I think some subs have been rightfully targeted by Reddit due to security reasons but it does make me worry for spaces that don’t fit into the modern narrative. I don’t think our sub is offensive at all and we definitely don’t promote hate, but is there a possibility of this sub being targeted?
I think one of my main concerns is the word redpill in the name and our focus on a more redpill lifestyle in relationships.
coercedaccount2 3y ago
Women's spaces are never targeted. You guys are fine.
Yung4Yrs 3y ago
This sub isn't offensive at all. It most certainly does not promote hate of any kind. It is a space for hope and help to large numbers of women.
The sub does not fit into the modern "mainstream, leftist, feminist" narrative and agenda. Thank God.
The words "Red Pill" are a metaphor used by this community to act as an identity "shortcut" and unabashedly stand for a set of values and beliefs that the community believes are good for women in general and by extension western culture in general. You are also correct Little Dragon that there are some in the reddit sphere that believe anyone or anything with "Red Pill" in it's name or verbiage deserves to be permanently nuked instantly and on it's face. May free speech continue to win out here!
_Pumpkin_Muffin 3y ago
Well, free speech means you can't get in legal trouble for speaking your mind (within obvious limits). It's not the right to say everything, everywhere. Not having a free designated space on a private website doesn't limit anyone's free speech.
DifficultyMindless53 3y ago
Platforms like Reddit purport to be bastions of free speech, and subsequently ban anything that makes them uncomfortable. I'm not sure if that's going to change, and what effect that's going to have on a place like this. Things might be shifting with events such as Elon Musk buying majority shares of Twitter, but only time will tell. Frankly, I'm shocked that this sub has lasted as long as it has, so any amount of time that it remains active is a blessing to those who need it.
LittleDragonMaiden 3y ago
At first, I was on board with the people they were banning like incels but now we are starting to see the slippery slope we were warned about. I’m just wondering just how far is it going to go.
_Pumpkin_Muffin 3y ago
Nah, don't think so. The quarantined red pill subreddit was truly full of hate. As for the other quarantined subreddits, they were talking of the "de-nazification" of Ukraine and the like. I don't think traditionally minded women are being/will be persecuted on reddit.

No, it isn't.

I'm a guy and randomly found this sub. Reddit has banned tons of non mainstream subreddits simply because they don't conform. r/darkenlightenment was great with moderation and made sure no rules were broken. Eventually admins simply replaced the mods and then disallowed new posts lol. If reddit wants to shut down a rub for whatever reason they will, rules don't matter
VasiliyZaitzev 3y ago
You are likely protected by your sex, as TRP is not. The Reddit folks had a rather bad "crash and burn" as the "modern masculinity" site they suggested as an alternative once they quarantined us turned out to be run by guys who, while pretending to be "progressive" or whatever, turned out to be a bit "rapey". Oopsy.
[deleted] 3y ago
Could you elaborate? What site was it?

Certainly

Vas is kinda right. Being female does give you some leeway. You aren’t a young straight man so you aren’t enemy number uno.
That said, keyword is some.
Reddit and pop culture, in large, aren’t the biggest fans of RPW and similar teachings.
Notice the term “pick me”? It’s a neologism.
It didn’t exist a few years ago.
That said, the fact it exists suggests RPW/RPW adjacent teachings must be gaining some traction if the system has made a fake name for it. RPW and co must be doing something right.
Guess it’s a race. Between RPW becoming the culture (instead of counter), and it running out of gas either by natural causes or external factors like censorship.
Guess we gotta see what will happen.
Columba-livia77 3y ago
I don't think it's just being female that means this sub is less likely to be targeted, it's also the behaviour of the men on other subs/communities. For example, I only had to scroll a couple of minutes on an incel forum to see a young man joking about abusing his cat, and other men joking about a teen girl who killed herself (calling her a roastie whore, that sort of thing). It's really not unusual to see them saying vile things, and I haven't seen that from any women here for the months that I've been here. So it isn't just that we're women, it's that women are less likely to say awful things like that. Since young men in redpill communities say things like that more often, it gives them a reputation, that's just how it works, it isn't really discrimination. It's just action = direct consequence, redpill men of all people shouldn't be trying to escape that by claiming discrimination.
I also remember awhile ago lots of radical feminist/gender critical subreddits got banned for hate speech, and they were all majority female. So just being female wasn't the magic trap card you're suggesting.
Protocol_Apollo 3y ago
Key word is other subs. Main sub (TRP) doesn’t have any of this shit. We don’t talk about abusing cats or making fun of suicidal teenaged girls by calling them roasties. We have really good moderators there who come down on this type of thing.
TRP was quarantined long before any other red pill, incel or black pill sub was banned so we can rule out incel migration being the cause.
Assuming you meant r MensRights as the incel sub, do you notice how it isn’t quarantined?
Reddit even has another sub dedicated to making to fun of post wall women/roasties on tinder. But notice how they aren’t quarantined either?
Being female is a trap card until it isn’t.
All those subs were fine/untouched by Reddit espousing virulently anti male rhetoric until they came for the sacred cow: trans.
There is a hierarchy of protected groups in this culture war.
Trans
LGB/Blacks
Women
????
.
.
.
Women are far more protected than men to say whatever they want , which is why no sub has been banned/quarantined for misandry, but subs for “misogyny” have.
TRP and other similar subs haven’t been completely wiped out simply because we dont talk about trans/blacks/lgb. Those rad fem subs did and got banned because being trans/lgb/black trumps being a woman in “oppressed victim” brownie points today.
Columba-livia77 3y ago
The radical feminist subs were banned because of hate speech against men, the radical feminist subs were about men and the gender critical sub was about trans stuff. You're right that trans is protected above all else though. So women on reddit can't get away with saying anything, it seems like the rules are mostly applied objectively. Which is probably why manosphere subs are still up, since they're following the rules as you say. You can't ignore the earned reputation redpill/incel/mgtow has though, they have literally produced mass shooters. That's happened multiple times as well, with men from different areas of the manosphere. That is the main reason why your groups would be targeted more than this one. No female online space has ever created mass killers, not even the most vile radical feminist ones.
Edit: When I say targeted, I mean by 'against hate' type subreddits that scour subs looking for violations, not by reddit itself. It makes sense that they'll more often target subs more well known as being violent.

Jonathan Haidt describes the different between conservatives and liberals thusly:
Conservatives are good at forming teams and circling around physical objects and related things, such at the flag, the Constitution, the Star Spangled Banner, etc.
Liberals are good at forming teams and circling around sacred groups of people. There are, in America, seven such "sacred groups": Blacks, women, LGBTQ, Hispanics, the disabled, Natives, and, most recently, Muslims. Such groups are borderline "immune" from criticism, etc. Thus, we are prohibited from "noticing" that a certain group that is ~13% of the population commits ~52% of the murders, and so on. This also explains why Colin Kaepernick became such a touchpoint: the Right: "How dare he disrespect the flag and the anthem?!" The Left: "How dare you criticize a member of one of the Seven Sacred Groups?!"
If you ever want to see real misogyny, watch a liberal man unleash on a conservative woman. Its like they save it all up to the bursting point and then unload. It's comparable to a Nice Guy^TM who "did all that movie stuff" and get crazy bitter after he doesn't Get The Girl.
If one synthesizes, as I have, Haidt's work with the basis of Robert Bartley's brilliant essay about the RAGE on the Left at their "lost birthright" - that essential to the Left is their own pious self-regard that they are the "Best People" - they went to the right schools, they have the right friends, they are seen at the right places, they hold the right opinions - and concludes that, for the Left to be the "Best People" then someone else has to be the "Bad People".
Who can that be?
Well it certainly cannot be anyone in the Seven Sacred Groups. So who does that leave? Well, we can start with working class whites, and conservatives, generally, whether male or female. We really saw it come out when Stumbles McMyturn lost, and not only lost but lost to That Awful Man!^TM
So the Hating Haters Who HATE^TM have realized that their radical agenda will never gain 50% support among the normies so they have to attack institutions. They started with Universities, courtesy of Jacques Derrida and the deconstructionists, and have moved on to infect the government (nominally neutral agencies such as FBI, CIA, IRA, the Pentagon and DOJ are now active participants) with their radicalism and from there to the corporations. Now we have Disney, Google, Twitter and Facebook doing their dirty work for them by pushing their social agenda, which is the brainwashing of children and the destruction of, well, civilization, or at least the institutions that support it.
Oh, and let's not leave out Reddit. Politically incorrect subs get banned or in TRP's case quarantined...why? Because we are guilty of WrongThink. We are so "bad" and so "fringe" that the tolerant left has to, wait for it, ban our ideas as "threatening"? It's comedic. Except it's happening. The big social media companies banned a sitting president, but the Death To America guy running Iran? Still has his twitter account. Florida passes a law that essentially says "No, you cannot groom 5 year-olds with your poisonous ideology", Disney freaks out. Yet they still happily market their products in countries where homosexuality is banned.
While I am busy enjoying the decline and being the Apostle to the Lost Boys of Reddit, I do wonder what the End Game will be. At some point, I expect that the Saxons will awaken, and that's the point at which we will all be in for some rough sledding.

You must have seen a Best of Modmail compilation.
It is a guarantee that if a guy comes in as an obvious liberal white knight, he will call me worse things than any incel ever does.
Maybe I will make a compilation. Its very easy to demonstrate why women should stay away from male feminist types.

u/VasiliyZaitzev must be talking about this:

Make it. Would love to see what these pompous sanctimonious spergs are like when nobody is looking.
Staying away from male feminists is easy. Just look for a lack of: fashion sense, muscle, grooming, and any succinct hairstyle.
If they look like a soy boy or hipster, you can almost guarantee it’s a male feminist.
Liberal /feminist/soy men are easy to spot because they lack pride in their appearance.
Conservative/sexist /high test men typically do not.

Lost Birthright. It's mostly a product of its time but it did give me a lot of insight into why our friends on the Left think the way they do.
Similarly, I find Victor Davis Hanson, here discussing Biden's radicalism - although really I see Biden as an opportunist - also useful in understanding why half of the country hates the other half and wants to see them destroyed.
FarFromAverage7866 3y ago
Well said Vas. The reality of free speech is
Step 1: Boast about how much free speech you allow.
Step 2: Facilitate private corporations to monopolize all the major means of communication (internet, TV, radio, telecom, newspapers, etc.)
Step 3: Allow private companies to crack down on speech and heavily censor and sanction, especially speech that is contrary to their interests and by extension gov interests.
Step 4: Insist that these companies cannot be regulated by the government because "free market capitalism" or some bs.
Step 5: Profit. I have to applaud them. It was like a perfect game set up by the elite since ages. Now, it's all working in favour of them.
Well, before this cov1d clown show, we all knew there was an "end" game coming because society can only go more "clowner" to an extent before it all collapses. But what this covid tyranny has shown us is that, majority of people are willing to give up their basic freedoms away for something which has a 99.7% chance of not killing them. Covid has shown that the "end game" is just very near. So, now you're left with the establishment taking full control, and proposing more rules and regulations to take your freedoms away in the name of your "safety" and people.. I mean the clowns are falling for it. Plus now with the Russian war, thing's may be crashing down faster than ever. It's all part of their 2030 "Great reset" agenda where "You'll own nothing and be happy." u/gaylubeoil was the first senior contributer to actually post it on TRP which got very few upvotes. Looks like, many "red pìlled" men don't want to wake up to their current NWO narrative on the sub.
So, what's the end game? Maybe a nuclear war, or even a civil war here if people are pushed to the edge. The divide is just too great now. But again, the Dems will lose big time in the mid terms, so I doubt what that will change. But the overall societal/economic collapse is inevitable and we see the warning signs in front of our eyes.

Corruption is part of the life cycle of societies. In the early stages of a social order, individuals participate in institutions, build up a store of value in that institution, and are rewarded for doing so.
The store of value is both tangible (assets) and intangible (knowledge and trust).
But a successful society reaches a point where the sheer magnitude of these stores of value is so great that the winning move (in a game-theory sense) for any individual is to loot or liquidate these value stores rather than work to add to them.
This is the point we are at, in America. Every significant institution of our society, from government to the medical industry to scientific academia to publishing, has been entirely captured by those whose goal and intention is to loot their chosen institution of its store of value.
But this is a specific input to a larger and more general question, which is "If you are an individual, how do you decide which societies and institutions to interact with, and how to interact with them?". This is a little more complicated than a simple decision of which society to live in, as if one were deciding which horse to bet on at the track.
A lot of people feel "betrayed" by the institutions of western society precisely because they imagine those institutions were set up to serve them, and have covertly changed that mission. The reality, however, is that institutions are always set up to serve those who create them, and serving the public, or society, is only ever a side effect.
The trick is to recognize whether your individual interests are convergent or divergent with any given institution, and then select whether to trust, interact from a position of distrust, or to stay the hell away.

Not really. You aren't wrong at all. The West is determined to toss itself in the trash. That process is underway and isn't a problem of mine. The West isn t asking for my help and the East couldn't GAF about me either so for me, why absorb the switching costs? I'm not a kid in college I have had enough variety of pussy to satisfy a small army. I've made enough bucks too. Both continue to flow my way effortlessly.

As said best by The Nomad Capitalist. Eastern Europe or Mexico seems like one of the most "decent" options now since this cov1d clown show began. They don't give a fuck there.
It's concerning when someone considers themself "red pill" yet, they'll be first the in line to get the next experimental booster endorsed by yours truly daddy government and all the knowing science-man Anthony Fauci. That trailer of the "The Grey State" which you had shared, well, it's all a reality now. No wonder it's director "mysteriously" got killed.

The higher ups of Reddit have a constant, ongoing dilemma.
The problem for TRP, and I'm mainly talking about r/TheRedPill in particular here, is that a lot of close minded idiots think it's a place where all the incels, rejects, and losers congregate, because we generally are, at least from what I've observed, are against third-wave feminism, we promote masculinity and femininity, and we are more conservative and critical when it comes to gender and sex dynamics. Furthermore, the actual incels mistakenly perceive TRP as their 'safe-haven' due to aforementioned reasons, which is why the close minded idiots came to those conclusions in the first place, and why TRP is quarantined. That's my theory, it doesn't seem too far fetched.
We don't promote hate, we don't promote sexual violence against women, nor do we promote exploitation of women. It also applies the other way round with men... or anyone in particular for that matter.
We do however, promote criticism and theory that is both logical and fair, alongside taking responsibility for one's life and actions that is within control, and improving ourselves... male and female. Oh yeah, we actually love women too, despite flaws, because everyone has flaws.
I do believe the core of TRP is very morally in tune, but obviously, we will always have the misinformed and unwelcome that come along, such as incels, but that's the case for every community, you'll always have bad apples that completely misunderstand the community, and need throwing out.
I just find it hilarious, yet confusing on why TRP is so demonized... when there's a women's equivalent with 58k+ members! Like a lot of the others have been saying, I do think this sub is spared because it's targeted for women, and women are seen by the extreme lefties as 'the oppressed sex'. Reddit hasn't got their head around that one it seems, or maybe they actually have a valid point. Perhaps it's a Reddit thing in general. I don't know. I'm just a 21 year old bloke trying to escape from all of the leftys screaming and shouting seemingly all the time.
