Hey everyone! I was hesitant to post on the Christian Red Pill Reddit because you’re required to be a man, but I’m looking for suggestions from both men & women.
My boyfriend (he doesn’t have Reddit so I’m posting on his behalf) and I have been dating for a year now. In our current 13000km apart, he has started reading to me often. In addition to reading The Word, we’re looking for some suggestions.. we both enjoy books on gender roles & family rearing. He specifically asked me to reach out and ask for books on masculinity & femininity, leadership, and parenthood (motherhood/fatherhood/both).
We’ve read a handful that I’ll include below:
- The Exemplary Husband - Stuart Scott
- Biblical Manhood (Leadership, Masculinity, & Decision Making) - Stuart Scott
- Anxiety & Fear - Stuart Scott
- Communication & Conflict Resolution - Stuart Scott
- Pride & Humility - Stuart Scott
- Fault Lines - Voddie Baucham
- The Exceptional Wife - Martha Peace
- Fascinating Womanhood - Helen Andelin (I read this alone).
Please feel free to make suggestions or let us know what you think of these books if you’ve read them. My boyfriend is thoroughly enjoying leading us through books and applying it to our day to day lives.
God Bless you all

Yes! Laura Doyle’s stuff is great, and I really enjoy her podcast too.

She is lovely! I haven't finished the book yet (don't remember which one I grabbed, I'm cycling through a few right now) but I love her writing style. It's very comforting :) I need to listen to her podcast sometime.

This should be noted..... A lot of these books are faith based.
If you are not a believer.... The values translate regardless. I am not religious and neither is my partner, but these books have helped our relationship tremendously.

My partner and I are fans of Athol Kay. My partner has read his book and I've watched his YouTube videos. RP liked him to a point but made pretty harsh comments about his wife and ultimately decided he wasn't really red pill enough I guess. I don't know, me and my guy both liked his work.

Harsh comments about appearance of actual quality of the woman?

Why harsh comments about wife?

She wasn't attractive enough to meet the RP standard I guess. They call her a whale and this that and the other. Guy seems to really love her even with all the RP concepts. These are just things I've read here and there about them. But ultimately his work is good.

I didn't know about that, and am a huge fan of Athol Kay 's writing as well. I was very sad his website is gone. It really helped break down a lot of concepts.

Oh...I thought this was case like Rollo tomassi. Like guy who got married and wasn't aware of red pill then realised he could do better but still stay in marriage

I’ve never read it, but people seem to really enjoy Jordan Peterson’s 12 Rules for Life.

The Queen's Code by Alison Armstrong (her observations of men as compared to women are so insightful. While I don't believe she is a Christian, I believe her observation of God's design for the male/female dynamic is excellent)
Also her book is written as fiction so it makes for an interesting story while you're learning at the same time.

I also really like the book a Woman of Strength and Purpose by Cynthia Ulrich Tobias. I am a very strong willed woman, and sometimes we get a bad rep! The book talks about how to use that will to be a better servant to your community and family. The first time I heard the author speak on a podcast I GASPED - because she was describing me. I don't suffer fools and I lack patience for those who can't get things done. Which I am sure you can see.... Not the most red pill friendly ideals. But this books maps out how to channel that energy into good.
I suggest it for those that think all we ever do in red pill is tell women to be doormats - which is not true, but people see what they want to see!
