Self Improvement can be simple! Step 1: Make a new self-improvement goal for this month. Step 2: Do your best to achieve your goals. Step 3: Next month report back on your progress as well as make new goals for the proceeding month. Step 4: Become an awesome person! Factors for success for creating good goals:
- Quantify your goals. I want to lose 5lbs or 2% of body fat is a better goal than I want to lose weight
- Make goals that are realistic. Don't try to lose 50lbs in one month.
- Make goals that are sufficiently challenging, push yourself.
- Create a specific plan for reaching your goals. Your goals can have to do with anything you are working on. Good Luck!

Thank you :) Those cookies taste really nice! Do you make mostly Italian cookies?
They’re all different kinds of “Plätzchen”- basically a variety of little Christmas cookies. Last week, I made linzer cookies . Making cookies mostly from Austria and Germany, but also Italy, Greece, Sweden, Denmark and France.

Not necessarily, but they are what I grew up with! Both of my grandmothers were Italian so a lot of my cooking is from there. But, I'm American so I usually am making a fusion of something lol. My husband's grandmother is Slovenian so I have to make potica this year, which thankfully his grandmother gave me the recipe.

Those cookies looks so cute! I will have to try making them at some point. That's a lot of places! How many cookies do you usually make around the holidays?

That’s really nice, you must’ve gotten a great head start in the kitchen. Italian grandmother’s are incredible cooks. Haha gotta love that fusion! That Slovenian potica look delicious!! Had never heard of it before and am definitely going to try making it :)
It’s going to be quite a few types this year, around 20 different kinds of cookies.

Last month I didn't achieve my monthly weight goal but that's ok. I improved my eating habits quite a lot and now I'd like to work out more.

My work out routine is going pretty amazing. I am realizing that I lost about 20 pounds since this time last year which is keeping me motivated.
This month I have started walking places instead of driving. Which usually gets me about 2 or more miles a day. I’ve increased my presence at the gym to daily. Moved from doing just cardio to drop weight and started strength training. I also resumed my core work outs. My goal for the next month is to continue to lose weight but I am now shifting my focus to being more toned. I’d like to lose about an inch on my hips and a half inch on each thigh. Given my quick progress I don’t think it’s unreasonable.
Challenge: locating a tape measure to measure my progress since I am shifting from just weight loss to toning. Finding one in the city has not been as easy as you would think lol.
On an emotional front. My guy and I have some stuff coming up. Hoping he will have captain status soon.
Oh and for those wondering. I created a new account. My last account was compromised.

make a 3.5 gpa this semester
How can I break this up into steps?
eelyeel 5y ago
I don’t really think you need to break the GPA up into steps because I don’t really think it’s possible. Maybe try to figure out what’s the lowest grades you can score and still obtain that?
For the weight loss - come up with an exact date you want to lose it by (for example: Oct. 1st, 2020) and then calculate the minimum amount of weight per month you’d have to lose to obtain that. And if you wanna make it even more broken down, calculate from there how much weight you’d need to lose per week.

I'm aiming to lose 15 lb by the end of this year. I track my calories daily already and made a task sheet to document how I have contributed to my goal every single day. I broke the 15 lb up into 5 lb monthly goals. Let me know if you ever need an accountability partner to keep you motivated!
