Kevin Costner has made some terrible movies but some great RP scenes: Waterworld and Robin Hood have some, and Bull Durham as well.
troubadour1492 11y ago
Just watched "American Beauty" and it's a wonderfully red pill movie. I enjoyed that immensely.
cptar1 11y ago
No one has mentioned Scarface?
He pretty much gets to the top by fucking over everyone he doesn't like, steals his bosses wife, gets bored of the dumb cunt and dies with an assault rifle trying to kill some other Cuban fuck. Also kicks peoples asses along the way and kills his friend because he didn't respect his wishes.
Also cocaine and explosions are cool. Almost all of my favorite movies are mentioned in this thread. I never realized that all the movies I liked were so RP but that's exactly why I like them.
Tired of seeing stupid fat white guys on TV being yelled at by their cunt wives against a laugh track. When did having self respect become a crime? Media is as dangerous for males as it is for teenage anorexic girls.
Mjazz3 11y ago
Any movie that has no women in it at all. Because if there is a woman at least one man will go all beta at the wiff of a pussy. So here is my contribution for those who havent seen it.

American psycho.

I just watched "Payback" with Mel Gibson for the first time in years, and enjoyed it thoroughly. I won't say it's a red pill movie the way "Fight Club" is, but it's enjoyable as a red pill guy. The guy is totally criminal in every way, and not exactly someone you want to emulate in every detail, but that character has balls to fill a dump truck, never lets anything stand in his way, and TAKES what he wants. It's all mostly believable, unlike a lot of Hollywood fantasy stuff. You could see yourself doing something like that, although you'd be wise to keep your pursuits less criminal in nature.

Thanks man, just subbed.
soulracer 11y ago
Most of the qualities involve some sort of example of men doing what they want and not give a shit. Sure, as an attitude it's good, we shouldn't.
But should we not consider what it is we don't give a shit about? Neither do Sociopaths.. Since many of the examples listed here involve criminals. If we really aren't living FOR the attention of women primarily, I'd think we should also consider our place in society, as leaders of men by example.
nomadicwilk 11y ago
here are some and i've listed the red pill topic you can explore further for yourself in the movie.
[deleted] 11y ago
My own brother told me IP man was a good one, I'll check it out
Dudeduder 11y ago
You have to be sure about which ip man you watch. This is the one you want to watch. Main actor Donnie Yen. It has 2 sequels too that are equally bad ass. Its so red pill and genuine, that its been remade like twice already.
nomadicwilk 11y ago
yup, that's the one. didn't know there were different versions
rico_montoya 11y ago
Of course Gladiator.
Thank You for Smoking, Patton, Guns of Navarone (pretty much any of the older WW2 flicks when men were allowed to be men), Tom Cruise was pretty bad-ass in Collateral, Training Day, Michael Clayton, The Usual Suspects, Swingers. A Bronx Tale
[deleted] 11y ago
I was watching Norbit the other night.
Great example of One-itis, blue pill beta's and how we've been conditioned by society to act as a blue pill
HappyNacho 11y ago
Excellent example of blue pill.

In the Company of Men
[deleted] 11y ago
I've heard good reviews of that as well.

The original The Thomas Crown Affair with Steve McQueen. It's great. Avoid the horrible remake with Pierce Brosnan. That one has Rene Russo playing that same bitchy know-it-all, immasculating female character that's everywhere now.
Romancing the Stone, sort of. It's all about what the woman wants for her dream lover, but what she wants is the kind of man she writes about in romance novels--someone that is strong, assertive, who makes his own path, who will ravage her in the muddy jungle. The only not TRP about it is that it's not too realistic that this aging cat-lady of a spinster is going to be what the swashbuckling hero is interested in, even though it is Kathleen Turner who was still looking pretty good.
[deleted] 11y ago
Remember, he had been out there a LONG time.
[deleted] 11y ago
It's really old like from the 50s. But Akira Kurosawa's Rashomon is really amazing, it teaches you a good lesson on why woman sloot it up. Actually his most popular movies are worth watching. But mind you they're really old and are in black and white. If you can look past race they're Japanese movies. I'm not overrating they're that good. List of his best work
milescowperthwaite 11y ago
Mostly, the movies that are most RP are only that way by default. Look at the movies we've chosen on this page, they have mostly Male casts in Male-Endevoured storylines. When Hollywood mixes women into the plot, it gets messy and predictable.
I would say that "Tropic Thunder" rates as thoroughly RP: It is an all-male cast (except for Shirley from Community in a small role as a Secretary) in masculine pursuits. The director put naked pix of women into one scene just to satisfy his producers 'needs-some-women-in-it' fascination.
"The Great Escape," "No Country For Old Men," and "Die Hard" also meet our criteria...for the same reasons. (Plus, look at how McClane totally alphas it over his wife at the end--she's clingy as a moss after Gruber gets killed).
rpwunder 11y ago
Forrest Gump. Don't believe me? Watch it again. His girl Jenny rides the carousel, sees he's rich, then puts him on the hook for a kid that she can't take care of in the end.
soulracer 11y ago
Let's not forget that he's retarded.
duckducklandwhale 11y ago
I dont even know what this means but try the Wolf of Wall Street.
[deleted] 11y ago
The Thomas Crown Affair.

In heat pay attention to what Robert De Niro says to Ashley Judd. That is RP in action.
[deleted] 11y ago
DeNiro is amongst my tops for sure.

American History X;
It's a movie that shows that the strongest bond is the brother-brother bond. No girlfriends are involved, in fact, one of the characters ends it with his long-time girlfriend because he cares about the future of his younger brother.
American Beauty;
A man throws off the shackles of the sub-urban provider, and embraces freedom.
leftajar 11y ago
Seconding American Beauty.
Here's a very pertinent clip.
heal_thyself 11y ago
Kevin Spacey is amazing.
leftajar 11y ago
Word.

I've seen that one, holy crap,I can't believe I've not thought of it.

American Hustle. I could write a ten page essay on how red pill it is. One of my all time favorites.
rico_montoya 11y ago
That movie kicked Wolf of Wall Street's ass in every way imaginable.
American Hustle was a rock solid fucking movie.
soulracer 11y ago
Ya it was a good movie and there was some good stuff about attitude there. But does being a con artist and ripping people off make you a man? He was a fancy thief, and would you respect a guy robbing convenience stores just as much?
[deleted] 11y ago
Maybe for frame, but not where he's headed for sure.
chakravanti93 11y ago
Even crime is Art if you carry yourself well enough.
Espada18 11y ago
I also think its redpill. However, could you elaborate on why you think it's redpill?
[deleted] 11y ago
I remember Amy Adams' character talking about how she found Christan Bale's character attractive despite his pot belly, because of the way he handled himself.
Espada18 11y ago
But one could also argue that he's blue pill with how he deals with Jennifer Lawrence's character.
[deleted] 11y ago
Irreversible is about as redpill as you can get
[deleted] 11y ago
La Tenia is a role model for any young man on the make.
LibertarianLibertine 11y ago
Ain't that one of the most fucked up movies ever made where the story goes back in time and there's a very vivid rape scene?
Disgusting, but great movie
NakedFist 11y ago
It wasn't all that disgusting to be honest. The movie was pretty tame imo.
LibertarianLibertine 11y ago
It wasn't 'over the top' kinda disgusting, but made to appear so real that it had a far greater effect on me

I thought this Russian movie based on a novel was red pill (has subtitles): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sfjFnOpnh_c
Girl loves cad, tries to settle for niceguy, and the tragic consequences that result.
[deleted] 11y ago
Sounds good.I'm definitely gonna check that out.
WallPhone 11y ago
Jack Nicholson's early films are quite interesting, in particular One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Five Easy Pieces
Edit: films from this decade, The Double practically plagerizes the chicken salad sandwich scene, and appears to show the red/blue dynamics at least until it goes Donny Darko.
Take This Waltz is a good demonstration of how to lose an LTR, and hypergamy in general.
GrantNexus 11y ago
You're a fisherman Martini!
Kloohorn 11y ago
One of the best scenes from Five Easy Pieces.

Gods & Generals
"I myself see in this war, if the North triumph, a dissolution of the bonds of all society. It is not alone the destruction of our property, but it is the prelude to anarchy, infidelity, and the ultimate loss of free responsible government on this continent. With these convictions, I always thought we ought to meet the Federal invaders on the outer verge of just right and defense, and raise at once the black flag, viz., 'No quarter to the violators of our homes and firesides!' It would in the end have proved true humanity and mercy. The Bible is full of such wars, and it is the only policy that would bring the North to its senses." -General Jackson, to Captain Barringer (Not Stuart as depicted in the movie)
FreudianBulldog 11y ago
Lol! I remember I read the book. Very entertaining.
LibertarianLibertine 11y ago
It's a pity they rewrote history to make that war merely about slavery.
Dudeduder 11y ago
I could not agree more. And I might be alone on this but, Lincoln was the worst president. The only president to have a civil war start while still in office.
LibertarianLibertine 11y ago
It's a prime example of 'History is written by the victor'. Lincoln failed in diplomacy and entered a gruesome war, because he could not carry the shame of seeing the country split apart under his reign.
I'm not American, but it was never clear to me why Americans thought he was so great. (Don't get me wrong, it's a good thing slavery ended, but I don't give Lincoln credit for that)
HitlersCow 11y ago
That's where you differ from most Americans.

What's the premise?
M_ouserat 11y ago
McLintock! I never watched John Wayne movies before I started visit TRP, he's definitely a man's man. Also, watch Game of Thrones, Daenerys Targaryen is just another crazy girl without a leash and a ton of luck, while there are tons of masculine alpha examples, Tywin Lannister stands out amongst them, he's cold, calculated, takes what he wants, and shows no remorse.
[deleted] 11y ago
Always loved John Wayne movies.
SgtBrutalisk 11y ago
There is a great horror/thriller called "P2" (2007). If watched through the eyes of a regular consumer, it's a story about a psycho who locks and "tortures" a girl inside an office complex.
Watched through the red pill lens, however, it's a story about a hilariously bluepill/blueballs omega dude who "just wants to be friends and spend Christmas" with a girl. She goes to such lengths to reject him that in the end she stabs him in the eye and sets him on fire after killing his dog.
Dudeduder 11y ago
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut he does kill her boss(not sure?) and tie her up, and be genuinely psycho.
SgtBrutalisk 11y ago
I'm not sure about the killing of the boss either as I watched it with one eye at the start. There is a lot of inconsistency in the way the antagonist is portrayed, I think that the original script was much more subtle but it went through changes in production to make the guy seem much more evil.
For example, he doesn't hurt Angela - ties her to the table and cooks her a dinner, tases her a few times, pours water in the elevator where she is trapped (movie logic) but essentially, all the gore and violence in the movie is done by Angela.

Fight club
[deleted] 11y ago
Already read it and watched it,...
Edit: And really? The downvotes? If you read the OP you'll see I already started this in my selections.

The Godfather Part I and II are red pill when it comes to men but are blue pill around women.
rico_montoya 11y ago
Michael Corleone had that pussy on lock in I and II.
[deleted] 11y ago
Came here to say this, especially this scene here
Also fuck Godfather Part III
cptar1 11y ago
Part III sucks monkey balls

Count of Monte Cristo
chakravanti93 11y ago
There's so much red pill material in the book. The majority of the story isn't even in the movie.
