Self improvement can be simple!
Step 1: Make new self-improvement goals for this month.
Step 2: Do your best to achieve your goals.
Step 3: Next month report back on your progress as well as make new goals for the proceeding month.
Step 4: Become a more awesome person!
Factors for success for creating good goals:
-
Quantify your goals ("I want to lose 5lbs or 2% body fat" is a better goal than "I want to lose weight".)
-
Make goals that are realistic. Don't try to lose 50lbs in one month.
-
Make goals that are sufficiently challenging, push yourself.
- Create a specific plan for reaching your goals.
Your goals can have to do with anything that you want to work on.
Good luck!

My boyfriend is going to be the Best Man at his best friends wedding 3 months from today. I want to look good in a dress for my boyfriend and be someone he is more than proud of being with.
This month I have made a goal to lose 5lbs. Last month I achieved this goal so this month should go just as smoothly.
This past week I hit the gym Mon, Wed, and Fri which is better than my normal once or twice a week. I'm going to keep up with this every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday this month.
I've also been doing great with keeping my calorie count low but still getting in my vitamins for the day. I use a protein shake and a little chocolate Luna bar or something to stave off cravings. I'm going to continue with this because it has been working well.

I'm not sure if anyone on this sub had mentioned this yet, but bullet journals are a great way to track your progress, keep you organized, and help motivate you.
For mine, I have on my left page the current week's days sectioned off in boxes going down the page, which I write my work schedule and the hours I actually worked each day, as well as my itinerary for that day- appointments, plans with family/friends, trip to a certain store. etc. I have a few other sections on that page as well, and on the right page I have a checklist for tasks or anything I want to track, and each day of the week for each column. I keep track of what days I do certain workouts, household chores, my coffee intake, when my husband and I have sex, even when I whiten my teeth. I keep a record of anything I want to track (not necessarily do everyday, though there are some "tasks" on there that I do everyday), for example the sex, so I can find some correlation with our moods/level of closeness and when we are intimate and how often.
It's also motivating to see what I did and when I did it, like with my workouts, as it helps me to see where I'm at and encourages me to stay on track. There are a lot more things I'd like to incorporate into my journal spread, such as calorie intake, a food journal, and my daily (or weekly) weight. I think it could help me to lose weight and be more fit/in shape.
Since starting my bullet journal almost a year ago, I feel more organized and in charge of my time/energy. I'd recommend it to anyone who likes task lists and keeping track of their goals, it can be an extremely helpful tool.
