We all know it. “She’s not yours, it’s just your turn.”

This is true, yes. The problem is that this phrase postures this situation as a loss to you; the man. The way we posture or frame phrases has the ability to affect our mental frame.

Something I’ve changed to this phrase, for my own posturing involves myself as the prize. If I really believe I’m the prize, is it simply “my turn” with her? NO. It’s her turn with ME.
