Self improvement can be simple!
Step 1: Make new self-improvement goals for this month.
Step 2: Do your best to achieve your goals.
Step 3: Next month report back on your progress as well as make new goals for the proceeding month.
Step 4: Become a more awesome person!
Factors for success for creating good goals:

Quantify your goals ("I want to lose 5lbs or 2% body fat" is a better goal than "I want to lose weight".)

Make goals that are realistic. Don't try to lose 50lbs in one month.

Make goals that are sufficiently challenging, push yourself.
- Create a specific plan for reaching your goals.
Your goals can have to do with anything that you want to work on.

May goals:
-Exercise at least 4X per week
-Spend a min of 45 mins per weekday on housework
-Finish reading novel for May (a Jane Austen novel for anyone who is curious)

May goals:
• Schedule chores better so I have all housework done by the time I'm serving dinner, so all I have to do in evenings is look after kids, wash dishes, and clean the kitchen+dining room.
• Try and do some bible reading with kids every morning
• Try and wake before 6am each weekday, so I have time to cook better breakfasts + iron husband's work clothes
