I would start with locking down a good therapist and go in weekly. Just tell them you have autism and want to work on social skills. This is your practice person. Once you feel comfortable, they'll suggest some ways to meet people that have common interests or goals. Eventually you get weaned off the therapist and rely on other people for socializing.
I won't lie, it's a long, hard road but if I can do it, anybody can. Start with the eyes, then the facial expressions, then the vocal tone, then language, and so on. I just have to write the conclusion and then my book is done. Using that book in combo with a practice person would shorten the path significantly. Most therapists don't understand how to explain things to autists because those things come naturally to them and they've never had to think about it. The book details it all like an autist's guide to the allocentric universe. I wish I had something like that when I first found out about my autism.

We've been overcoming it for 100,000 years. It was only in the 60s that it became a disorder and then more recently Aspergers syndrome got relabeled as autism. My father was a "quirky engineer type" and so was my grandfather. The difference nowadays is that the social stigma around autism in combination with the gynocentric social order, open hypergamy, and social zealotry puts us at the bottom of the SMV so we get guys like maxberger here asking these questions. A lot of the research cited in my book is from 2014-2021 so we're making the same kinds of breakthroughs that Rollo was able to make in The Rational Male. The difference is we're applying it to all non-autistic people, not just intrasex dynamics.

They have categories of high functioning and low functioning autism. The increase in autism is due to increased awareness leading to more diagnoses. We used to think it was rare but about 2-3% of the population has it and it's heavily concentrated in people with specific occupations like engineering and IT. What's interesting is you know we have low SMV so we go work on careers to increase our SMV that way. We're also naive so we marry post-wall THOTs who are looking for a naive beta. People think older women have more autistic kids than younger women(and they do) but it's because autistic men are the only option they have at age 35+. I think that's hilarious.
