Great point. Just to clarify though: a woman doesn’t lust after you. She lusts after the way she will perceive herself with you. If women are AWALT and master hamsterwheelers it is never about you as an entity. It is always about her perception of herself.
Read Wealth of Nations. Adam Smith has a great section about workers and moderation. It’s a story as old as time. Cumulative gains win the day but you don’t have to be intelligent about efficiency of how those gains are achieved. If you want to be productive do one thing well a day. That’s it. The rest falls into place.
I would even go as far to say that men being hopeless romantics at times is an emergent property. Even with being raised by a decent mother. If you spend your life with challenges it is likely your antagonist idea will be a carefree life where you are loved unconditionally. The same could be said for women.
