@lividity why on earth did you call him "B"? He's the typical Alpha.
Listen up: No amount of social skill and lays will make up for a lack of materiality and liquidity.
I keep seeing a severe lack of material possessions from a few of my friends. But there's this one fella in particular. I'll call him B.
Now, B is a master of Game. I have seen this mfker pull off impossible (for me, at least) lays. This one time we went on vacation together he woke me up in the middle of the night to tell me he's going out with this hotwife and that she's got a friend. They were both married, and their husbands were sleeping. B single handedly instilled 2 married women to cheat on their husbands with some guys a dozen rooms down the hallway from where their husbands were sleeping.
So why is B relevant here? Because this motherfucker (literally) has no awareness of his material and financial status. He's currently got a rich girlfriend. She has 2 cars, and a luxurious house she got from her parents. They are both in their late-mid-20s. He mostly drives her cars, he lives at her place, and acts as her personal chauffeur. He's got close to no income, no place of his own, and a car he "borrowed" from his parents and never returned. I don't expect their relationship to last long to be honest. He needs the relationship to work. She doesn't need it to work as much as B does. What does this mean? It means she leads the relationship. She has more power. His schedule caters to her schedule. If you ask me, that is sad.
He owes me money, he owes money to a common friend, he even owes money to his parents. Now, if B had a decent income, a few assets and something resembling a financially oriented mind, he'd very likely be in the top 1% of men. But his mistake is this: he places social abilities above material status.
On the other hand, I have always placed my material and financial status waaaaay above any social ability. I may be sub-par at Game compared to him, but I really couldn't care about it less. I live my life free. There is nothing in this world that forces me to alter my behavior or my goals. I have true, complete, pure fucking freedom. Having "fuck-you" money should be on every man's list of goals they want to achieve and are working on. Having this kind of freedom gives you a kind of power that is unattainable any other way. Within any professional or social interaction, I start from a position of power, and all I have to do is maintain some of that power. In my opinion, when navigating the SMP, this kind of power is the ultimate advantage. Your whole attitude and approach to social interactions changes. You will eventually not care about the outcome.
I navigated the CorpoLand (do read Zaitsev's guide to navigating the corpoland, I identified myself with his stories; that guide is gold for young men entering the capitalism playground) since I turned 20, worked smart, made connections and gotten out when it was advantageous. I invested the money smart enough such that I now simply don't need to work; in other words, it is my choice to work because I WANT TO, not because I NEED TO.
You might think: "ok buddy, you got lucky, not everyone can obtain that kind of freedom". You're wrong. Everybody can do it. But not everybody does it. Why? 2 reasons: humans are highly adverse to change and nobody likes taking risks. Overcome those and you are already better than most men.
Every man should aim to turn their work into something they don't HAVE to do, but into something they do because they want to get that extra step forward; and ideally, get some pleasure from doing that kind of work.
So the takeaway is this: Make sure you are working towards being materially/financially set for life and prioritize this over mastering Game.
