It's been about twice as that. But yeah, this is probably something we may disagree on. To me, career is attaining enough skill to justify moving past entry-to-mid level positions, with enough prospects to change employer to a similar position at a later date. Something the OP is unlikely to happen ...

I mean, I specialized in a technology, rose through the ranks and now out-earn majority of population in English country I immigrated to, as part of inter-branch transfer. All this within 4 years of starting at the company.
It doesn't get more career than that.
