Ok so the scandal was that an indie game developer tried to make a choose-your-own adventure html game, but wasn't getting much attention. She wanted it on steam, so she fucked five industry guys to get favorable reviews, and to get it green-lit on steam. Her boyfriend finally went online and told the story because he didn't like her cheating on him.

The rumors include: she doxxed herself (with fake information) to get media attention, faked her website getting hacked.

Every major news outlet/discussion board then proceeded to censor any discussion about it, showing the reaches of feminism on the gaming industry.

We felt particularly moved to produce a game that helped simulate her struggles, so that the home-viewer could understand just what she went through.

I hope it's okay that I quoted redpillschool from the TRP thread in the comments. I know some of the women here will click this and be as confused as I was before reading that comment and also watching some of SoftHarem's link, which both together really tell the entire story.
