It's just reality. Here in Germany the women football team won the world cup once. Nobody even noticed. Womens football has a fraction of the fans of male football. How are the clubs supposed to pay those millions of salary if they don't have the same income stream? They should rather sue the fans for not watching their games.

It amazes me that anybody would come to the aid when they knowingly refused a contract structure similar to the men’s team. They signed on the dotted line and now they were whining and wanting damages.

This is Joe Biden though. Creepy towards women and sexist against men. He was one of the authors/cosponsors of VAWA which replaced gender neutral family violence laws/funding with gendered ones. Many of the laws were challenged in court and had to be rewritten gender neutral. The funding is still very gendered 25 years later. He has called passing these discriminatory laws one of his proudest moments in politics. Equal rights under the law doesn't matter. https://joebiden.com/vawa/
Biden also immediately responded to DeVos's updates to the Title IX sexual misconduct rules saying he would remove due process from Title IX kangaroo courts again. This is one of the ten-ish good things the Trump administration has done. Why not revert one of the thousands of bad ones instead of removing the rights of the accused to defend themselves?

this is not a good look for them. Filing the lawsuit just made it public knowledge that the womens team chose their contract and rejected the one they now claim they want. Now that it IS public knowledge, they're still stamping their feet and saying "not fair".
it doens't portray them as mature adults.

They were offered the same contract as men (play more games, get paid more) but declined it and chose guaranteed pay and benefits.
I know their argument--equality above all else. It doesn't matter that men happened to play well, that doesn't matter. The fact that men playe well entitles women to get paid more (because if men played poorly, they would have been paid less than women).

You actually didnt even tell the whole story. The women's team actually did get paid more than the men's team, but they complained that if they had the men's contract they would have gotten EVEN more.
" According to a letter released Monday by U.S. Soccer President Carlos Cordeiro, the federation has paid out $34.1 million in salary and game bonuses to the women as opposed to $26.4 million paid to the men. Those figures do not include benefits received only by the women, like health care."

The solution is to end the men's and women's team and just have one team... it would also help to fix the problems with lesbians in the sports.
