So to give you a little background, I’m 18 years old, new to TRP, a little below average height, reasonably well built body (no jacked, but certainly not out of shape), reasonably okay looks, reasonably in good health (minus smoking and excessive coffee consumption), pretty good style, above average intelligence but I’ve always been an underachiever until now. I recently started studying law (in the EU you can do law in undergrad) in a language that is not my mother tongue and that takes up most of my time. I don’t have the luxury to do a whole lot of theory reading which I read is actually better for you or the luxury to go out a lot.
I am charming when it comes to making friends, my whole life I never really had any trouble making friends, but I’ve struggled a lot with girls. When I was a boy, every time my parents saw me with a girl they would say some shit like “who is your girlfriend” and to be frank that would piss me the fuck off, so I rejected developing my charm when it came to girls until I was 16 or 17 and the hormones kicked in hard lol. But blaming parents hasn’t gotten me anywhere so I stopped making excuses. Speaking of my parents; beta father and a strong, independent mother.
When I interact with girls, I tease them a lot, make good eye contact, sometimes talk about philosophical shit, but I realize I talk a little too much (as you can probably tell by the length of this post lmao).
I’m still a virgin and I read today that the “focus on your mission” stuff doesn’t really work if you haven’t eaten yet. Apparently “you can’t build a farm when you’re hungry”. So what are your thoughts on this? What advice would you give to me?
TL; DR: I would appreciate any advice that you could give to your 18 year old self, or me, I think here in this community we all have a pretty similar background. Thanks a lot guys.

Move out, start taking bodybuilding/powerlifting seriously, start taking risks with your career (to figure out early what your good at and what your not), understand rejection makes you a better man (women, jobs, etc), truly learn to not give a fuck (you put yourself first, opinions from others about you don’t matter)

You can do that but Western Society got hyper-sexualized so its hard to do.
I believe being a virgin untill 22-23 is not bad.

A few tips for your situation:
redblueninja 5y ago
Great comment, man. Mind expanding your third point?
RedKnightTime 5y ago
Put simply: If you're starving, figuring out the meaning of your life (ie: your mission) isn't your priority. It's not even on your radar. You can't figure out the meaning of your life until you have what you're starving for.
It's also worth pointing out that you can't really know your mission until you have an idea of what you're capable of, and that requires some initial work (ie: getting all of your other ducks in a row).
Put another way, it's hard to know what you actually want until you know what the actual options are (ie: what you're capable of).
Consider the incel platform: Their whole thing is that they can't do shit. They can't ever get those ducks in a row, so they can't ever have a mission and get some satisfaction out of life, etc.

Thanks. Much appreciated.

Can you elaborate more on “raising standards”?
RedKnightTime 5y ago
Sure thing.
The basic idea is that you're accepting a certain "reasonable" level of performance out of yourself when you have more potential than that.
This can come from comparing where you are to other people instead of comparing where you are to your potential.
There's a danger in comparing yourself to other people as a whole. That danger is that other people as a whole absolutely suck, and it's pretty easy to beat them while just coasting and not really trying.
That's why you can't give a shit about how you compare to other people, which is what you're doing when you say shit like you have a reasonably this or you're reasonably that. We are not interested in being reasonable. We're only interested in being absolute monsters.
You don't want women to look at you and think, "Well he's good enough to fuck." You don't want men to look at you and think, "Oh he's reasonably above-average."
No. Fuck that shit.
You want women to look at you and barely be able to contain how much they want to jump on your dick right then and there.
You want men to do one of two things: See you as the ultimate source of inspiration or absolutely hate you with every bit of their being because they know that they have no chance in their lives of ever coming close to competing with you on their best day.
Fuck being reasonably good. Quit accepting low standards for yourself.
Want a good book for this? Relentless by Tim Grover. Google Tim Grover because if you don't know, you should know.

If I were to give advice to you at 18 I'd say learn to get out of your comfort zone. You can read all the stuff on here you want, but at the end of the day we are all different and how one person on here may attract to girls may be completely different from how another does it.
At the end of the day you have to find out what works for you and doesn't. Also, you're going to fail. Learn to take your Ls like a man. Learn from your mistakes and move on. That's all apart of growing up.

Lift. Cut down on video games. Take better care of yourself, go get a damn shower. If you're afraid that you lack experience, fake it till you make it. Don't stay in a relationship that you're sure it's going to collapse on you. Actually don't get in a relationship. Don't be a nice guy for nothing. Don't trust anyone. Start reading books sooner. Appreciate your family more.

Youre going to have a child at 18, with a foreign woman. Youre going to get deep into fraud and cocaine. Then youll go on to create a small business in wildlife control while being a top sales agent/AE in the 3PL industry. Then go on to destroy the 3PL company and fraud a few digit accounts for your self. Then youll hope you can keep it together before you even turn 23. Also : "Bitches aint shit nigga" "invest in aapl and goog" "Get all the bitcoin"

Learn math
asap_ksj 5y ago
I was always good in math when I was in school, at the top of my class with absolutely bare minimum effort, and my school had a harder math program than any other programmes (International Baccalaureate). Unfortunately there is little to no importance of math in my university's law program, which is what I am studying right now.

Why do you think it is important to math?
thrwy75479 5y ago
Because money.
Ekhochambeer 5y ago
Where can you go with math? Im in my first year of a math major.
thrwy75479 5y ago
The options are endless.
Anything that require some sort of understanding of logic and numbers. It can be as simple as arithmetic in cashier jobs, to more complex numerical and statistical analysis in finance, or throw in a bit of biology to work in bioinformatics. Pick up some programming, and now you're indispensable.
If you've got people skills, you can then move up into management, where you'll realize how pointless it is to acquire any skills at all, since it's all about who you know and in what capacity you know them.
Being good at math is a huge advantage.

Don’t do drugs. Just like Icarus, flying too high will send you tumbling back down to the earth in a most painful manner. Self improvement and attacking your problems is the surest way to enduring—as opposed to fleeting—happiness.
furcryingoutloud 5y ago
Learn about finances. Learn to generate income. Having a career is great. But learning about money is something that schools rarely touch upon.
Don't wait until you are in your 30's to begin to learn about making money. Money, Money is king. Everything else should come in second.
asap_ksj 5y ago
I bought "The Intelligent Investor" from Amazon last month. I want to focus on my studies during the semester, but I am planning on studying that book in my summer vacation. Would you say that is a good book to start with, and do you have any other recommendations, as in sources?
furcryingoutloud 5y ago
A really good book to read is "Rich Dad Poor Dad".
Read biographies of the rich. Rockerfeller's biography kicks ass. Not Nelson's, John D. The first one, the one who made all the money. Henry Ford, another rocking dude. There's plenty of books that will teach about business. Read about Fedex's founder, Fred Smith, kickass story.
Watch the movie, The Founder. it's about how McDonald's got started. Look into the marijuana field. It's going to be huge.
Look up Grant Cardone, this guy knows how to make money. He's really blue pilled, but he knows how to make money.
Basically, the takeaway from all this is you can make a lot of money if you apply yourself. Get your education, you seem pretty well on your way there. But nothing stops you from learning how to make money while you're at it.
