In case of low T due to disfunction of one your glands, of course you should use medicine. But if you have low T due to other stuff (like lazyness and depression) you should solve those naturally (since there arent any medicine for those..)

Whatisthisbug3333 6y ago
Go out to a bar tonight and in the morning you will have your results. If you come back from the bar empty handed, you have low testosterone.. if you fuck some chick you have good levels, if you get into a fight you have high levels, if you both fuck and get into a fight you’re on steroids
acetylcysteine 6y ago
go to a doctor and get free, total and bioavailable testosterone blood work.
Wolverines_MAGA 6y ago
As men, testosterone is our life force. Why would you put that into someone else hands so they can tell you that your T level of 250 is acceptable and within range? Educate yourself and get your own bloodwork done.
acetylcysteine 6y ago
unfortunately if you live in most countries with socialized medicine you can't just get bloodwork as you please.
samenrofringslikeLBJ 6y ago
As a Swede, I've had bloodwork done 2 times in the past 10 years. If i called the hospital for a checkup they would laugh at me. I'm kinda jelly of all the Americans in here.
Galactic-Unicorn 6y ago
Yes. Your internet research trumps my medical degree.
Wolverines_MAGA 6y ago
Exactly and don't assume... No offense to Doctors but they have hundreds of patients with a wide variety of ailments. I have one patient, ME. With one focus, My testosterone. No one will care more about that than the individual.
zanzabar209 6y ago
As someone who works with patients and their doctors orders, they routinely show their ass. I give zero shits about a degree. I wanna see and hear your knowledge. My friends psych thought one drug was anothe class of drugs and wouldn't admit she messed up and went with it. Doctors are fucks
Galactic-Unicorn 6y ago
A doctor will take all of your health into view when making recommendations. They won't stop at testosterone. Also, natural ways of boosting it are significantly better than injecting as some guys were advocating above.
Wolverines_MAGA 6y ago
All great tips and here are 4 that are always overlooked and don't get enough attention. Avoid at all costs... your health. Learn how to read labels!
This shit is in EVERYTHING, learn how to read labels. Don't get caught up by the smoke and mirrors when the package reads "Natural or Healthy". The devil is in the details and usually the products that use those catch phrases in bold on the packaging usually have more sugar, soy or any of the other shit they cooked up from the chemistry lab/experiment.
destraht 6y ago
Minerals are important as hell. I take vegetable derived zinc and I dose on seaweed for iodine once in a while. Then selenium helps the body get arid of weird junk that shouldn't be there. We need minerals to both produce stuff that should be there and minerals to remove stuff that shouldn't be there. There is a huge issue with our farming techniques since we run the soil ragged by injecting it with the equivalent of cheap testosterone, sugar and adrenaline and its very tired. The bacteria and fungus don't have enough time to break down the rocks into forms that can be absorbed by plant roots. That shit goes back to ancient times with ideas like letting the ground go fallow for seven years. They cheat it as much as possible by merely rotating with a short fallow time. People are mineral deficient and we are passively and actively intaking chemicals that our biology hasn't adapter to handle well and its low on the (mineral) tools.
Veegun 6y ago
What's wrong with monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fats? Seems crazy to avoid nuts, olives etc
Qbi99 6y ago
Unsaturated fats are very good, only if they're in cis-form. If they're in trans-from (for example: after heating) they are treated as saturated fats which is very unhealthy. Conclusion is that nuts and olive are very healthy but only in cool or room temperatures
Veegun 6y ago
This should be a wake up call to anyone who watches buzzfeed or doesn't lift
lawlyer1216 6y ago
sleeeep! I am a multiple all nighter per week guy and when I got my t levels checked I was low. adequate sleep imo is one of the top reasons the stereotypical nerdy guy is extra frail (lifting is huge, but there are relatively ‘normal’ weight people who don’t lift). One of our biggest sources of natural t comes in deep sleep. Make sure your workouts don’t go to waste by getting adequate sleep.
Whatisthisbug3333 6y ago
Why would you do multiple all nighters a week.. totally counter productive
wanderer779 6y ago
This thread is getting bro-scienced to a point where it's not even useful. I don't know much about this but after some quick googling for some studies the takeaways were:
Diet:
eat animal fat & protein
eat a balanced diet
get enough calories, as well as macro and micro nutrients
get enough sleep
don't be fat
if you aren't getting enough nutrients from your diet, supplement.
exercise:
resistance training elevates T for a while. I've heard this doesn't last, but who cares, it helps with the other factors and it's fun and has other benefits. Cardio also appears to help, but I seem to recall some bad health effects from excessive cardio (defined as over 20 miles running a week if I remember right)
lifestyle:
get some sun
don't stress yourself out. If you're chronically stressed you need to do something about it. Don't get annoyed by unimportant stuff like dudes who type up lists instead of writing paragraphs
don't work for buzzfeed
If anyone has more to add that isn't bro-science I'd love to hear it.

mummersfarce_is_done 6y ago
Higher T levels will bring you pleasure too.
Sonos 6y ago
It is a catalyst for hair loss too. Swings and roundabouts.
[deleted] 6y ago
Well, you also need bad genes for hair loss. Some people also convert testosterone to DHT differently, so total T doesn't always tell the whole truth. In the end the question is usually about whether you're willing to lose your hair for a normal sex drive.
