I know AWALT etc. but it would be really stupid to not also think there aren't individual/cultural differences that occur. For the most part I do believe RP theory works, but I've run into a few instances where it doesn't seem to...despite the wealth of (seemingly American?) examples otherwise. Just wondered if anyone found this too?

The whole point that these quirks between the genders are underlying tendencies of motivations and behaviours that have developed over thousands of years of evolution. Some nationalities may be more fiery, some may be known as being more or less sexually expressive - ultimately these are just overt surface tendencies / behaviours, not sexually strategy.
Present day geographical differences don't make any difference underneath all of the social construction/conditioning - there is still the potential for solipsism, hypergamy etc to present themselves in the right conditions
