We've had a couple of guys post on this topic -- asking how to make a move on your wife's friends.

It's really EASY!

Don't.

I can't believe I even have to write this. If you have to ask for advice on how to do it, do you really think you're getting good vibes on the situation? And if you get it wrong, do you realize how badly you've just fucked yourself strategically?

If they want to fuck you, they will make a move on you. And it won't be something like "hey... let's organize a kid's play date."

If you're regularly fucking other women on the side, and you can actually read a vibe and communicate intent non-verbally, this doesn't apply to you.

If you're already fucking your wife's friends, obviously this advice doesn't apply to you either.

Speaking from first-hand experience. My wife and I had a very flirty relationship with her best girl friend for about three years. Lots of drinking, hot tubbing, “accidental” wardrobe malfunctions, “playful” innuendo, etc. My wife acted totally cool with it all and even instigated, so me being a dumbass started thinking we were on our way to a threesome.

Boy was that a fucking miscalculation. Wife grew jealous and resentful and they started competing for my attention. It all blew up over time and my wife ended up withdrawing and having an affair because she felt like I was unfaithful “In my heart” by lusting after another woman. I was the epitome of retarded (and blue-pilled) and the divorce ended up costing me about $1M.

So dudes, if you’re married focus on yourself and be the Ned Stark of your household. Don’t even THINK about fucking your wife’s friends or anyone else. Seriously - get the thought out of your head and stop watching porn and thinking it’s reality because it’s not. Thoughts tend to lead to actions.

at least in the circles i run in, it is common for married couples that are friends to flirt with each other's spouses. i've noticed this behavior really takes an uptick with older people (40's and up) and couples that have older children. even if your wife's friend would shag you (because you're attractive); it doesn't mean she wants to beyond a passing fancy or would actually. adding a little alcohol, this type of thing can get pretty lively; but the wise man keeps one foot out the door at all times.

it's a type of dance that demonstrates that you are both attractive and NOT THIRSTY. remain aloof, and don't fuck it up.

Had a female friend since we were kids, she's married with kids. Her husband, kids and I all got along great. Hung out with all of them and my sisters and their families.

Both my sisters hit me up after telling me the way I acted with my friend was "inappropriate". One of my sisters confronted the female mutual friend. The friend sends me this long message saying how she was inappropriate and apologized, I'm just so "magnetizing to be around".

I told the woman and my sisters nothing that happened was inappropriate and they were overreacting.

A week later I get a message from the friend's husband saying she told him she had feelings for me bla bla bla and asking for my ?help? I ghosted all of them.

Lost some really good friends and relationships over nothing. Obviously they weren't that good if they were ruined over something so trivial, but I digress.

TL;DR: No longer friends with a married couple because the woman "caught feelings" for me.

I let her borrow a dvd and she let me borrow a book, my sister said us "exchanging gifts" was inappropriate. All the things she said were inappropriate made me laugh. She left at 10 pm to go work and I left shortly after. When I left she was still outside waiting to be picked up so I waited with her until the car arrived. One of my sisters was leaving as well and saw me. Apparently us being alone outside together was inappropriate. There were more but I can't remember them all.

The friend confessed her and her husband had been having problems which made her not "think twice" about her actions. I figure it could have been anything I was the excuse/ something to blame/ a way to externalize all the problems. My sister was jealous that the friend and I got along so well and she was getting free attention from me (someone with high status).

I don’t go from buzzed to drunk with any woman I’m fucking. My biggest internal indicator is the feeling of moving from a mental buzz to a physical buzz. I switch from alcohol to water then - which also helps with hangover.

i think the "why" people do this is simple - it's enjoyable and yes i think it signals hierarchy but this is much less important

i think the "why" as to older people is they just give a lot less fucks about what other people think and keeping up appearances. their more comfortable in their own skin. it's one of the joys of getting old in my opinion, a lot of people stop being stuck up cunts.

edit - older people also tend to have more humility and empathy - because life has handed them there head a few times and they know what it feels like to lose.

I think the temptation for me comes from a need for validation at least as much as just wanting sex. I'm interested in less attractive women than I would be normally because they are my wife's friends.

I know it's unhealthy, and I'm actively working to reduce that mindset, but that's my perspective on it. For a lot of us noobs it is just yet another bandaid for insecurity.

It's not entirely academic. Or moreso don't let it be all academic. Make this just another thing you need to develop. You don't have to fuck em, but definitely talk to them. Flirt. Play games. Use the randoms on the street to build your social confidence again. The more you talk, the more comfortable you'll get. The more comfortable you get, the easier it'll be for you to just laugh at your wife's shit tests.

I thought the same at first, but then I figured out I was just scared and using that as an excuse to avoid it. But it plays into the overall big picture.
