Is there such a thing as being too focused on our purpose?
I work a full time career and I DJ on the side which is my passion. My LTR and I only really get to hang on weekends. Been grinding and some really good dj opportunities thrown my way.
Is using most of my weekends to dj and sometimes canceling dates to take a gig going negatively or positively impact my LTR?

Where do you want to see yourself in 5 years time? Will working on weekends help get you there or not?
If the answer is yes, then you absolutely should grind more to get where you want to be in life. If your LTR can't respect, then why even keep her around?
If the answer is no, then there's really no reason to, other than some little extra money (but you should always be wanting to have your money be scalable and not capped out at x-amount of hours).

Yeah I basically started off in a new market and establishing myself in the scene. The more I gig out the more it will help me get into higher profile spots.
DJing is a hobby that just happens to pay very well.

That's awesome, then I would suggest you really do chase your dreams and your passion.
If it ends up coming down to either picking your woman or picking your passion, I think you will know which one to pick.

positively

Why do you say it will have a positive effect?

independent, not relying on her, distance, opportunities with other girls, jealousy, missing you, etc
