Cold water closes your pores so the hairs get off harder. I wash my face with warm/hot water before shaving and after I rinse it with cold water so less dirt gets into the pores.

Can agree. When I lived by waking up at 6:00 and went to sleep around 22:30/23:00 I was productive as fuck. Got enough time in the morning to do stuff I want, got enough time to chill out after work. Great balance. Anything before 6 AM is retarded for me.
