Can I still ask questions?

Go ahead and ask here, it'll get lost in the old thread. Fire away. :)

I'm a Generation Y guy. I'm pretty young, 24, but as I get older I find myself increasingly disappointed in the opposite sex. I no longer depend on women as a source of happiness, I find that more often than not I end up sad, bitter, and discouraged. Deep down, I just want to be loved. I just want to be happy. After being on TRP, and from my personal experiences, I don't think that the idealized version of love I desire from a woman exists. (See the Women in Love article). I want a woman completely devoted to me for who I am.
Is it possible for me to get that type of love and devotion in 2013 from Gen Y women, and if so, what do I need to do to get it?

You're pretty young... I wouldn't worry about anything serious till you're late 20's at least. Just have fun for now. Look for a younger lady further down the line. But if you don't want to wait, my advice is the same both ways:
I think you can find that type of love and devotion, but you have to look somewhere other than the usual pick up spots. I doubt you'll find it at a bar or club. Get on meetup.com and search for groups that correspond to your interests and hobbies. Even if you don't find any prospects there, you'll still be meeting new people and developing your sense of self and social confidence.
No matter what, you need to have an alpha frame, and you'll have to have one for the rest of your life. It will attract women to you, and it will keep them attracted through the years once you find the one you want to stick with.
There's nothing wrong with you being picky. You've got a lot to choose from, and you're not even in your prime SMV years yet. :)

Thank you so much for responding. I found it surprisingly inspirational. I'm really looking forward to my peak years. For the time being I'll do what it takes to raise my SMV and to maintain an alpha frame. I'll also try meetup.com (:
