@firmware_pimp Well when we talk about the observable world and quantum mechanics, string theory, and nuances such as quantum entanglement... suddenly all of the known problems with quantum mechanics disappear when we talk about quantum realism. I'm not going to jump into this too much, but I do believe it is highly likely that we are in a simulation. The reason we don't pull a GTA is b/c there are consequences that we experience in this reality that may be undesirable (ie: getting raped in prison). Also there are variations on sim theory, is there one REAL player, multiple, or are we all some complex ai npc. So communicating experience and theories would be normal regardless. Believe in real life is a false assumption, they may simply believe in consequence. Would you keep killing yourself in Mario if you wanted to win? This reality regardless if it is or is not a sim absolutely does have consequences. Yes if we are in a sim, the sim is still existing in reality and you still exist within the definition of that reality (real or not). Look the entire point of sim theory is that it could be possible, quantum realism hints that it is very possible. I could explain it in depth but I don't think it really matters. It just doesn't matter at the end of the day, because we have no control over it and we have zero idea why such a sim would be put into existence in the first place. I just enjoy life, sim or not. Don't lose sleep over it.
