Self improvement can be simple!
Step 1: Make new self-improvement goals for this month.
Step 2: Do your best to achieve your goals.
Step 3: Next month report back on your progress as well as make new goals for the proceeding month.
Step 4: Become a more awesome person!
Factors for success for creating good goals:
-
Quantify your goals ("I want to lose 5lbs or 2% body fat" is a better goal than "I want to lose weight".)
-
Make goals that are realistic. Don't try to lose 50lbs in one month.
-
Make goals that are sufficiently challenging, push yourself.
- Create a specific plan for reaching your goals.
Your goals can have to do with anything that you want to work on.
Good luck!

This is the first month I'm stating my goals in rpw. My goals are:
-go to at least 1 gym class on the days I don't work -join weight watchers this week -go jogging for 15 min each day on my days off
I really want to become healthy and athletic.

I completed .5/3 goals last month. Oops.
Still need to work on adding more protein to my diet in preparation for starting weights.
I didn't explore the gym like I wanted, but I should still be on-track come January.
I got an epilator and my legs were super smooth... for a week. I can't tell if my leg hairs are just growing in because they're at different stages of growth and smoothness will happen again OR if it's breaking the hairs instead of pulling them out at the root like it should.
New one for this month: It's winter break and I don't work, so I'm going to work on being the best housewife I possibly can instead.
We also recently decided to finally get married, so we got that stuff: telling our families, choosing rings, figuring out how you actually go about getting married, etc.

So November was a bit of a bust for me so I hope December will be kinder.
My goals for this month are:
Get in the Christmas spirit.
Do all those things I've been meaning to do for the past to months.

I like the SMART acronym for goals. There are a few different versions, but I think the best is Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound.

Are you a nurse?...because we learned that in nursing school for making care plans for patients.
I'm a nurse.

I'd like to join! This month:
Pantry month! I need to cook as much as possible from what I already have because I want to cut our grocery budget. Once I've cleared out old stock (probably next month) I'm going to try a new shopping strategy that I think will end up saving us around $150 a month.
I started meditating every morning on December 1st, my goal is to continue doing so and eventually get up to 20 minutes every morning, right now I'm at about 5 minutes.

From the last November post -
I did put myself out there for the guy I had a crush on/was in the friend zone with and it did NOT turn out as planned at all. Which actually turned out to be a great thing.
For December my plan is to stay on top of and accountable for physically manifesting my femininity. So nails, clothing, overall appearance. Getting in the regular habit of skincare and makeup!

Yay, I've just started a goal setting system for myself! Glad y'all are on the same page!
This month, I want to:
Work out every day. For me, this usually involves taking a walk/run.
Cut sugar/dessert consumption to once a week.
Finish my transfer application.
Finish my Christmas gifts, and deliver them.
Write a daily to do list every night for the next day.
