Tonight's show is one for the MRP and RPW crowd that I think everyone can benefit from. Tune in at 9pm eastern as Joe and Stephanie discuss respect, submission, and the captain / first mate dynamic.

These videos are pathetic dude. I'm not understanding the characters that you're endorsing here, or elsewhere, but it's really bottom-of-the-barrel kind of stuff.
I criticized rollo a few times not too long ago, but compared to him, the last few videos you've endorsed have sucked - and by virtue of that - you lose credibility.
Consider the dude who recommended "buying stocks" a week ago because we'd reached the "bottom."
What are his credentials? Do you understand that the advice he provided could have bankrupted a bunch of inexperienced dudes? Do you care?
Have you noticed that we have not yet reached the bottom? That's what happens when you get rank amateurs to comment on things they're not qualified to address.
Likes these two in the video.
They're absurd.
Who's the dude? Who's the girl?
This is piss-poor advice, piss-poor production, and piss-poor delivery, whether you're the original guru founder of the known universe or not.
Maybe you can pass this off as quality material to a bunch of pimpled-faced assholes in TRP, but I prefer that you not insult our readership with this dreck.

The channel is just starting out so give them a chance. If you have solutions to help improve the quality then say so. If you want to see specific ideas discussed, then make suggestions.

Why the hell would he provide any info for someone else's YouTube channel? If it sucks at first, should they really be dispensing advice?

Don't be a dick. Almost alll youtubers are rough starting out. Nature of the beast so support them anyway as it's a collaborative effort. Also worth keeping in the back of your mind is that red pill subs all have a target on their back. It's only a matter of time until Reddit cleans house, so we need to encourage others to take up the torch or else this community will go extinct.

Something I was told very early on: Never diminish your own work. Someone is giving you attention, which means they think it's good enough to watch instead of doing something else. Don't call that guy an idiot.
Something I learned early on: never take others advice on how to create content. People are retards who contradict themselves and don't know what they want.
Something I discovered: there will be a gap between my vision and what I can implement. the gap will never go away so plug away at the 10,000 hours it will take to close.

No - it sucks because you made it suck. If you wanted it not to suck, you would have made it so.
Own your fucking shit.

Do you have feedback that can be put into action to actually improve the content? Otherwise you're not helping.

Nobody is good at this right out of the gate unless they went to school for it or did it professionally in another form. Andrei Jihk is good because he was a film editor, so his stuff looks extremely polished. For the rest of us visual media is a skill that needs to be learned and perfected. That takes time. Be patient as the presentation is incrementally improving little by little. Having a slick format and presentation doesn't help much if the message, the content at heart isn't any good. That's what I'm focusing on improving first. It's all about the content. This is why the Sunday show switched to focusing on The Sidebar vs a Q&A and giving feedback on field reports. And on that note the channel is a livestream format for real-time coaching by design. I occasionally make clips to be shared like /u/RStonePT pointed out, but I have also noticed they don't do so well.

Do you have your 4000 hours yet? If not, those can save you a good month of time to get to the hurdle.
I started my channel a month or two after Hunter and got monetization 3 months faster, every bit helps and you can always remove them later on

Nope. Just got 2.1K hours.

I cant watch people talking aimlessly for over an hour on youtube. Write down what you want to say, edit it, refine it, make it succinct, then read it. Just stream of consciousness chatting is boring. Background noise.
Next episode make it under 15 minutes, articulate a clear point, keep your listeners interest and clean up the audio quality. I'm not alone in these thoughts because look at the decline in viewership.
Articulate - expressing oneself meaningfully, clearly, and effectively.
RStonePT 6y ago
You're definitely in the minority.
From my own stuff, I've found that 2 hours in a themed conversation I'll get about the same views as short form scripted content. However, when I take succinct ten minute clips of single points and make clips it gets about 25% of the views.
My guess is that about 1/4 or 1/5th of people can't stand watching hours of conversation, and for those guys the short clips make sense, but a majority of people enjoy the long form stuff.
Though when it comes to long tail views, scripted short form content with some aesthetic quality to them do better than both. I don't have enough experience yet to say whether one, the other, or all the above are better strategies, and for what ends.

Whose we?
I didn't see anyone helping me edit scripts, videos. No one helping me film. In fact I've seen fuck all from 'we'
So until 'we' either pads my view time or starts chipping in. I will continue to do what I do without open sourcing my work.
