Summary: We do not have to sit here and have a debate with Blue Pill people about whether we're right or not. Theories about what women are attracted to in men are falsifiable. All we have to do is look at real women's fantasies, and what the men look like in those fantasies.
If the Red Pill is right, then we would expect fictional men in women's romantic fantasies to look like the alpha males we claim women are attracted to.
If the Blue Pill is right, we would expect those fictional men to look like the nice, inoffensive, neutered Redditer who gets so angry at us for saying such mean things about women.
Guess who the heroes in romance novels all look like?
Body:
If someone told you that men aren't attracted to blowjobs, what would you tell them?
Maybe you'd tell them that they're crazy, or that they're stupid. But how would you prove men actually do like blowjobs? They could just sit there insisting it's not true. "My friends say they don't like it! They think it's gross!" They could develop a whole ideology around how offensive it was to ever say that a man would like something so disgusting.
But you can, in fact, prove them wrong. Why? Because basically every single porno ever has a blowjob in it. If men didn't like blowjobs, that wouldn't be the subject matter of so much porn.
That brings us to women, and what they want. It's not some mystery. It's not even hidden very hard. If you want to know what women really want, you don't have to trust this subreddit. You don't have to trust anyone. All you have to do is go look at what women buy, in the form of best-selling romance novels.
Every romance novel is essentially a woman's fantasy about what kind of man she wants to fall in love with. You can find every single type of man you could imagine somewhere in some romance novel. Alphas, betas, chubby blue pill neckbeards, whoever. Someone has written it.
But what actually sells? Let's look at a few of the best sellers, because they are all variations on the same theme.
Pride and Prejudice - Women love this one. It's about a rich guy named Mr. Darcy who starts out acting like a total asshole. He tells the heroine she is unattractive and refuses to dance with her at a ball. He acts like he's above everyone in her town. He convinces his friend to dump her sister because he thinks they have a terrible family. He's rich and lives in a giant mansion. His enemies are telling the heroine what an asshole he is all the time.
Mr. Darcy is a "reformed rake," a common trope in romance novels. He starts out being an asshole, but he gradually learns to be nice to the heroine, goes out of his way to make up for his douchebag behavior, and they live happily ever after in his giant mansion.
The Flame and the Flower - This was the first big modern romance novel. It sold millions of copies. It was written by a women, and women are the ones who bought it. What's the plot?
A cinderalla-type innocent woman is treated badly by her family and ends up on the street. An alpha male sea captain sends out some of his deckhands to find him a hooker. They find her wandering the streets, think she's a whore, and bring her to his ship.
Then he rapes her. Then he rapes her again. And again. And he laughs about it.
She gets pregnant, and they have a shotgun wedding. So he rapes her some more, and treats her like total shit because she ruined his wedding plans with another woman. But every time she submits to him and does what he says, he stops raping her for a few minutes and does something nice for her (like not raping her anymore that night). Even though he likes raping her, he's very protective of her, and very jealous of other men.
Again, this was written by a woman, and sold millions and millions of copies to other women. Please note that many women understandably didn't like the book, for obvious reasons, and that you shouldn't try to emulate this guy. But also please note that you can be this big of a dick, and millions of women will still find it sexually attractive.
Twilight - A girl and an alpha male vampire fall in love. He is insanely protective of her to the point of being a stalker. He sneaks into her bedroom to watch her sleep. He struggles to control himself, and it is constantly emphasized that at any moment he could snap and violently murder her. When they have sex, she is left with bruises all over her because he is so strong that he has to struggle not to kill her when he even touches her. He is tall, handsome, and has billions of dollars. He buys the heroine really expensive cars, because he's concerned about her safety and wants to protect her.
Then he leaves for awhile, and she starts hanging out with a werewolf. He is insanely protective of her. Werewolves cannot control their rage, and it is constantly emphasized that at any moment he might snap, lose control, and kill her. There are repeated scenes with a girlfriend of another werewolf whose face has been mauled by her boyfriend, emphasizing the danger. He is extremely tall, muscular, and is the rightful alpha male of his werewolf pack. He is jealous of the vampire, and they fight, but eventually she picks the vampire, and the werewolf hangs around and decides to be insanely protective of her daughter instead.
A beta male named Mike Newton falls in love with her. He has no negative qualities other than that he is an average looking guy who fell in love with an average looking girl. The beta male is constantly put down by the werewolf and the vampire. The heroine tricks the beta male into a double date with the werewolf, where he vomits at a horror movie because he is sick. The werewolf makes fun of him for being afraid of the movie, and then makes out with the heroine in the car right next to the beta male. Twilight fans really seem to hate this guy, for no real reason other than that he is a beta male. The author also seemed to really, really love having her characters treat him like crap.
Fifty Shades of Grey - A tall alpha male billionaire can play the piano like an expert, runs his own company in his mid-twenties, and flies helicopters everywhere. He likes to tie women up and order them around, making them his submissives. He meets the heroine, then starts sending her gifts and randomly bumping into her. He buys the heroine cars because he's concerned about her safety and wants to protect her. He is emotionally damaged, unavailable, and only able to have sex, not commitment. He constantly orders the heroine around, and wants to control exactly what she eats and what she does basically the time. He is incredibly jealous and lashes out at other men who try to date the heroine. But underneath he has a heart of gold and learns to be nice, warm, and caring.
Lessons Learned:
(1) Women love alpha males. They also love heroes who start out as complete assholes, and end up showing a caring, protective side.
(2) Women want it all. They want alpha fucks and beta bucks in one man. They want to tame the alpha, and make him still an alpha to everyone else, but a caring, protective beta for her.
(3) Women love dangerous men.
(4) Women love tall, rich men.
(5) Blue Pillers are misogynists who hate women and their sexual fantasies. Hi guys, I know you're reading. I know you don't like it. But it's true. The reason you hate the Red Pill so much is because you hate women. You can't stand that they are what they are, and you can't accept it. You have bigotry in your heart towards certain women's sexual preferences (women who like alpha males as described in their own romance novels). And you can't stand us for telling the truth about what most women want. Blue pillers are bigots, just as much as any angry guy who's just joined this sub and starts ranting about how evil women are. That's why Blue pillers project so much. They call us misogynists because that's what they themselves are, and they can't accept it.
After all, what would you call someone who hated homosexuality so much they denied it even existed? And yet you hate the idea of women loving alpha males so much that you spend all your time attacking the sexual preference of the vast majority of women.
(6) You should read a few romance novels, especially if you still have any doubts. You will see exactly what women want, from the mouths of women. You don't have to trust me, and you don't have to trust anyone else on here. The truth is right in front of you, you've just never bothered to look at it.
AragornRF 8y ago
Blue Pillers call us misogynists because that's what they themselves are, and they can't accept it.
There it is..
tolerantman 8y ago
What they all have in common:
1.Good looks 2.Power: physical strength or social influence 3.Obsession with the female protagonist to the point of losing control
TRPApprentice 8y ago
Yeah in these fucking books the bitch usually isn't interested in the guy until he's full on alpha, but then they expect the bad boy to settle down. Of course the author grant the hamsters their little wish fulfillment and by the end of the book the free spirited psycho is the perfect little domesticated cuck
bytesunfish 8y ago
You forgot that the only way to be safe is if you're gifted a really expensive car.
I've heard that whole safety excuse from broke women refusing to sell their new-ish Mercedes/Lexus/BMW/etc. to get a used Honda to save money. They usually say something like, "I just wouldn't feel safe putting my kids in something like that."
[deleted] 8y ago
My friend's Ex use to say "thanks for the Lexus payment" every time his child support payment was deposited into her account.
pookwanka 8y ago
Beauty an the Beast. You can literally be another species and still desirable if you're rich, protective, dangerous.
jmg83 8y ago
That's what bugged me about that. The Beast couldn't just be a regular dude, he had to be a fucking prince.
ElGuapoMiguel 8y ago
You are so right. I just posted an ad on CL using the themes above. Up vote.
Lol, wonder what kind of responses I will get? I bet staunch, angry, and unhappy feminists types.
BlackJ1 8y ago
You will find RP in almost any top selling book that women buy. It's not recent, it's been around forever and some authors are catching on and taking advantage.
Just look at The Glass Menagerie. Published back in 1945:
It's boring low SMV woman somehow grabs the attention of a high SMV man by doing nothing. Like it's the same script over and over again.
allnamesfckintaken 8y ago
that flames and flowers story is what makes women wet. it's not really ltr material. it all goes back to evolution. a guy who is an asshole for a long time is one who gets away with it. that means he gets what he wants and does what he wants. wouldn't you want your offspring to have that ability too? all the women who were not turned on by those qualities had offsprings who couldn't even compete and couldn't pass on his genes at all. a man's evolutionary desire is to spread his genes as much as possible and a woman's evolutionary desire is to get the genes of a man who is capable of spreading his genes. from that standpoint, nothing men or women do is surprising at all.
DailyManliness 8y ago
I've actually been writing an article about this but mine mentioned quite a few more examples including the all time favorite romance novel/movie, The Notebook. I've actually read through a chunk of these 100+ comments and haven't seen it mentioned from what I can tell. Spoiler alert: she has a choice between the rugged alpha male or rich pretty boy that treats her with the doggoneit southern respect she deserves. Guess who she picks? Plus, at the beginning of the movie, the main character is extremely young and while "somewhat beta" he doesn't follow social conventions and even rips on her family and rigid life
Clint_Redwood 8y ago
I'll just throw this one in.
Khal Drogo - Game of thrones
That dudes career was made of speaking a language no one knows and being dominant as fuck. His entire act was body language. His entire screen time was a total of like 30 minutes. And every chick falls in love with him and he's now landed a main DC movie staring as fucking Aquaman.
What did he do? Rape her, make her his property, abuse her, but then he turned protective and loving of her. Made her his world. He was a King of a 100,000 men army that gave no fucks and could have any chick but he chose her.
Essentially a love story staring Genghis Khan.
This shit really isn't rocket science.
night-addict 8y ago
That show made Jason Momoa a fucking sex symbol. Jason Momoa. Dude looks like a Neanderthal! But women fall head over heels for him now, and rightfully so, because as Khal Drogo he was what women desperately wanted.
Donuteater780 8y ago
So that's why people like Roman Reigns!
bluedrygrass 8y ago
Yes, and that's a plus in spite of what some of them may say
GiantBonobo 8y ago
"That dude" didn't just have 30 minutes in Game of Thrones, he also played one of Stargate Atlantis' central characters and is overall a pretty good actor. GoT is just the series that put him back on track.
NO_LAH_WHERE_GOT 8y ago
Jason Momoa? He was also in Baywatch, amusingly. He was a little less swole then.

Wasn't there a huge puke party on the internet about Sansa's wedding night to Ramsey Bolton and Ramsay proceeds to roughly consummate their marriage. Everyone was screaming that she was raped and some suggested boycotts of the show for misogyny?
Some commenters pointed out that good ole Khal did the exact same thing. The answers were some of the finest hamstring I have ever read. That poor hamster died from exhaustion. Basically, if it's a hulking hawt barbarian, it's being ravished. If it's a twisted weirdo, it's rape.
The actor even posted a pic of him and Sansa smiling and being silly on twitter to ward off the crazies.
[deleted] 8y ago
Back when that happened a bunch of girls I knew actually started finding the actor attractive and looking at pictures of him and shit.
jmg83 8y ago
The thing is, by the standards of that world, and the real-world time period that it roughly coincides with, What Ramsay did wasn't rape. He did what was considered his right as a husband.
CQC3 8y ago
Pretty much. Absolutely historically congruous.
The problem with the state of criticism in the past few decades is that we've had a poor tendency to apply modern critical lenses (postcolonial, marxist (this is of course a bit older), feminist (this is the worst for reasons besides TRP), etc).
Academia is an interesting place, but when you have kids writing theses on feminist or gender/queer readings of X novel written in 1850 or some shit, gtfo of here you dumb fucks. No shit women are treated differently in those novels.
Super interesting stuff though. Basically our postmodern world has weakened our sense of history in a lot of ways so people just one way or another have a shit propensity to understand that not only were things different hundreds of years ago, but surprise surprise, nobody gave a fuck about it or thought about it in the manner that you do right now. In fact, the modern mindset would have been heinously impractical.
jmg83 8y ago
Yeah. I might not necessarily agree with how things were back in the day, but they were what they were. In regards to how women are treated in Game of Thrones, someone once tried to say that Cersei was treated unfairly. Within the context of the book, though, she has an easy life. Hell, she has an easy life compared to many people in 21st Century earth, and she essentially lives in medieval Europe. She's never done a day's work, or presumably, had to cook a meal for herself. So she was forced into an arranged marriage. So are plenty of people today.
datAlpha 8y ago
YES! Never could put into words why this shit with Khal Drogo bothered me so much. I think it's also the go-to halloween costume for the silent boring jacked dude at the party. They still clean up even without saying anything. Beauty and the Beast, a fucking DISNEY movie based on this premise (watered down a bit of course) and it's hailed as a "tail as old as time". In this film however there is also an interesting counterpoint in Gaston, the sort of "fake Alpha" (?). Why does she NOT go for him?
ApronString 8y ago
Gaston had those village slatterns drooling and panting over him, and instead of enjoying the abundance around him, he got a world class case of oneitis for the only girl in the whole village who was not interested. He was so desperate to wife her that he lost any semblance of credibility with her.
DrinkYourBleach 8y ago
Because he fucked with her father.
ToSeeAndToHear 8y ago
It's because Gaston can't read, and Belle won't date down.
Belle falls for the Beast when he shows her that he's not just a hairy monster that could eat her alive, he also has a huge library.
99639 8y ago
Yup. Sorry to break it to you lads, but no matter how strong and popular and handsome you may be, most women won't consider you suitable unless you're also at least as educated as they are.

[deleted] 8y ago
Because Beauty and the Beast isn't about women's romance, it's a kids movie in which the writers are attempting to instill what they deem to be "positive values" onto the audience. Game of Thrones is a pretty raw series that is definitely catering to adults.
JihadDerp 8y ago
Are you kidding? It's about a beast who turns into a prince. There is no more perfect parallel.
NO_LAH_WHERE_GOT 8y ago
Also, the Disney version is, well, Disney-fied. The 'original' story dates back over 4,000 years, and it's a tale about social class, family, etc etc.

Also note how she friendzones Ser Jorah Mormont - a true White Knight lolz And not to mention her love for badboy Daario Naharis
jmg83 8y ago
Jorah Mormont was a fool. He was in love with a woman young enough to be his daughter who wasn't interested in him, and in the first place, he got into trouble breaking the law because he couldn't control his wife's spending habits. He's a badass fighter, I won't take that from him, but he's a pussy where women are concerned.
[deleted] 8y ago
Forget controlling his wife's spending habits, what really did him in was ONEitis. He was so smitten by his wife's beauty that she became his aim in life.
In the books, he actually clumsily forces himself on Dany. Only kissing, nothing more. That leaves a bitter taste in her mouth (pun unintended)
jmg83 8y ago
I appreciate a beautiful woman as much as the next straight guy, but that's just silly.
Come to think of it, how many other guys ruined their own lives or did stupid things because they were obsessed with a woman in this series? Rhaegar was so obsessed with Lyanna that he caused a war, and paid for it with his life, not to mention those of his wife and child(ren). If Robb Stark hadn't fallen in love with Jeyne and married her, he and his mother would probably still be alive, as would most of his guys, and his uncle wouldn't be a prisoner. Even Stannis Baratheon, one of my favourite characters, was prepared to kill his own nephew on the Red Bitch's sayso. Granted, Stannis didn't love her, but he was still prepared to sacrifice a boy who is the closest thing to a son he has, just because of a woman.
[deleted] 8y ago
As Nietzsche said, raise men better or something to that effect.
Glad to see someone else who is also a fan of Stannis. I disagree about your assertion regarding him though. He was prepared to take such extreme measures because he is a wronged man. He had seen his parents drown right in front of him at a very young age. During the rebellion, he chose his brother over his rightful King, as he himself laments in the books, held Storm's End even when his men and he were down to eating rats. And what was the reward he got for doing so? He was given Dragonstone while Storm's End, which should have been his by rights, was given to his younger brother. As a result, he was a very just but bitter man who saw the world as having wronged him and for that he was prepared to do anything.
jmg83 8y ago
Yeah, he had it tough. I believe he has a genuine gripe regarding Storm's End. I even think it's admirable that he sought to be king to avenge the brother who treated him badly. Killing a kid, though? That's when it starts to get a bit iffy for me.
[deleted] 8y ago
Thanks to good ol' Davos, Edric's blood isn't on Stannis' hands. I doubt the post-Blackwater Bay Stannis would do such a thing now. D&D have completely perverted his character on the show sadly.
jmg83 8y ago
I think the actor wanted out, personally.
[deleted] 8y ago
What's done is done. Hopefully, GRRM won't kick the bucket until he finishes the series.

[deleted] 8y ago
Just to be fair, Khal Drogo explicitly refused to sleep with her until she actually wanted him to.
[deleted] 8y ago
In the book, but not in the series. He was way rougher in the series, towards her.
FascistWorldNewsMods 8y ago
Wot?
In the series, he fucked her while she was crying on their wedding night. Later, we see him doing her, and she is clearly not enjoying it.
In the books, he's still very aggressive from what I remember, but it's not rape because she eventually obliges because she knows she has no choice. She still doesn't enjoy it in the beginning.
[deleted]
wiseprogressivethink 8y ago
Hell, don't even bother to read any romance novel, just look at the fucking cover art. It's always some tall muscular guy with an IDGAF look on his face, and there's usually a hint of danger or violence implied.
ddiogenesofsinope 8y ago
Pride and Prejudice is the biggest fuckery for me.
I actually love the 2005 adaptation. It's great. igaf. Fuck you cunt.
I do give Elizabeth ratings as she's is the only one to see through Darcys bullshit, call him out and see that he's a man with a lot of love but is an asshole out of fear (sound familiar).
But part of Elizabeth's infatuation with him comes with his immense wealth and this isn't really hinted at in the story. He's essentially a contemporary billionaire.
Sure love conquers all in a society obsessed with wealth and all that jazz, but when she goes to his house when she thinks he's away and literally falls in love with a statue of him in his elaborate collection, money obviously does play some sort of role in that.
She is in awe at the power of a great man. And maybe just maybe, she likes the idea of having all that to herself.
arealbigboss 8y ago
Pride and Prejudice is all about why people hook up. The writer, Jane Austen, never got married and she knew how shit really worked. Elizabeth pretty much sought out the best qualities in Darcy and saw only those in order to marry a rich man. She did it because she deep down wanted his wealth more than anything. Those Victorian bitches knew what was up.
ddiogenesofsinope 8y ago
They really did.
I feel people were way more honest about human nature back then
jmg83 8y ago
On the other hand, they were way too concerned about a person's "breeding". It's been years since I picked up that book, but I recall something about a rich person who was looked down upon in "Society" because they were self-made rather than inheriting from their daddy. Plus the conversations were ridiculously difficult to follow.

I remember when i was about 10,11,12. My source of porn was from my mom's romantic novels i'd take from her room.
[deleted] 8y ago
Romance novels are reflective of what really want but fail to admit they want it and act like they really will love the beta instead of the alpha. These romance novels OP talked about show that women want the alpha and deep down they hate the betas.
[deleted]
DailyManliness 8y ago
Less of wherever this is from, and more Black Sails from Starz, that show is about as alpha as it comes
getbackdownhere 8y ago
You skipped the time period of romance novels before twilight came out, but I'll summarize it here:
Basically, right up until the 90's, when PCness was beginning to take over, romance novels were basically just literary rape porn.
Google "bodice ripper" and you'll see what I mean.
Honestly I think 50 Shades was so popular because it was the first good-n-rapey book to come out in 20 years.

"He pinned me down and ravished me with his strong muscular arms...he couldn't hold his desire back"
Shit like that. Women are turned on by big powerful alpha men who can't help themselves from fucking them.
JihadDerp 8y ago
Women are aroused by these things, in this order: status, strength, being desired. Strength and status are almost interchangeable, but really should go together. Basically, if you're physically strong and socially strong, she wants you to let go of all inhibitions and fuck her stoopid.
[deleted] 8y ago
BP men would rather pedal their illusions than accept reality. It's much easier to stay in your shell, fantasize, and curse the outside world, than it is to actually take the risk, step outside your shell and compete in the real world.
At the end of the day, BP men just don't want to change. They don't want to compete. They don't want to be honest with themselves and say they have been sold a lie, by women who would rather have them "be themselves" and corporations that want to milk their fantasies.
Women will do, what women do, and no amount of policy, religion, morals, or ideological non-sense will stop their innate biological drives.
"Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding... It is the bitter potion by which the physician within you heals your sick self. Therefore, trust the physician and drink his remedy in silence and tranquility..." - Kahlil Gibran

That women consume time, just like a job, sidetracking you from the mission
And that men become dumber in their presence (scientifically proven later, we seem to dumb ourselves down to their level)

The same goes for romance movies. I have an older female relative who watches the Hallmark Channel all the time. All the movies on there have the same basic plot: plucky, overeducated late-20's/early 30's heroine moves to the city/country after some dramatic event and meets local alpha hunk. Sparks fly, and after much unnecessary drama and attempts at humor, she eventually tames the hunk just enough so they can settle down and live happily ever after.

Once Upon In Time West played flawlessly by Charles Bronson -- Harmonica.
He treats the Blonde Bonny Lass like shit, who happens to be the heroine of the film. The woman ends up wanting to marry the male protagonist in the end, but she couldn't because Harmonica is too busy seeking his own adventure.

When I was young I used to pick up some of these books after my mother finished them. By the time I got to the third book I realized they were all effectively the same.
It's literally just AF/BB. Girl fucks a slave-trading pirate, marries a northern army captain. Sometimes the story arch is converting AF into BB, sometimes the AF and BB compete for her affections.

There's a few guys who self-publish the stuff. I recall one male author saying he thought his novels were complete trash, but his wife loved them, they were easy to write and he was making bank. His other comment was that he would never publish under his actual name in case he ever wanted to write a serious novel.
kazaul 8y ago
The issue is they're too easy to write. All I have to do is bang out a billion and one versions of the same 6-7 most perverted fantasies I can think of. Could have two done a month if I wanted to.
But that's not what I want to invest my time or effort in. It doesn't further my interests in any way.
facetothedawn 8y ago
I've had a lot of bad experiences with women and really what it comes down to is patience. Yes I know it's terrible and today seems like forever but there is an ebb and flow to everything. Work really hard to build a better YOU then the better women will follow.
When I became single after a while I set up rules, rules I thought would be for an impossible to find woman, but I stuck to my guns and you know what? I've had some amazing relationships. Set up your own rules but here are a couple of mine.
The bag rule: Women with fancy bags are usually trouble. It's a fair stereotype to say that many women love money because society has made them materialistic. Find a woman with a regular, utilitarian bag and that's a good head start to finding a good woman.
TheDonald2k16 8y ago
Not just romance novels, but television shows made for women as well.
Gilmore Girls is a great example.
Both main characters pick alphas over betas.
Lorelai is a post wall single mother who has men fighting over her(of course). Toward the end of the series, you have her ex-boyfriend Christopher(Rory's father) who is your typical "I am there for you" caring beta, and Luke, the "I give zero fucks about everything" blue collar alpha. Lorelai picks Luke, even though Christopher proposes to her and Lorelai's answer is "I want to love you, you are the one I want to choose, but I can't", translation = You don't give me tingles even though you are a nice guy who would be a great provider.
Rory has a friend that is orbiting her named Marty, your typical weak beta. They are watching a movie in her dorm when alpha Logan shows up and invites them out to a bar. They go to the bar where Logan exerts his alpha dominance over Marty. They get back to Rory's dorm and Marty asks out Rory. Rory says "I don't like you, I like Logan, but I want to be friends!" despite Marty being the caring, nice, sweet beta and Logan being your stereotypical douche bag frat boy alpha type. Rory ends up dating Logan for the rest of the series. Earlier in the series, Rory cheated on Dean, an alpha who ended up turning beta because of his oneitis, for Jess, a total give-no-fucks alpha who was a criminal.
You want to learn Red Pill Truths, watch Gilmore Girls.
Leonard_Church 8y ago
The whole premise of Two and a half men is redpill summed up as well.
The wealthy playboy who gives no fucks about anything sleeps with a different attractive woman every night. His brother is awkward and still desperately seeks the attention of his ex-wife who left him.

TheDonald2k16 8y ago
I think both Chris and Luke were betas, but Luke was more alpha compared to Chris. Luke had a "I don't give a fuck" attitude, while Chris was a lot more soft.
Even though Luke pinned after Lorelai the whole series, he wasn't afraid to speak his mind around her. Many times he was a dick to Lorelai because he didn't want to put up with her shit. Chris never did that.
In terms of the men Lorelai dated, Max was a beta, Digger was an alpha, Luke and Chris were betas.
graffix13 8y ago
Dawson's Creek is another example.
Dawson, the poster boy blue piller, finally expresses his love for Joey (Katie Holmes) only to have her hook up with Dawson's Alpha friend Pacey.
(Although calling Pacey Alpha is kind of a stretch as he was a pussy too)
[deleted] 8y ago
Dude banged his teacher. Alpha as fuck.
[deleted] 8y ago
Pacey was a confident, sarcastic dude in the first few seasons. Funny, emotionally unattached. My favorite scene was when he took his girlfriend's mom (who was dementia) to the store. When she started having an episode and drawing people's attention, Pacey intentionally started acting crazy to take the heat off her.
I don't think you'd find that sort of altruism with a beta like Dawson. He's too preoccupied with his image to take control of a situation and protect another person. It's always mopey bullshit with him.
bluedrygrass 8y ago
Or don't. Unless you want a headache by extreme logorroicness and trivial discussions.
But anyway, that example is particularly poignant because the girl looks like the stereotypical blue imaginary angel: delicate, feminine, petite, shy, extremely intelligent and educated.
And yet, she acts like she acts.
TheDonald2k16 8y ago
Rory presents herself as the good sweet innocent girl the whole series but turns into a whore after her freshman year of college, fucking a married man, fucking Logan in her grandparent's pool house, getting arrested for stealing a boat.

I would hope that there would be another way. /grin

My question is how you all know all this damn
TheDonald2k16 8y ago
I am a professional TV critic, I had to watch all 7 Gilmore Girls seasons ahead of the Gilmore Girls Netflix reboot.
LyricBaritone 8y ago
clearly because they watched the show. I don't watch it myself but there's no need to be a dick about it.
carrotplanter 8y ago
But I'm not? I'm sure I wasn't the only one thinking it, and I didn't mean it in a demeaning way
LyricBaritone 8y ago
Well then at best, you're asking an extremely stupid, obvious question. Of course they know those things because they've watched the show.
TheeRyanGrey 8y ago
Romance Novels? My dude let's get real and deep here, let's go to the ultimate romance novel---The Bible:
God is ALWAYS a Man to women. Always. Religious girls love him because he provides boundaries and punishment and support and value and someone to blame. He's literally a father.
It's why, even though I'm vehemently anti-thiest, I only date women who are somewhat religious: they already know how to act around men.
mitzibishi 8y ago
The men are always exceptional, the women plain & boring. Do nothing are nothing without the man.
NuclearTruthBomb 8y ago
I wish I could upvote this more. Seeing what women read, not what they say, is what ultimately made me realize the pill is NOT misogynistic bullshit. If you're still on the fence, you really need to go to the Erotica or Erotic Romance section of Goodreads or Amazon and read the descriptions.
There is only one type of man in all of these hundreds of stories. He's arrogant, jacked, knows what he wants and takes it for himself. If he's not a bad boy biker, he's a high-status billionaire. Even romance readerss describe these characters as Alphas (seriously!). The female character is completely average, and frequently has an orbiter or two pinning for her companionship. But the self-described asshole sweeps her off her feet and gives her the hardest fucking of her life.
Notice anything absent? Betas. Not even masculine, but effective and kind-hearted men. Just full-blown, testosterone-pumping Alphas. If he doesn't have the social status of a celebrity, then he's aggressive enough to take down an entire gang or Comic Con meeting.
Men are actually the real romantic sex. I have yet to see a female written romance story that isn't about pinning for a Norse-like protector or a meal ticket for a perfect life. There is no such thing as "type" for women, only men with power and resources. She doesn't love you - AWALT. Either go your own way or become the most stereotypically masculine, successful man as possible.
[deleted] 8y ago
It has nothing to do with who you are. Some girls like bikers, some like guys with tats, artsy types, intellectuals, businessmen, military guys, juiced up bros, etc... That's just preference. It's just whatever type of guy her social circle regards as alpha. At the end of the day she's looking for certain types of traits in a guy who fits her preference, but while the preference changes from girl to girl, those traits don't. That's why you can be your own brand of alpha.
I know cute nerdy girls at med school who would run the other way if a tatted up guy on gear came up to them, even if he cleans up with typical sluts. Yeah that does not mean they prefer betas. It just means that guy doesn't look like the stereotypical dream guy in her social circle, so he seems more threatening than attractive. She wants a guy with the same traits but in a package that fits her world's view of alpha. It's why I do so well with the nerdy girls. The average IQ of girls I've fucked is probably in the 95th percentile, because that's just where I do best. That's my brand of alpha, but make no mistake, I'm an attractive guy who lifts and tracks his macros to a T. I'm socially dominant and quick to discard any girl I'm with if something better comes along (and not just hotter women, my friends and career are prioritized over women as well). I'm not the tatted up roid guy, but I've got plenty of friends like him.
Too many bluepill guys see "nice" girls going for a guy like me and think betas don't finish last. They just never understood that the difference between "alpha" and "beta" has nothing to do with your "type" and everything to do with what you objectively have (status, looks, money) and more importantly, how you carry yourself.
[deleted] 8y ago
After reading this I thought to myself "Fuck it, I'm going my own way"
Turkerthelurker 8y ago
The OC:
Alpha bad boy moves into town. Girl with douchebag boyfriend falls in love with new bad boy.
I was going to write more examples, but I think this thought expirement is better: Try to think of a show/movie/novel, targeted at women, where the beta wins the woman (without her falling for/obsessing over/fucking an alpha first). I can think of plenty targeted towards men, but try to name one aimed at women. Betcha can't.

[deleted] 8y ago
Just look at the cover photos on all these romance novels.
mitzibishi 8y ago
I skimmed the descriptions, all the males are rich, tycoons, successful etc
[deleted] 8y ago
Women aren't capable of love. She doesn't love you. Be the alpha that fucks her, plates her, or discards her afterwards. Shell hate that she loves it.
[deleted]
Egoful 8y ago
Women do love. But like Rollo says, it's opportunistic love.
[deleted] 8y ago
I disagree. TRP says women love conditionally, I push it even further and say they can't truly love besides their offspring.
bluedrygrass 8y ago
That's opportunistic too. And not in the "they're my children" sense, but really in the "they are my retirement plan and my emotional tampons" sense
[deleted] 8y ago
Yup. They're completely selfish. I don't know why we'd expect anything more from the inferior rreproductive gender though. I know my mother cares for me, I'm just not sure if its cause I'm her son or because I'm her only chance at carrying her genes on to the next generation. Or cause I'm her retirement plan, etc.
BigDongofDoom 8y ago
You don't have children do you?
bluedrygrass 8y ago
I am a male. I am able to give unconditional love.

What a fucking age were heading into. Where women don't love their children, and abortion is universal. While there are exceptions, most American women are not fit to be mothers. The west is fucked.
[deleted] 8y ago
US alone has seen around 60 million abortions in the last four decades. Yeah, the West's fucked
[deleted] 8y ago
How long you think until The US collapses?
I give it a good 40-50 years. I really dont see any fixing it currently. Maybe we could rebuild after the country crumbles, but by then we'll either be wartorn or invaded by islam. Enjoy the decline, fellas.
Rougepellet 8y ago
We should all write romace novels and make bank. We have the formula right here. It'd be funnywhen people eventually find out some best selling romance novels were written by redpill misogynistic shitlords.
assknucksjr 8y ago
Fun Fact: 50 Shades originally started out as a fanfiction of Twilight called Master of the Universe
VasiliyZaitzev 8y ago
No romance novel begins with: "I say 'NO!' and he stopped."
EdwardTivrusky 8y ago
It reminded me of a quote from The Catcher in the Rye.
"The thing is, most of the time when you're coming pretty close to doing it with a girl – a girl that isn't a prostitute or anything, I mean – she keeps telling you to stop. The trouble with me is, I stop. Most guys don't."
Bear in mind that authors speak their mind through the mouths of their characters. Protagonist in this book is portrayed as a typical beta that hates everything and everyone. Make no mistake betas do see all these contradictions in a same way that fat chicks see that they're fat. They just choose to ignore the problem with sweet lies on top because it's easier.
DforDeadpool 8y ago
Also no romance novel starts with "Can I kiss/touch you?". Referring to "consent for bros" bullcrap.
thejesusfish 8y ago
I trembled with anticipation. "No," I said, hoping to delay his inevitable entry. "Please, I can't."
"Of course," Blue murmured softly. "Your boundaries are your sanctuary. We shall wait until you are ready."
Despite my immutable ironclad womanly will, I came. His respect for me was simply too much to overcome.

Mik3ze 8y ago
There is a difference between fantasy and reality. In the real world if a woman if firmly saying "NO!" then you should stop.
JourneymanTRP 8y ago
It would be that way in books too if it's a legal book.
VasiliyZaitzev 8y ago
Tip of the fedora to you, son. Are you worried about someone researching your post history or something?
Yes, quite correct, however, the current "Accepted Narrative" about sexual politics is fantasy as well. Thus, while Ezra Klein^1 wants you to feel a "spike of fear" when you're undressing a girl, the greater reality is that a lot of LMR is just for show - under a strict definition it's all for show, but one imagines a situation where a man might take genuine resistance for LMR.
Politically Incorrect Statement of the Day: "No" very often means "keep going", and, at the moment where she is letting you remove her panties, it means "Don't give up now!"
While the "Accepted Narrative" demands that a man summon at Uber for the woman at the very first moment he senses a "psychic vibration" of a "no" or even a hint of reluctance, that's not how men and women relate on a sexual level. It will leave a lot of guys with blue balls and a lot of women wondering why they didn't get fucked, especially after they let a guy buy them drinks and the take her back to his room for the express purpose of...getting fucked.
Guys who understand the difference between "no means no" and LMR are going to be much happier, and have much happier - and well-fucked - girlfriends/plates/LTRS.
VZ
^1 Klein is to sex as Tim Wise is to race: a horrific fraud. Even the Atlantic described Klein's views, which are deeply, deeply blue bluepill and anti-male, as "Appalling".
[deleted] 8y ago
Women get aroused and orgasm from telling you no and you pressing right ahead and taking what you want from them anyway. Plus it gives them the plausible deniability they desire in case a beta finds out about the sex. She can tell him that she said no so everything is really that bad man's fault.
Two years ago had this great plate who had a fiance. (They were saving sex for marriage). She gave him a drunken blowjob once though, lol. Anyway to him I was his fiances good friend who stayed up all night drinking brandy and watching Netflix with her in my room. When he found out I was fucking her one day she told him that she said no but I didn't listen. Rape! So of course he forgave her and the fat short engineering student left me a threat on Facebook.
His fiance kept coming over to get drunk and tied up and fucked like the slut she was though. She just hid it better. And she loved to struggle. They got married last year. I wonder if that guy will ever know what boundless rape fantasies that raging slut he married really has? Or why she doesn't like to have sex with him?
Oh well they can get divorced in five or ten years.
Mik3ze 8y ago
I agree with everything you say I just know that a lot of young guys read this subreddit who don't have the experience to differentiate between a real "no" and an lmr "no" so I don't want them to get the wrong impression.
dusky98 8y ago
So true, I dare you all to go to this website and read the descriptions of the various romance novels. Pretty much every single one describes some ruthless and untameable CEO or future king who is wooed by some average plain jane, like his secretary or maid.

I think it's funny how women take shit way to the extreme. Their fantasies are up in the stratosphere. Everything is taken to the next level- be it sex or power.
Guys don't have such powerful fantasies, their much more grounded in reality. I think this is a reflection of how both sexes view and go through life.
The danger comes when women become so entitled they want to pursue all these fantasies. It's simply not a viable way to go in real life. It's like a guy that dreams about being superman, it's the male ideal taken to the absolute extreme.
Something tells me housewife's of the early 50's didn't have such intense fantasies. To make a comparison: Goody ol' Sally would dream about having to cocks at once in secret. Whilst Teenage Tiffany already looks at 5+ dicks gangbang porn.
Women are like water, create a big enough storm and you'll get 500 meter tall Armageddon waves that obliterates everything. There's no limit to their emotion because it's not grounded in reality.
Society's become so infatuated with the pursue of powerful emotions (drugs, sex, power, wealth, excitement) that the foundations of reality created by previous generations of men crumbles- irreversibly. It's sad really.

When I was in high school I used to stay at my Grandma's house after school until my mom got off work to pick me up since there was no bus routes to my home (before I turned 16 and could drive myself).
Sometimes she wouldn't be there and there would be these old ass fantasy romance novels from the late 80's and 90's on an old dusty bookshelf. One time I was hella bored and picked one up and flipped to somewhere in the middle and read the first paragraph of a random page. Holy shit was it graphic. I had been watching porn and beating my 15 year old dick for a little bit by this point, but that shit was a whole new level. Basically every "love" scene in the book was her getting her pussy stretched out by some evil rough man who didn't;t give a fuck. There was at least two rape scenes I found in the 10-15 mins I flipped through it.

There's a great book out there - an anthology of essays - by various authors of romance novels. They describe how they develop their characters, what attributes, characteristics, etc., that they give them.
Romance novels comprise over one half of all books sold in the US; move romance novels are sold than all other books COMBINED.
The name of the aforementioned anthology is called Dangerous Men, Adventurous Women.

Okay. And is there a man out there who doesn't want the woman he's actually dating to do the same thing the porn stars do in the bedroom?
You just don't want to date a woman who's addicted to coke and sleeps with lots of other men. It doesn't mean you aren't turned on by the things you watch in a porn video.

Back a year ago I was emailing back and forth with a younger woman on OkCupid. She's a writer and has published a bunch of short stories, plus some books. While she wasn't into writing about erotic lit, she went to various conventions, etc...and she confirmed that women are into some weird shit. We all know the vampire thing from Twilight, but there's also werewolves, dinosaurs and other stuff she mentioned. I've never read any of that (trash) and don't intend to, but it could give some insight into what depravity women are seeking.
Oh, I asked her flat out if the weird stuff was about women having sex with vampires, werewolves, dinosaurs, etc...and she confirmed it was. WTF?!
bluedrygrass 8y ago
It all comes down to feelz, ultimately. Weridest stuff= strongest feelz, as long as you aren't too weirded out. Women are more secretly inclined than men to push something to eleven.
Horus_Krishna_2 8y ago
Yep this is what women want and I love them for it!
devilabit 8y ago
Yer obsessed with women's novels in here. How about this for a left field thought. Stroll down town and look at real people shopping. Look at girlfriend and boyfriends together, do you see any of those character types.
Women want rape, slavery, etc in fantasy , but that's only fantasy, that's why it's called fantasy. But in reality they want either a normal guy with a steady job or some caring artist type., ultimately someone they can connect with on a social level.
I'm four long term (2-3 years) , live-in relationships into the mix. Be funny and kind , and ask a lot of questions , and you'll be fine. Obviously don't be a wimp, but that's pretty obvious without reading a book on the subject.
TheRedChemist 8y ago
Time to close the sub, guys. devilabit just shut down the whole of TRP theory.
sacbite 8y ago
Devilabit has a great point, though. Try to look at what real women do -- not what their fantasies are. That means actually getting to know real women. When you do, you'll see they DO have those fantasies we've been discussing, but they also have an entire other side to them. If you want to have lots of great sex and a happy fun time with the ladies, you'll need to INTEGRATE both. That shit isn't easy. I'm not saying integration is -- women ARE crazy. But you have to look at REAL WOMEN to learn real game. Not just fantasy and entertainment pages. Because, look at how women act in men's fantasies (porn). Is that REALLY how women are? You know it's not. TL;DNR? Don't base your perception of women on FICTIONAL characters.
