Hello !
I am aware that this question has been asked before, but I didn't find something convincely enough.
Backround: I am 18 years old and I want to transform my body into a true alpha male. I have lifted before but I had some sort of fuckarounditis and I think that it was because of my diet.
Now, I started to track my macros and I find very hard to hit my protein target everyday(I am skinny, low body fat). After 1 week of doing so , I often feel sick of how much food I ate that day and unable to do anything else than sleep.
I am always around 2600-2700 cal a day. (I am trying to eat clean)
Here are the questions:
1.Are protein supplements useful ?
2.Are they safe from a health point of view ?
3.Which one would you recommend ?
- Do you think that it makes the progress faster ?s
I have browsed the fitness sub, but I wanted some red pill opinions on that.
I am mostly concerned about them being harmful to my health.

Dude. Everyone takes whey protein. It's the baseline.

Supplements are supplements to help with nutrition. If you don't get enough vitamins a vitamin supplements can help, not enough protein and a protein supplement will help you reach your daily intake. It's not steroids, and is more of a convenience factor.

Protein supplements like whey are safe, but be careful if you are lactose intolerant (protein farts just became worse) and rather opt for something more clean and processed or a different source like beef or pea. Creatine might have connections to increasing speed of male pattern baldness, and that is a risk up to you. Vitamins are safe unless you overconsume by 1000%

You don't become a "true alpha male" with protein and supplements.
Being alpha is behavioural. It is the way you act.

You had me at
You're capable of reading and writing. If you had tried to combine the reading with thinking, you'd found out that a supplement is meant to supplement if there's a deficit in your nutrition. Hence the name. If you cannot get X from your diet, but your body requires X for a reason, you can take a supplement when necessary. Make sure this "when" is only every now and then. And of course you can fuck up using supplements, but they're not pure poison.
If you use them wisely, yes
Whey isolate
Faster? No, how could it? It's just a building block. The fastest way to progress is that you actually overcome your fuckarounditis.

Whey powder is a godsend, I can down 40g of protein within 10 sec after my gym session. It helped he hit the 1g of protein/1lb body weight goal.
