I'm not going to lie, that vibe that some girls give off is a serious turn off.
At the same time, there is no way to know with certainty how they'll actually react once approached. You could be their exact type or they could be revulsed and just as bitchy as they looked.
I've asked girls to dance before (at dance venue) where I was 95% dead certain the girl was going to be an annoying bitch, just to see that we interact just fine

I agree with this guy. You never know unless you approach them. I've plated girls who had resting bitch faces, but were actually really sweet. Then I've had other girls brutally reject me, who looked like angels.
I've never approached a girl at the gym, though. My gym is full of these girls you've mentioned. Hot, make up on, tight yoga pants. They're just there for attention. Had one girl squatting in front of me with her ass cheeks hanging out. Of course, I couldn't resist to look, but she noticed me checking her out in the mirror. You might also be able to use charades. I've never tried it but it sounds fun, I might do it at some point if I'm feeling like being weird. If it works I will claim to have had temporary muteness because of an accident but I found them to be so cute I had to try ;D
