TL;DR Screen or vet the shit out of her if you are thinking about marriage
I got married on Friday. Wife broke down Sunday and admitted her dyslexia is worse than she told me in he past. She struggles to read
Must have been awkward reading of the vows
Herpes. Wish I was kidding. Found out from her obstetrician when she was six months pregnant and we went in for an appointment and his first question to her was, "How's the herpes, any flare ups?"
Here's your marriage license and here's your Valtrex
she told her sister that she only married me because she knew I'd be a stable provider and father, not because she loved me.
It wasn't until after we married that she told me that her and her two brothers had a very fulfilling sexual relationship through out their childhood
that she had been engaged exclusively in homosexual relationships before we met.
Women in these situations never seem to have dated just one gay guy
The fact that she's an anxious, neurotic mess. I had no idea. She seemed so chill before we got married. Still, once that ring was on her finger, the truth came out in her behavior
My spouse [wife] came out as trans 3 months after we got married
Not sure how you miss the boat on that one
My wife was actually 7 years older than she claimed to be...it wasn't just done for vanity or to deceive me
"it wasn't done to deceive me"
She was HIV positive
I still don't know how many guys she slept with other than it was over 30
she was a pothead, was quite fond of cocaine and was a little...er...promiscuous
That she was completely 'vanilla' sexually and very low libido. And so that interesting sex we used to have and talk about regularly, turns out it was mostly her playing along. It quickly became plain sex, and then that became apologies
And on and on and on...

"Bitches ain't shit but hoes and tricks." - Snoop Dogg
See a lot of you probably heard that song back in the day and thought "this is just a black guy mouthing off some hood shit."
But No. That shit is some philosophy. Hoes (promiscuous) tricks (manipulative.) Get it? Hoes. And. Tricks. You can't trust women, they're innately duplicitous. Call it bitter, call it what you like. Reject it, kick and scream, pedestalise them hoes and try to see the best in them. Go on. You won't have the last laugh being naive. Men like me will.
IceBunz 9y ago
I wish I could have kids with an actual man, the only reason I would want to get married is because I want kids. Fuck bitches man..
EDIT: I'm not homosexual, that stuff just doesn't turn me on in anyway. I wish I could be though, seems like it's a big fucking privilige these days haha

Oh... dude... "tricks" is slang for what whores do for money.
Some people have been redefining it as more general terms like you have, but in Snoop's day, a trick just meant selling your body.

AssedM 9y ago
No, tricks literally means deceiving. They call it 'turning tricks' because they are tricking men to thinking they are more attractive then they are through fake hair, nails, makeup to get them to pay. That also why they say it ain't tricking if she got it, as in her features aren't fake. Makeup used to be only worn by prostitues, hence the term 'painted whore'. Makeup only started to become more mainstream as rich noble woman started wearing it as rebellion.
no_face 9y ago
Actually, makeup became acceptable to the mainstream society after glamorous hollywood stars started using and endorsing it.
AssedM 9y ago
It was acceptable since ancient Roman times 2000 years ago, it was just expensive so only whores or rich woman would wear it. America was way late to the game because of their super puritan values and very negative public attitude towards sex which is still influences American values today (think Bill Clinton).
beerthroway 9y ago
Just goes to show that while sluts may not be good LTR material, they sure are attractive!

Unfortunately, every situation I've seen only supports this assessment (including my recent post in r/askTRP about a friend divorcing his BPD wife). As someone who eventually wants kids, I feel like I'll be screwed no matter what. Even if I do everything perfectly, AWALT. Identifying red flags, doing some investigation into her background, and following /u/HumanSockPuppet 's advice about permanent demotion in LTRs are probably the only protection men have in such situations.
rpscrote 9y ago
This is the problem. There is no "perfection." It doesn't exist. There is no perfect human and there never will be. Perfection is innately subjective.
Further, "doing things to perfection" implies you are operating in her frame. Perfect -- according to her standards. Which is by definition not perfect, because women want you to lead not follow.
Drop the idea of perfection from your thought vocabulary altogether. It's a hindrance. Only seek to be better than you were yesterday, to be honest to yourself in what you want, and if a bitch falls out because she can't handle your pursuit of your truest, best self -- then fuck her.

Granted that it's difficult to find women for dating in Pakistan at first but applications like tinder etc are getting popular, plus online dating is feasible nowadays.
All you need to do is:
A) Visit Pakistan
B) Live here for few months (it's cheap)
C) Sign up to dating websites, go to simple events, get to know few girls.
D) Fuck them (if possible), start a relationship with them
Yes, Religion is a hurdle at first but most wouldn't give two fucks about it and will gladly marry you. They're quite loyal as well, you rarely get divorced and they usually look forward to having children.
They're a safe bet as well.
[deleted] 9y ago
Isn't surrogacy illegal in Pakistan?
Totsean 9y ago
[deleted] 9y ago
A Pakistani girl would be happy to marry a foreign man & bear a child. A man can truly love a women from head to toe but a women who wants to get married is not looking for love but in reality looking for a stable provider\white knight\nice guy to manipulate & financially support their children & the wife herself.Women have a princess complex when it comes down to views of marriage. In my view Pakistani girls are AWALT . Their pride & ego raises above the ceiling once they marry a foreigner & move out with the prospective husband to the foreign country . And would not language be a communication barrier & cultural clash exist? How about religion in case the prospective Pakistani girl is a Muslim and the guy is Christian\Jew\Buddhist ?
After marriage a Pakistani girl would then start to manipulate , control & play mind games with the man (From experience Pakistani girls are like that). Their would be continuous shit tests & will see how much a twit can the husband be in the name of love. If a person is a "Nice guy" few years down the line the lady would cross path with a well established man & then the hypergamy kicks in . If the husband is controlling & demanding she would wrongly accuse the husband. Its a catch 22 situation.
The only way to survive in case the marriage path is chosen is to dominate them & show them their place. My view's might be a bit extreme but I am talking from experience . If it wasn't for the red pill & MGTOW I would be imprisoned in the marriage institution forever.
EDIT: Typo error's :)
Totsean 9y ago
True to some extend, but they don't necessarily cheat or run away easily. However ego issues, religion etc that can't be helped. I personally wouldn't marry one since I am not into marriage or kids. But I have sisters and they're raising kids fine.
vengefully_yours 9y ago
Sure thing, but you have to be muslim, which means converting, and you have to get her parents to like you, as well as her older brothers. Then you have the problem of actually meeting them, which isn't easy.
I almost married a gulf Arab woman back in 1991, the process for a white American man to marry an Arab girl was stressful to say the least. Her mom got cold feet about it, and my military supervisor did his best to fuck me over. His pentecostal ass had a problem with me hooking up with a non white and changing my religion. Those girls are very different from ours, if you can get over all the hurdles, it's usually worth it.
Newdist2 9y ago
That's how it should be!
Historically, that's how it was everywhere, not just Pakistan.
fuckeh 9y ago
I disagree. I honestly hate having to deal with a woman's parents. I want her to like me, I don't want to work for her parents approval, she's not a child. Not to say I hate all women's parents or I want them to dislike me, but I don't want to be vetted by a woman's parents like I'm a teenager.
Totsean 9y ago
Pakistan is a lot more progress, you can get hooked up easily.
vengefully_yours 9y ago
Lately you can get blown up easily. I stick out like a grain of rice in a bowl of raisins. Some people I know there tried to tell me I look more Syrian than of German ancestry. Blond hair and blue eyes really stands out. Might be better now that I am gray, just get a very dark tan.

Halfrican here. (Black father, white mother)
It's a cultural thing. Here's what my father told me from a young age
Just a couple of my dad's sayings, and as far as I can tell it's been rather good to me. These were some true RP talks I've had with my dad, that unfortunately were covered in the bullshit of attending an all white school system, even after college. I truly feel bad for some of these guys that have been force fed it all their lives.
edit: I just now remembered this one:
-Never trust a white man. Young, older, it doesn't matter. They're all looking out for themselves under the guise of helping you. The only difference between a black man and a white man is that the black guy will let you know that he's only out for himself.
Dev_on 9y ago
the trick is to have your whole understanding of the black experience based on rappers you hear on the radio.
If I got my impression of white guys through pro golf, I'd assume a lot of weird shit too
kingofpoplives 9y ago
The white leftists who have turned many white males into pussies have failed to achieve the same level of influence in minority communities.
Nearly all non-white ethnic groups are more culturally red pill than whites. Actually Non-Western might be a better descriptor as many eastern euros are RP af.
throwyourfaceawaybro 9y ago
Until you get to the part where they (I'm talking percentages here, not trying to generalize) depend on the system created by the leftists for survival. That's not very RP, IMO. What they do learn however is that no one, with the exception of their mother, gives a fuck about them or their well-being in earnest. As men we all learn this eventually but that shit is ingrained into a black man's psyche from childhood.
There has to be a distinction made between RP behavior and being conditioned to treat people like shit. Thug niggas will bust your fuckin head for stealing their girl just like any other man of any race who loathes himself instead of directing that vitriol toward the hoes that deserve it. IMO, a true RP man is above all the petty shit and only fights for survival or sport.

as someone who has never been in america and never seen a black guy from the US live (only videos) : in my opinion black people are way more socially skilled. i never saw a black guy who behaves like a huge nerd. look at Neil deGrasse Tyson. a astrophysicist, normally these kind of guys are pretty beta. I once saw a video of him on a party and the way he talks and dances is not like a random white guy.
its like they have been teached since childhood how to socialize, behave, talk (social skills)

He passed years ago, but I have held dear to his words and am actually married with a son now. Didn't end up too bad, but as always, a little extra comes out after the ring is on. She was a small town girl anyway so all I needed was 90% of truth, which I pretty much got from the jump. They all hide something, but know if the risk is worth the reward in the end. We can't really lie about how much we make. Our homes, cars, wardrobe, drinking and drug habits blatantly advertise that fact. To the point where some of us use it as bait.
vengefully_yours 9y ago
I hide it rather well. I drive old cars, dress like Johnny Bravo, and don't spend anything on them. Where I live most everyone is poor, that means lots of gold diggers. My daily driver is a mid 90s Tahoe, and they don't get to see the GTOs and Trans Ams until after we been fucking a while.

these guys sound dumb, you should always check out a girl's driver's license to verify age, etc. before you have unprotected sex, you should both be tested & see the written official results.
if you are thinking of a girl for a ltr, the best way to find out about her past is to bring up past exploits but be non-judgemental. they will brag & tell you everything. just don't react with your face & they will spill the beans. not every girl is ltr material.

cocaine_face 9y ago
The only times you should get married are for professional reasons, as a calculated risk.
Politicians, CEOs or other high end executives, and other power players sometimes need to have a wife in high society to appear, "respectable".
If you're not 1% or aren't aiming to be one with a -damn- good shot at it, you shouldn't get married.
vicious_armbar 9y ago
It doesn't even make sense to get married then, as long as you're not living in a common law marriage state. Let her have the party, buy her the ring, just don't sign the paperwork. How would anyone know that you're not "really" married?
cocaine_face 9y ago
Pretty sure it's a matter of public record, is it not?
An argument could be made to not get married at that level (it should still be the default decision), but all I'm saying is the question of whether to get married or not has some actual play at that level. That's the whole calculated risk aspect of it. Is it worth it for you not to get married versus getting married with a contract versus "getting married" but with no contract?
You have to weigh the different alternatives and decide between them.
The vast majority of men don't have any compelling reason whatsoever though.
yungkrizzleshawty 9y ago
Taxes.
Adach 9y ago
There are a few reasons. In MA, the amount of money you can sell your house for taxfree increases if you're married. Also for citizenship reasons it could be benificialdepending on the situation. Other than that though...

Yeah, you have a point but look at the list of negatives... those reasons you stated aren't that compelling.

What the fuck is going on in these comments? I've never seen TRP try so hard to justify women acting like assholes.
elysius 9y ago
This is what's going on. Be alert.
[deleted]
[deleted] 9y ago
Why are you posting in that blue pill subreddit and then coming in here concern trolling?
Buchloe 9y ago
Everyone knows men are capable of it. But most guys won't admit or realize that women are just as bad. They're to sweet and pretty to do wrong.
elysius 9y ago
No one here needs to be told what men are capable of. Society and the media have been telling us this since the day we were born. Many men, however, need to be told the other side of the story, a side that is deliberately downplayed and kept out of the messages sent to us by the same society and media, to the detriment of men everywhere.
This place is dedicated to that other side, so it is completely beside the point that "men do it too", since we are not here to learn about our own sex.
Failing to recognize, respect or act accordingly to this either makes you stupid or a concern troll, in neither case a valuable addition to the sub.
thechairinfront 9y ago
I don't see a lot of media cover up of women being awful. There's lost of literature on it and even movies dedicated to how awful women are. It's just that it's not ALL about women being awful. To focus specifically on the one aspect that ya'll have been ignoring breeds hate and you go from one end of the spectrum to the other end. Neither end is preferable, but they should be well balanced somewhere in the middle.
elysius 9y ago
No one's been ignoring anything, which is what makes your plea for "balance" transparent for the attempt of manipulation it really is. You really think we can't tell you're only saying this because you got offended that OP is painting women in a bad light, which shows where your true affiliation really lies? Please. And to coat it in SJW language only makes it more pathetic.
Diarrhea_Van_Frank 9y ago
I notice you've posted a decent amount in SRS. That's enough for me to completely disregard your contribution to the conversation.
Diarrhea_Van_Frank 9y ago
Which is a tacit justification. "Men do it too!" isn't the point of the post. If you want to see men acting like assholes you can look literally anywhere. That's not important or new.
InferiousX 9y ago
I wish for the life of me I could remember the dudes name. Black guy doing stand up.
Basically said that women love to call out the "men do it too" line a lot. And if what men do is the moral compass of women, then the idea that they have higher morals is "pure faggotry"

BlackHeart89 9y ago
Damn. I bet he thought he was being clever. "Now I know that she isn't with me just for the money".
I mean, it may work out.... If he's redpill.
Newdist2 9y ago
Good way to get your prenup thrown out.
dgillz 9y ago
How is this a good way to get your prenup tossed? Please explain.
KyfhoMyoba 9y ago
Fraud: The misrepresentation of a material fact and the inducement of another in reliance upon it to part with some valuable thing or legal right.
vox_veritas 9y ago
Divorce lawyer here: Generally speaking, in any jurisdiction, for a prenup to be upheld, both parties must have given and received full, fair, and complete financial disclosure.
dgillz 9y ago
So if you are worth a ton of money you have to disclose it? You cannot just date and eventually marry a woman without financial disclosure?
vox_veritas 9y ago
Sure you can. I'm just talking about being able to enforce a prenup should the marriage end.
Oprahforpresident 9y ago
What if you dont convey fraudulent info and instead just say any prematerial property/bank accounts will not be considered marital property should you divorce? Do you still need to give full disclosure of your assets and net worth?
vox_veritas 9y ago
Yes, you still need to disclose. The idea is that you can't make a truly informed decision to sign the agreement without full disclosure.
Newdist2 9y ago
Because she's signing the prenup on the assumption that he has at most $100k in assets, when in fact he has $100M+. It isn't fair for her to sign that away when she doesn't know what she's signing away.
cariboo_j 9y ago
LOL it's even less fair that she's entitled to 50% despite having done nothing to earn it
PPSF 9y ago
It's not fair for her to assume she gets half of it just for being a glorified babysitter, either.
lalicat 9y ago
I had access to my wife's medical record before we got married. I screened the fuck out of it. I even told her that's what I was doing when I was doing it. I did it on the electronic record too where she couldn't just remove a few pages.
She didn't protest just said 'oh lalicat, you're paranoid but whatever' she thought it was cute. Obviously she had nothing to hide and after getting her friends drunk and questioning them I realized I found a legit bitch and wifed her. She's been an amazing mother and perfect wife.

jotch 9y ago
Yeah but who pays who when it comes to divorce 99% of the time?
thechairinfront 9y ago
When there are no children involved, it's split pretty evenly. Why be so against marriage when it's the kids that are causing men to pay out the ass? Wrap your shit and STOP HAVING KIDS!
jotch 9y ago
You're forgetting alimony.
NeopolitanAfterglow 9y ago
WTF? You hate kids but you think marriage is great? I can't wrap my head around that one.

Then your wife will just have a kid with someone else and make you pay for it.

OP is still essentially cherry picking + confirmation bias. dozens of examples of men hiding awful stuff in there - but no it's the WOMEN who are oh so terrible.
who shit on your sandwich today?
elysius 9y ago
I don't usually debate on the internet, but when I do, it's with people using decade old memes.
vengefully_yours 9y ago
The difference is we are told women aren't like that, and to point out they are is misogyny. No shit men do bad things, but everyone knows that, nobody is trying to claim otherwise. With women they want you to believe the bullshit, then call you bitter and say you "chose the wrong one" when in reality, under the criteria, they would all be the wrong one.
Bitches ain't special, no matter how much they claim to be.
[deleted] 9y ago
There's little danger of MEN fucking me or most of the men in this thread over in a relationship. So yeah, WOMEN are oh so terrible, and keep that in mind the next time you're thinking about putting a ring on some twat's puffy sausage finger.

ANDREW DICE CLAY: Hey, is that your chick there?
GUY IN THE AUDIENCE: Yeah!
DICE: Damn she’s pretty hot!
GUY: Yeah,..
DICE: You been together a while?
GUY: About 6 months.
DICE: Nice. She faithful to you?
GUY: Oh yeah.
DICE: She good in bed?
GUY: nods head enthusiastically
DICE: She suck a good dick?
GUY: (laughing) Ohhh yeah,..heheh,..
DICE: I suppose the next question would be, “How do you suppose she got that way?”
prodigyx 9y ago
Years ago I would have asked "How does that happen to someone?" but today I know that these are the types of things that happen when you aren't in control of your own life; when you let other people's narrative direct your actions and your purpose in life.
Live for yourself.
yougotshitonyourass 9y ago
Exactly and the question is "Why a man would marry a whore or could not even make the difference between a woman and a transexual or worst ?"
The answer is the old-but-so-true topic Why betas marry leftovers in the first place: r/TheRedPill/comments/22vk6f/the_art_of_whore_why_betas_marry_leftovers_by/
BrunoOh 9y ago
Harder than you and I would think apparently. They make those vaginas pretty realistically. If you don't catch them lubing it up there's a good chance they can fool you.
yougotshitonyourass 9y ago
I don't mean that way but more things about the facial bone structure (jaw and adam apple) and even if M2F transexuals seem to be female they still have the male brain part that make them pretty forward about fucking you.
The number of apprentice pua & tinder fellow who got fooled is high so you really need to check those kind of hints if you travel in thailand or brazil.

One of the sole reasons why I'm scared to get married. But I'm only 18, and things may change.
NiftyDolphin 9y ago
The only reason for a man to get married today is to provide a stable two-parent household for the raising of children.
That's. It.
In every other way, the risks outweigh the benefits for today's man.
kevkos 9y ago
DON'T EVER GET MARRIED! There's nothing in it for you. Think about it. It's NORMAL in our culture to marry, but not NATURAL. It's a made up thing by society. The rings, the contract with the government, the huge expensive party...it's all a deception. We can be happy with members of the opposite sex without all this nonsense, in fact, that stuff just makes it less likely you will be happy.

Not bloody likely. Magic Johnson was/is as queer as a nineteen dollar bill. I think he went to school in Florida and there are old guys in the gay community there running around with T shirts that say "I rod Magic's Johnson". Source: I got a slew of gay friends, and they are the most gossippy bitches you've ever met.

Never know. My ex-wife had an abortion when her schoolteacher boyfriend got her pregnant.
4 months later, her lawyer boyfriend got her pregnant. She suddenly became pro-life. Kid's 8 months old now. She sends me pictures, I'm pretending to be her friend until I'm done with alimony....
Newdist2 9y ago
Ah, my point was that after four abortions and at least one STD, her ability to carry a pregnancy to term is greatly diminished.
Happyhappyjoyjoy123 9y ago
^^True
Happyhappyjoyjoy123 9y ago
That abortion probably f-Ed her mind up
The 2nd pregnancy so soon after the 1st is what folks call a replacement baby...guilt got her bad
GC0W30 9y ago
The fact that the guy whose baby she kept grosses 3X what the father of the aborted fetus does may have played a factor.
We were married for most of a decade. Trust me. She 'lost her job' two months after our wedding, and didn't get another until a year after the divorce, which was... like 7 years later. Did nothing but sit around while I supported her and she took very good care of our two dogs, while cleaning and cooking for what I estimate at about 6 hours a week.
Happyhappyjoyjoy123 9y ago

NoMoBluepill 9y ago
A lot of those belong in /r/thathappened, come on guy recalibrate your bullshit detector.
But more than that, you took a few things out of context, the most glaring being the herpes one, where you conveniently left out the part where the guy had herpes too and was just as guilty as the girl. This shit happens to both sexes.
I'm all for TRP, but if you have to spew bullshit and pull stuff out of context with creative editing to make your point, then you don't have a point to make.
[deleted] 9y ago
You leave out the part where TRP isn't concerned with marrying men. I'm not concerned with the sort of man my "future wife" marries, but I am concerned with the sort of woman my "future wife" would be. Quotes for obvious reasons.
TRP isn't about womens' problems.
SatanSmiling 9y ago
Yes, but if men and women are facing the same problem, I don't think it's worthy of TRP discussion. The responses on there seem to be 50/50 from both genders, so looking at just the male ones seems to create a confirmation bias.
[deleted] 9y ago
What? This sub is about "Discussion of sexual strategy" which involves a lot of understanding a woman's nature (e.g. to rationalise almost anything). But some of those things are also generally human nature (i.e. they apply to men also). I can't fathom why you'd say that makes them irrelevant/unworthy for TRP.
[deleted] 9y ago
I'm not trying to fuck dudes, that's why. Whether a trait is general human nature or not matters zilch in regards to whether women exhibit that trait.
NoMoBluepill 9y ago
Uh, you should be concerned with the type of man "your future wife" marries because that's you! A man who doesn't care about the type of man he is, is the definition of a beta male.
And TRP certainly is concerned with "marrying men." One of TRP's most prominent posters is Ian Ironwood and he's been married for like 20 years. Granted I think the guy is a retard and a fake but he's one example among many. TRP is about self-actualization, for many (most, really) that includes marriage to THE RIGHT woman.
Also, TRP is about interaction between the sexes, which include both men and women's problems.
You have a very skewed grasp of what TRP is about, are you in high school? Check out the sidebar stuff, take some time off to mature, and then come back.
GC0W30 9y ago
You're missing the fact that SatanSmiling is referring to the act of marrying men, not men who marry.
RP theory applies in the lives of the LGBT community, but that's /r/altTRP ........ and technically I've only seen gay/bi men post over there. Lesbians won't show up for political reasons, although I've had discussions with high-assertiveness lesbians who are 100% on board with me any time I mention alpha behaviors making girls slippery and beta shit trying them out.
[deleted] 9y ago

PFN_LIST_FUCKED 9y ago
A friend told me about her marriage. I stay friends with her because her husband lives in a perpetual nightmare so bad that it terrifies me into bettering my life. She married him even though she feels no sexual attraction to him, but she thought it would get better after the wedding. She doesn't wear her ring. She doesn't call him "husband." She negotiated for a one time freebie bang before the wedding, and then extorted it into a polyamorous relationship where she goes to her husband for boring duty sex and fucks whomever she wants on the side. The "I wouldn't do this with my husband," kind of sex.
The guy is able to bang who ever he wants too, but he's fat, ugly, unemployed and hopeless.
KyfhoMyoba 9y ago
How can you look at her w/o disgust or contempt for her dishonesty? I'm occasionally banging a woman (lives 2 hours away) who's husband got her into 'hotwifing' (now full-on femdom cuckolding), and I have to focus REAL hard on her smokin hot appearance to keep myself from freaking out at her sociopathy - and HE'S the one that got her into it, he KNOWS what she's doing! The depravity of a woman or anyone that would commit that level of betrayal kind of makes me see red.
How do you do it?
dreamssmelllikeyou 9y ago
For a minute, as I browsed the TL;DR, I thought the stories were referring to the same woman

He dresses down, doesn't advertise that he is supplying large portion of the city with his services to avoid any kind of attention from gold diggers and opportunists.
the10thrider 9y ago
My job requires me to negotiate with plenty of millionaires and this is absolutely true. They'll usually have their toy car (usually 430 or 911 or AMG) and a simple Toyota, usually Camry or Prius, usually in immaculate condition. The wife will drive a Lexus SUV. Every time.

Overkillengine 9y ago
Oh hey and the great news is you can't back out of a marriage contract due to signing it under false pretenses too!
On top of the government being able to change the terms on a whim.
Men get NOTHING out of a marriage contract worthwhile that they could not get instead outside of one.
You don't need one to cohabit with a woman. You don't need one to fuck. You don't need one to have kids. Hell, if you got your shit together you don't need one to get custody.
That leaves some tax breaks in exchange for some extreme risk of financial ruin due to unhappy.
The modern marriage contract is not worth the paper it is written on- the paper at least you could wipe your ass with.
DistantWinter 9y ago
This is the truth...
I never stated this in conversation, but I'll begin to now if it is ever brought up again. My point of view was always business orientated.
Would you go into a business agreement knowing that 10 years down the road it's going to fail and the person leaving gets 50% of the business assets and 30% of your future income every week for the next 18 years.
Men say.... "Hell no" and the married men have a look of constipation.
Women say... "That's not what marriage is. It's based on love and trust." or "Then you've never been in love before." or "If I loved him then yes I would do that" blah, blah, blah, scorn and venom.
My response was always the same. Nothing lasts for ever not even love. Very happy I never got married. One of the better decisions I have made.
vicious_armbar 9y ago
That's not even the part that burns my ass. What's really outrageous is that child support debt is non-dischargeable, and a white night judge can throw you in the slammer if you're unable to pay due to illness, injury, or unemployment. No man should be thrown in jail with rapists and murderers; without ever being charged with a crime; and with out the right to a lawyer as well as a trial by a jury of his peers!
Throwing people in prison without: charging them with a crime, providing them legal representation, or giving them a fair trial is what they do in places like Saudi Arabia and North Korea. Hell at least in North Korea they bother to put on a mock trial. White knight judges in the U.S. can't even be bothered to do that much.
Happyhappyjoyjoy123 9y ago
I had a friend who had no idea his wife never ever wanted children and that she was sterilized. He was very clear about wanting a family with her. The thing is all their friends KNEW and said nothing to him. They divorced eventually. She died an alcoholic mess and then he found out she was sterilized from one of her distant cousins at the funeral.
He re-married after she died. I met him after he married the second woman.

My favorite part : THE CENSORSHIP!!
Oh my god, how many threads did the ADMINS delete? I'm talking at least 10-15 on the first page alone. I'm talking entire sub-trees of comments. Some with 100+ responses.
What's that all about, ya wonder?
thechairinfront 9y ago
There is a serious tag. You see this on all posts with a serious tag. If they are joke responses or not related to the question directly they are deleted. It's not censorship, it's the admins doing their job.

I have yet to meet a woman who didn't react in that sort of way.
The only woman I ever considered marrying had a bad habit of spending money when stressed. When angry, she would shut down and/or runaway from the problem. Even with those issues, she's still be the best chick I ever had. Smdh. I'm screwed. Lol
Grumpi83 9y ago
"The fact that she's an anxious, neurotic mess. I had no idea. She seemed so chill before we got married. Still, once that ring was on her finger, the truth came out in her behavior" This was my third wife. Sometimes I wonder how much of that was due to me being extremely beta. Oh well guess ill never know lol.
contrafagotto 9y ago
Student debt is another biggy. The wife of a friend of mine never mentioned her $40,000 in student debt until after they were married. That was after she "accidentally" got pregnant and pressured him into marriage.
DkorpiBSME 9y ago
I don't understand why someone would marry after their girlfriend got pregnant. I understand the cultural pressure, but you're already going to be dealing with child support, why sign a document so she can take half your wealth on top of the child support? I'm 27 and never grew up with my dad. When I turned 18, my mom's first words were "you should find your dad. He probably has a lot of money." Makes me sick.
Fetish_Goth 9y ago
Not only was my ex wife 5 years older than she said she was, she was also previously married (to a guy serving time), and only secured the divorce (in secret) a couple weeks before we got married.
Don't get married.
alpha_n3rd 9y ago
You never checked her ID? Shit I rifled through my wife's wallet on our 2nd date IIRC.
BlackHeart89 9y ago
Thats the thing. Why the fuck would you ever feel the need to do that before coming to TRP???
Its still crazy to me to feel the need to do a background check on chick I've known for 6+ months. But my eyes have been opened to reality.
Fetish_Goth 9y ago
She did everything I wanted her to do before we got married. I was happy. That sort of thing blinds you.

watersign 9y ago
man..this just goes to show you how many chumps are out there. i think in the future, with the advent of blogs and people sharing their lives..a larger number of men will be aware and avoid this shit. this sounds fucking terrible..all of this shit. sometimes being a MGTOW doesnt seem so bad when i read shit like this
[deleted] 9y ago
Some of those examples couldn't really be known to the guy like herpes, incest or HIV
sensualsanta 9y ago
What's your point? Men never lie and women always do? My dad didn't tell my mom he was an alcoholic pedophile until after it was too late. My cousin's dad didn't tell his wife he was gay. And what about men who take their vows and then repeatedly cheat on their spouses and hide affairs? So these things = all men are duplicitous? How about humans are just shitty most of the time?

Either he was a virgin or dumb as hell. No matter how convincing it was, a trans can't self lubricate!
HalfPastTuna 9y ago
Maybe she had just realized this and had not had any surgery or lifestyle changes
_JSmooth 9y ago
That's what I was thinking. "Came out as trans" often means "realized I'm a man trapped in a woman's body"
Which is still an equally upsetting bomb to drop. "Hey I know we just got married honey, but I'm going to start taking hormones and get my tits chopped off. Have fun with that."
fittitthroway 9y ago
Aka alpha widowed hard.
needless_pickup_line 9y ago
"I get a little dry can we use some lube."
So many male-to-female Trans people think potential partners don't have to know.
alpha_n3rd 9y ago
I know a married trans and I'm always curious what her husband knows/thinks. He can't seriously be so stupid as to not know... I mean I took one look at her and was like "man" and some googling proved it. But I guess you never know.
Happyhappyjoyjoy123 9y ago
He might be into that kind of thing.
needless_pickup_line 9y ago
Some people can never pass, but some guys are just slighter and more delicate and take to it better. With all the Tumblr SJW bullshit nowadays kids are also more exposed to that mindset earlier on and begin transitioning earlier, which lends itself to a more convincing appearance.
I once saw a gallery of a bunch of images from 4chan of Trans people transitioning. Legitimately like half of them were totally convincing and I wouldn't ever doubt they were cis women.
alpha_n3rd 9y ago
Yeah but that vajayjay... I don't care how good the surgeon is it CAN'T be the same as the real thing. Not to mention historical evidence. I mean do your due diligence before you sign the rest of your life over to somebody.
1independentmale 9y ago
I've never been with a tranny (that I know of) but I've seen pics and videos. There was a reddit thread a few years ago from one who had finished transitioning at like 19. He (she?) posted lots of close up pics of everything. I couldn't fucking tell the difference, looked like any other pussy I've ever seen. Dude (chick?) was hot as fuck, too. Easy 9. Said she'd been with a bunch of guys post-op, didn't tell them shit and none were the wiser.
fittitthroway 9y ago
Aren't you fucking an inverted penis or something?
needless_pickup_line 9y ago
You're right, but don't forget there are a lot of lonely betas out there without much experience who just take whatever they can get.
Also porn leads us to believe that most vaginas are relatively presentable but there are some nasty coochies out there. I think it's very possible that there are cis vaginas nastier than trans vaginas.
vicious_armbar 9y ago
Wouldn't they never get their period though? That would be a tip off as well.
alpha_n3rd 9y ago
Being an inquisitive person I've gone online and searched for images of trans vages and they look pretty goofy
also I dunno about you but I can feel my wife's cervix. But I have a larger than average cock.
plaaya 9y ago
There is no benefit for a man to get married.
GC0W30 9y ago
Custody rights are stronger for a husband/father in case of the wife's death than they are for the unwed domestic partner/father.
Meaning, if her folks want custody when you become a widower, your standing in court is stronger.
Only thing I can think of....
dicklord_airplane 9y ago
you can certainly benefit if you marry a much richer woman.
[deleted]
scotttherealist 9y ago
Well it gives you a tax break
dicklord_airplane 9y ago
not necessarily. some marriages can actually increase overall taxes if your combined income bumps you up into a higher tax bracket. you can get a tax break if your partner has a much lower income than yours, and there are taxes breaks when buying homes jointly... but then that situation is extremely risky for the richer person due to the way divorces usually go. i'd rather pay a bit higher taxes than enter a marriage.
scotttherealist 9y ago
Mmhmm. Small gains, huge risk
I_trp 9y ago
As opposed to the same tax break you get if you aren't legally married?
scotttherealist 9y ago
Huh? The way I understand it if you're married and file together your tax brackets are doubled, so if you make $100k and she makes $20k, it's taxed at the same rate as a single guy making $60k. I don't know of any similar tax break for filing single.
I_trp 9y ago
Sorry - didn't make my comment clear. As opposed to the same deduction you can take for your child if you aren't legally married.
Really a moot point though - you and I are on the same page. The risk isn't worth it.
[deleted] 9y ago
True but it does benefit a kid if you want to have one
vengefully_yours 9y ago
Until she takes off with the kid, gets the state to forcibly keep you away from them, she gets most of your income, and they grow up thinking you don't care about them.
Marriage is great for kids. Keep telling yourself that, it might be true someday.
makethemsayayy 9y ago
this nigga cant have a kid.....
KyfhoMyoba 9y ago
The kid does not benefit from the legal institution of marriage. The kid benefits from having two parents in a loving, permanent and stable relationship.

"We find that the relationship quality of intimate partners is related both to their marital status and, for married adults, to the degree to which these partners are normatively committed to marriage. So, claims that love, not marriage, are crucial to a happy family life do not hold up. Marriage matters even or especially when it comes to fostering high-quality intimate relationships."
kevkos 9y ago
Wrong. More than half of marriages end in divorce, and/or are unhappy. So you either have kids being raised by a single parent or by 2 unhappy ones. Not marrying won't solve this 100% but marriage is not some panacea for good parenting and really doesn't help kids.
alpha_n3rd 9y ago
You can cohabit and raise kids without getting married provided you don't live in a common-law marriage state. Otherwise you can not cohabit and still raise kids together.
Happyhappyjoyjoy123 9y ago
In terms of the well being of children, cohabitation is not the functional equivalent of marriage.
kevkos 9y ago
You're citing the law. I'm talking about what is natural. Marriage is not natural, kids or not, legal or not.

That research is funded by the institute for american values, an ultra-conservative american organization... It doesn't hold any value, it's simple propaganda.

Incorrect. It's been proven that a huge number of children born to married women have different fathers than the husband. Marriage in no way shields you from women cheating. Not to mention, the huge divorce rates and single moms.

thechairinfront 9y ago
Care to look at what the MEN lied about as well? This isn't some one sided thread where only women lied to their husbands until after they were married. For example
He was violent and sexually assaulted me a number of times during our 3 year marriage. Eventually I left, he was charged with the assaults I could prove and ended up going to jail.
Women aren't the only ones that are capable of lying before marriage and you should not portray it as such.
[deleted] 9y ago
It wasn't portrayed that way. You're acting like an irrational person who just gets an inexplicable "feeling" that a man means something different to what he's saying.
This sounds like a social justice warrior thing to say. Did you forget what sub this is? This is where men discuss their strategy on life/motivation/sex. The fact that women lie until after marriage is obviously an important topic for men considering marriage. The fact that other men lie is true, but hardly relevant to a redpill man and his strategy. (Unless your strategy is to say to a woman, "don't marry him ma'am, he's probably lying" like a whiteknight.)
[deleted] 9y ago
This sub isn't concerned with what other men lie about
thechairinfront 9y ago
Perhaps not but to portray women as the only ones that are the liars you're doing yourselves a disservice. You are convincing yourselves that women are the only ones capable of lying, when that simply isn't true. Men lied about things that were just as bad as what women lied about. You're deluding yourselves.
rpscrote 9y ago
who gives a flying fuck? This isn't about assigning blame, which should be obvious by now. It's about understanding reality. Unless you're gay, you don't have to worry about the things men lie about after marriage... Blame/fault is completely irrelevant.
[deleted] 9y ago
No I'm not, and you're actually the deluded one if you're so certain everyone on TRP isn't smart enough to interpret the data here. This is a collection of things women might lie about before marriage. There's probably a portrayal that many or most women are willing to lie in this way. But no one anywhere said "and that proves women are liars while men aren't". Nothing was said about men, and that "portrayal" of some sort of comparison is all in your head, don't say it's in mine.
[deleted] 9y ago
Most here are not concerned with marrying a man and what he might lie about afterwards
thechairinfront 9y ago
You seem to be missing the point. Both men and women lied about the same things. From having children, to being manipulative and psychotic. It's not just a female condition, it's the human condition. If you delude yourself into believing that women are the only ones who are capable of lying, to the extent that is mentioned, you're leading yourself into failure in every single relationship that you're ever going to have. The whole take away from that post is to be honest with your partner, no matter if you're a man or a woman.
This whole thread is becoming a circle jerk of "what whores" "Women are awful" "women suck" "Women are manipulative". When it's HUMANS that are. The only way to change that is to recognize it in ourselves and change it.
[deleted] 9y ago
Nothing OP said in the original post or his responses directly to you have implied this. It's completely in your head. Actually read his responses - he's not denying that men lie. He's saying that it's not relevant to TRP.
That's your "take away", and you're entitled to it. But don't act like that's the one true interpretation. Maybe my interpretation is to never marry. Maybe it's that humanity are awful. Maybe it's that I should marry and not worry about lying since she probably is as well. Different men will come to different conclusions, as part of their life/sex strategy.
I should stop responding to your posts. You seem to be a confused individual. I think you should read the sidebar and try to understand TRP better.

kevkos 9y ago
Very true. Which is again, another among THOUSANDS of reasons no one from either sex should get married. There is zero reason for it, marriage is a social construct. Yes it is NORMAL, but marriage is not NATURAL. Huge difference that eventually, people will learn. (although, with the divorce rates at 50%+ and most of the rest of the relationships in terrible shape, not sure why people still believe in this fantasy).
SgtBrutalisk 9y ago
What do you think about my theory that gay marriages are now legal in a desperate attempt to prop up plummeting marriage rates?
kevkos 9y ago
That would not surprise me! Simply because I've heard people claiming that the actual divorce rate is less than 50%...but they are taking divorce rates per INDIVIDUAL, so that is completely deceiving now that fewer people are getting married! Less marriage=less divorce, but marriages aren't any more solid than they used to be.
Happyhappyjoyjoy123 9y ago
What do you mean by not natural? Please expound.
kevkos 9y ago
Marriage is a societal construct, not something that exists in reality. It's original formation was intended for ownership and control, and to make sure the offspring is off the man's.
Having sex is natural.
Getting married is normal.
But getting married is not natural.
Marriage takes contracts, government, rings, big, expensive parties....these are in no way natural.
Happyhappyjoyjoy123 9y ago
I am not sure I understand what you mean by it does not exist in reality. Can you give an example of a societal construct that you think exists in reality? Or something that exists in reality that is not a social construct?
Aren't there earlier societies where there were none of the things you listed (government, rings, expensive parties etc.) but there were still marriages?
Marriage has been around a very very long time. What is your source for saying its original formation was intended for ownership, control, and ensuring a child is the result of coitus between the husband and wife?
kevkos 9y ago
No societal constructs exist in reality. Government included. They are made-up. Marriage was designed by governments to control people. It has no reason to exist today other than tradition. Most people are simply brainwashed to think it's natural. It's not.
Because marriage has been around for a while, doesn't mean it's healthy. Just look at the dismal numbers. And, how can you believe in "together forever"? That's another thing that does not exist. It's people's fantasies. You can't know what you will be like in 10 years let alone someone else. It's a fallacy.
I'm sure you can go to wikipedia and look at the history.
Also I recommend JJ Roberts' book at site, Sex 3.0 to learn more about this.
Happyhappyjoyjoy123 9y ago
Dismal numbers are a more recent phenom.
Marriage predates government.
I have enough examples of "together forever" in my family and the families of my peer group to make it reasonable to me that it can exist.
Depends on the determination of the individual person in the marriage if they have the will to make it work come hell or high water. For better or worse are some serious serious words. One couple said marriage is not for cowards.
Of the successfully into old age couples I have seen (married 50+ years), they know each in a way that seems like time and surviving in life together has melded them into one. Serious illness, death of children, war, etc. they suffered it together. They were battle worn partners.
I have found Wikipedia to be unreliable when conversing with actual intellectuals. Peer reviewed, well researched sources are more trustworthy in my experience.
With the whole "redefinition" of marriage, I came across a very interesting book written by 3 heterosexual men.
What Is Marriage? By Robert George, Sherif Girgis, and Ryan T. Anderson
The footnotes in the book have provided valuable scientific and historical information.
Here is a link to a much shorter version published in the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy however the published book has been updated to address questions the authors received but in the short term the linked info is sufficient for anyone who wants to be informed by actual research.

kevkos 9y ago
Marriage means signing a contract with another person AND the government saying you'll be with that person FOREVER. Does that make any sense to you?
Yes, some people "make it work". Others claim to be happily handcuffed to their partner.
But let's talk about the majority. More than half get divorced. Of the other half, at least half of them are unhappy with their partner. That's at least 75% failure rate.
Would you jump out of an airplane if you were given a 25% chance of your parachute opening?
Then why would you get married?
This doesn't even consider the legal ramifications that men face. She CAN own you, legally, for the rest of your life if you are to split. Sweet deal?
Think instead about voluntary relationships.
If you are happy with that person and they are happy with you, why would you want to put a marriage on top of everything? Stay happy instead.
If there are things you don't like about that person, how is marriage going to make them better?
Either way, marriage in the end is a bad idea.
Marriage also creates laziness. "I don't have to stay fit, I have a legal contract that he can't leave me or I'll wipe him out!" Why do you need that legal contract if you actually WANT to be with that person?
If you want an LTR, go for it, there's nothing wrong with that. But when you involve the government, contracts, rings, parties, families...things start to change.
Make everything a choice. You CHOOSE to show up and be with your partner. They choose to be with you. This is far more romantic and sustainable than the legal construct of marriage.

Just so we have full info for strategy purposes, here is the data on happy wives:
"Wives who report being “very happy” with their marriages—and who are less prone to divorce— aren’t just lucky. They take certain actions and embrace certain perspectives to make their marriages the best they can be.
*Here are the top five predictors of marital happiness for married women with children in America, according to a recent study from the National Marriage Project:**
1 They have a satisfying sex life. Wives are happier in the bedroom when things are going well outside the bedroom. When a spirit of generosity and commitment prevails in their marriage, her sexual satisfaction is high.
2 They commit to their husbands. These wives take the long-term view. They are committed to watching out for their husband’s happiness—not just their own—even when financial problems, parenting challenges, and relational difficulties crop up in their marriages. They do not see divorce as the solution to ordinary marital difficulties.
3 They love generously. Happy wives show generosity to their husbands through small, steady acts of kindness, such as making him his favorite cup of coffee or sending a sweet email in the middle of the day. When they do a small act of service, they do not count the cost. Moreover, they give freely, punctuating the action with a hug or kiss.
4 They nurture a family mentality. These wives look forward to having and raising children; they embrace the task of forming them into capable, flourishing adults. To this end, they make time for their families.
5 They enjoy and pursue social support. Happy wives seek out family and friends who also take marriage seriously and who are invested in their own marriages and spouses. Couples who regularly attend a church, synagogue, or mosque are more likely to find this kind of support."

Actual data from a study of men who are happily married:
"Husbands who report being happy with their marriages— and are less prone to divorce—do certain things to make their marriages work.
*Here are five things that America’s happiest husbands with children do, according to a recent study from the National Marriage Project:**
1 They have a satisfying sex life. This depends on her being sexually satisfied. Husbands who are good lovers prepare their wives for love-making by being generous, emotionally attentive, and by spending quality time with them. In other words: Do the dishes and go on a regular date night.
2 They are committed to their wives. Wives need to feel that they come first in his life. The successful husband gives his wife the sense that he is preoccupied with her, and that their “we” is more important than his “me.” He also steers clear of romantic opportunities in the wider world.
3 They show generosity to their wives. They are full of compliments and make their wives feel appreciated. They cheerfully perform small acts of service—like giving the baby a bath or making her a cup of coffee in the morning.
4 They want to have and raise children. Life has more meaning when there are children. A father who wants children and invests himself in their upbringing makes both himself and his wife happier.
5 They practice a religious faith with their wife. The sense that God is present in one’s marriage— that marriage has a transcendent meaning—turns out to be a strong indicator of marital success. Practicing a faith together helps to actualize all the traits that make for a happier marriage, starting with generosity."

In what country are you? Please provide links to the government sources stating they mandate you be married forever. I am unaware of any government having that kind of role in marriage hence asking for the proof.
Links for your stats please.
The analogy to jumping out of a plane and the parachute failing to open does not hold for marriage because a failed marriage does not have the same consequences as a parachute failing to open. There are plenty of living able bodied divorced people while those whose parachutes failed to open, for the most part, are not as lucky.
Men and women get married for a variety of reasons and some stay married for whatever there reasons are. For those who get and stay married, there are benefits.
Decades of scientific research has yielded 30 conclusions about why marriage matters. These conclusions point to some of the benefits of marriages. Having factual information is key to strategy and for determining if in fact marriage is a bad idea. Here are the conclusions:
1 Marriage increases the likelihood that fathers and mothers have good relationships with their children.
2 Children are most likely to enjoy family stability when they are born into a married family.
3 Children are less likely to thrive in complex households.
4 Cohabitation is not the functional equivalent of marriage.
5 Growing up outside an intact marriage increases the likelihood that children will themselves divorce or become unwed parents.
6 Marriage is a virtually universal human institution.
7 Marriage, and a normative commitment to marriage, foster high-quality relationships between adults, as well as between parents and children.
8 Marriage has important biosocial consequences for adults and children.
9 Divorce and unmarried childbearing increase poverty for both children and mothers, and cohabitation is less likely to alleviate poverty than is marriage.
10 Married couples seem to build more wealth on average than singles or cohabiting couples.
11 Marriage reduces poverty and material hardship for disadvantaged women and their children.
12 Minorities benefit economically from marriage also.
13 Married men earn more money than do single men with similar education and job histories.
14 Parental divorce (or failure to marry) appears to increase children’s risk of school failure.
15 Parental divorce reduces the likelihood that children will graduate from college and achieve high-status jobs.
16 Children who live with their own two married parents enjoy better physical health, on average, than do children in other family forms.
17 Parental marriage is associated with a sharply lower risk of infant mortality.
18 Marriage is associated with reduced rates of alcohol and substance abuse for both adults and teens.
19 Married people, especially married men, have longer life expectancies than do otherwise similar singles.
20 Marriage is associated with better health and lower rates of injury, illness, and disability for both men and women.
21 Marriage seems to be associated with better health among minorities and the poor.
22 Children whose parents divorce have higher rates of psychological distress and mental illness.
23 Cohabitation is associated with higher levels of psychological problems among children.
24 Family breakdown appears to increase significantly the risk of suicide.
25 Married mothers have lower rates of depression than do single or cohabiting mothers.
26 Boys raised in non-intact families are more likely to engage in delinquent and criminal behavior.
27 Marriage appears to reduce the risk that adults will be either perpetrators or victims of crime.
28 Married women appear to have a lower risk of experiencing domestic violence than do cohabiting or dating women.
29 A child who is not living with his or her own two married parents is at greater risk of child abuse.
30 There is a growing marriage gap between college-educated Americans and less- educated Americans.

There's one in that snapshot that my dad tried to get out of my mom. She's filipina and apparently I guess it was pretty known that Filipinas would hide the fact they had kids until they got married. He said he asked her if she had any kids and he would take them in. She never did but she also didn't marry a white dude 15-30 years her senior like a lot of Filipinas did when there was a base in Manila. Good for me I guess cause now I exist woohoo.

I was thinking, is it not possible to just give her the wedding with all that bullcrap (not an expensive ring, just something that seems to be), and hire a dude to play the priest/etc. You can even fake the papers, then burn them/toss them out. Obviously, you would not tell anyone. Later if you think she's not a psycho/safe, you can sign the papers under some other kind of a lie.
Also, what in the hell with the sibling thing.

one really interesting bit with that is that there are special exceptions to the normal rule in NY which is "No more common law marriage" UNLESS you're doing a traditional jewish wedding. I'm not making this shit up
Happyhappyjoyjoy123 9y ago
Why would anyone go through all that? Just don't marry her.
Henry_Beastman 9y ago
Because of caution, feelings, hope. Anyway, you can have a surrogate mother, so I too, don't see any point in marriage.
Happyhappyjoyjoy123 9y ago
But all that effort to lie? There is no hope when you start off a "marriage" with all that deception. Just don't marry ever if that is what you think you need to do to know if she is honest. Imagine how much she will not respect you or trust when she finds out about your deception. It is like knee capping yourself before a marathon. Just don't run the race if you don't have or want endurance.
Under the scenario described, the man is behaving like a psycho woman.
Henry_Beastman 9y ago
Provided, she finds out. Other than that, as I said I don't see any point in marriage. The wedding itself could be fun though.
Happyhappyjoyjoy123 9y ago

evilquesadilla 9y ago
Which is why I think cohabitation is very important before marriage. It's more likely that people will slip up and show their true colors during cohabitation. Not fool-proof of course, but IMHO it helps.
Also that's why I believe you need overwhelming evidence/desire/reason to get married, as opposed to the cultural norm which is you have to explain why you don't want to get married.
Happyhappyjoyjoy123 9y ago
No guarantee.
I have a friend whose mom is crazy imo. She is the "perfect" woman according to whatever her target wants in a woman.
She has fleeced 6 men out of their money. She lived with every single one of them. She supposedly got the rights to some guy's patent. She also ripped off some mob dude and she had to disappear for a while.
When I met her, she oozed deceitfulness. I don't see how she got over on those dudes. Well I take that back....her body.....

I just disclosed a lot of information to my current SO whilst just talking about moving in with one another. I can understand small things that get forgotten about but it is not an excuse for non-disclosure. He knows my debt situation, how much I have in savings, how much I lack in understanding of financials (I can live comfortably on my own but lack of savings and understanding of how credit cards worked in the past have thrown me into hole.) We talked about how things would run and be shared within the home and with bills/rent/mortgages, and brought up possible future plans. None of them are certain but I don't understand why people don't disclose these things if you are becoming, basically, a single unit with marriage.
