Summary : Suffer self discipline now, or suffer mediocrity later.
Sorry for my english, as It is not my native tongue.
Body:
Yesterday, I was walking down the streets doing stuff with some friends, and LTRs of them. One of this girl (upper-mid class white dumb girl) was walking her dog. This dog was going beltless, running all over the place, jumping people just being an obnoxius dog.
Everyone thought it was cute, I, being a pain in the ass, indicated that It lacked discipline, and that it was not longer a puppy to be behaving like that. I received an answer along this lines "Bla bla bla Clara doesn't bite and is a good gurl bla bla you should have some fun from time to time bla bla"
I smiled and kept walking knowing that times always punch you in the face with reality. I didn't know though, this time around, reality would have been shove up her ass so soon.
15 minutes later, we are stopping at a green light, the dogs start running around while this girl tries to scold it. The dog doesn't give a fuck and keep running around, into people, into the streets.
Straight into a Bus, straight in into its death.
I'm not a Fan of animals getting killed because stupid owners, but I hope she and everyone in the group learned the lesson.
It wasn't the dog fault, but "Clara" paid the maximum price of lacking discipline. People doesn't realize that lacking discipline will cost you way more down the line than the little burden of having daily self-restrictions. Maybe, because brutal examples like this one are rare and sometimes difficult to grasp to the untrained mind.
Keving who smokes pot everyday, gets black out drank every saturday night, has a 1.4 GPA and owes 20k to the bank won't get killed in a sword duel for lacking training. He will suffer depression, bankrupt, obesity and a dead-end low paying job 15 years from now, and due to lack of time correlation he won't notice it was his fault.
Then, he will point fingers and blame the Goverment, the baby-boomer generation, capitalism, white guys (or inmigrants), the elite, sociopath bosses etc.
You will suffer sooner or later. Suffer now, under your terms, while gaining a lot of good things from it. Suffer going to the gym every day, suffer having a restricted diet, suffer waking up at 7 am to study 6-8 hours everyday, suffer going for a hard and profitable degree, suffer going sexless months at the time if that means having more time to kill it at college or a start-up (or both).
And you won't suffer mediocrity 10 years from now, that is by far, the most soul crushing pain you will experience.
Lsegundo 7y ago
That is very sad for the dog and everyone that had to see it.
This is just another negative result of the feminuts drilling it into women's heads that a man should NEVER EVER be listened to or respected.
Imagine instead the chic listened to what marplaneit said, considered he just might be right instead of out right rejecting it because a man said it, and put the dog on a leash (if she had one).
She could be training the dog right now instead of having a horrible memory about her needlessly lost pet.
marplaneit 7y ago
It was really sad. That's the thing! Also this applies to self-discipline and discipline to kids. You may feel bad punishing your pet or son for bad behavior, but you are doing them a favor.

“We must all suffer from one of two pains: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret. The difference is discipline weighs ounces while regret weighs tons.” – Jim Rohn
MattyAnon Admin 7y ago
haha you know that she didn't learn a god damned thing, right?
She probably blames you for upsetting the dog, which then went on to kill itself to try to escape from your patriarchal oppression of its freedom, you animal hating shitlord, why can't you just have fun?
vagbutters 7y ago
She'll literally use the occasion to instawhore or facebook "mourn" for attention/status, as most basic bitches do. She won't learn a god-damn thing between loser orbiters throwing her pity "compliments," and other slutlets "consoling" her.

Great point, very succinct. Or, as the samurai would say:

Not only 'self-love', but love (kindness/positivity) for others. Do good things for yourself and for others. Appreciate yourself in the world with those around you.

Pick up trades. You'd be surpassed but towing cars pay lot more than mcdonalds. If you have a driver's licence and your own truck, get on that shit.

@marplaneit "Keving who smokes pot everyday, gets black out drank every saturday night..won't get killed in a sword duel for lacking training. He will suffer depression, bankrupt, obesity..."
I love that sword duel analogy

Well, the dog thing isn't the best example,as it implies that someone else must discipline you(i.e Clara should have disciplined the dog). But yeah i agree on some deegre.
Although i have to point out, that life should not look like a motivational video. You don't need instrumental music, with stallone shouting in the backround while you go hard at the gym or study for 12 hours straight.
Discipline is about choices.Smart choices. It doesn't have to be hard,it just has to be conistent. You don't need to sacrifice shit.Life is not that serious.
The 'no pain no gain' people are the ones that burn out. They have this intense mentallity of 'die trying or go home'.It is poetic, but you need to chill.
No need to suffer.Life will take care of that anyway at one point.
Yes go to the gym.You are lifting weights, not fighting a war.Just lift and go home.
Yes study.Studying is not hard.Working at a construction sight is hard.Just read until you learn the subject.
Yes have a good diet.A restricted diet? What does that even mean?
Sexless for months? Why?Are you a CEO or some shit and you don't have half an hour to fuck?
In order to avoid mediocracy, you just have to just a little more from the average guy.You are already in the right path if you are reading this forum. But again don't take this shit too seriously.
Work a bit, read a bit, self improve a bit and have a relaxed and smart outlook on life. You will do just fine.Everything else will fall into place.
PawnToKing 7y ago
Such a nuanced opinion. You're so right.
theONE843663 7y ago
OP means the girl lacks the discipline to train the damn dog and cuz of that, it dieded.
massivewang 7y ago
Don't know why you got down voted.
I think you're right in that most "suffering" is just consistency.
Going to the gym for an hour three to five times a week, a meal plan, frugality, etc. All of these things aren't difficult, they just require consistent effort over a long period of time.
I think it's better to highlight the correlation between sacrificing and suffering. If you're not willing to sacrifice comfort/convenience/etc to be fit, financially stable and so on, you will suffer.
Katavasis 7y ago
Well,i got downvoted, because i didn't make an emotional comment,in order to make them feel good.People HATE when you remind them that they are not special. But it's all good.I understand what enthusiasm and 'vibrado' for life is.
However i am glad that some people get my comment.Around 20% gets it ;)
amekooky 7y ago
couldn't agree more. but also OP may have not expressed what he truly meant correctly due to language barrier as he mentioned.
Katavasis 7y ago
Yes of course and i can repsect this.

You are in Med school and you have side buisiness? So what are you doing in Med school anyway?Being a doctor is about helping people. If you choose this career path to make money, you screwed up.
You are a gym rat, lifting some weights. You want to make it seem like it's a big deal. And you are following macros? Are you a male model or an athlete that wants to stay in a certain weight class? If not what the fuck are you doing buddy?
Elon Musk lived in a frat house with 10 other dude, fucking every night.Mark Cuban bought a bar and blacked out every night.
Please, get off your ass.You are not special. Also you took the 'everything will fall into place' out of context.I said smart choices and consistency. And everything will fall into place. It's not easy to suceed.Of course it's not.I am saying that you should not take life too seriously. That doesn't mean not giving 100%(whatever that even means).
Just return watching Tai Lopez....

This sub is full of preachy, inexperienced 20-somethings who should shut up & listen to those who have more experience.
amekooky 7y ago
agreed, OP builds himself to be much more important than he actually is, very egocentric.. theres a difference between not giving a fk and having a silly ego problem.. the OP needs to study TRP theories before posting threads..
Katavasis 7y ago
Yeeah ok.That's enought back and forth.I've made my point. You are clearly too emotional to debate properly .Have a good one and i hope you achieve your goals!

Ive been smoking weed everyday for 1.5 years. This year, i started an online psychedelic clothing store because i got the idea off my stoned ass mind, and sold it to a uk investor in May. I sold it to start a social arts enterprise that soft launched in Sept and will official launch in Nov.
Still waiting for weed to shove up my ass. Havent yet though, so thoroughly enjoying it!
stawek 7y ago
Imagine how much more you could have achieved if you weren't a junkie.
marplaneit 7y ago
Yeah, I dont see the correlation between weed and improving. That you achieved something while being stoned everyday doesn't mean weed is helping you. If you want to rationalize your psicological addiction for weed go ahead and tell yourself whatever you want
trippydations 7y ago
Thats the thing. I don't want to "rationalize my addiction for weed". i actually believe in what I said and trust me, Ive given much though. However, I do know that this is just a phase, and that one day I'll have to stop.
Expectations1 7y ago
You need to essentially moderate dopamine release to its bare minimum. Dont masturbate just for boredom, dont eat those stupid cakes in the office just because everyone else is, dont drink alcohol unless its with friends you want to build relationships with etc.
[deleted] 7y ago
[deleted]
Expectations1 7y ago
Please learn to read. I said moderate dopamine release, not cut it out entirely, if you want to fap profusely to internet porn day after day, go ahead. And like Op said you will suffer sooner or later.
tallwheel 7y ago
Yep. Fuck these losers with so little self-control, they can't even fap without letting it "ruin" their lives. Hahaha.
theONE843663 7y ago
He's saying don't fap to get rid of boredom. You can do that by playing video games and you'll soon get horny from looking at video game titties then you can go masturbate cuz you're horny and not just bored.
vagbutters 7y ago
Found the overweight/scrawny idiot with no self control.
gtypoDD22 7y ago
You got it backwards son; i've never met a strong normal guy who subscribes to no-fap.
vagbutters 7y ago
I don't reddit much outside of this subreddit, so I get what you're saying, but most healthy men do not fap on a regular basis because they can actually get laid at the end of the week.
[deleted] 7y ago
Actually I find the example with the dead dog quite sufficient for this subject. As I read it, the author makes a line between being lazy and not giving a dman about training the dog - and the dog dead - and all other aspects of life where you either do something to improve things, or just lay back and follow the easy and convenient path. To a mediocre life. This dog could have been alive if the owner had either showed some responsibillity or had trained the dog not to run out on the street. And the comparison to that persons life in general may be that she doesn't give a fuck about anything and chooses the easy path where it fits.
Betterthanuatlife 7y ago
Almost all of my friends remind me of that Kevin character. Quick to point their fingers against the school system, immigranys, etc when the only people they can blame is themselves. Thank God I ditched those losers. They were dragging me down with them.
voomer53 7y ago
Anyone here surprised that a woman had no idea about discipline?
MacMasterMatt 7y ago
God, the universe, random chance, Marplaneit, or whatever cosmic force showed me this thread. Thank you. I've been in a rut/depression for a month. Failing all my classes, eating like shit and generally just being a gigantic pussy about life. Thanks for waking me up.
[deleted] 7y ago
I was there once, thirty pounds overweight playing WoW in my dorm room alone. Took hitting rock bottom to wake up. Start focusing on small improvements, make your bed, wash your floor, do 20 situps, etc. Habits become you. Stay focused and stay diligent and you'll be jacked and banging hotties in no time.
TehJimmyy 7y ago
lacking discipline will cost you way more down the line than the little burden of having daily self-restrictions
thank you
SickeningPiss 7y ago
Currently suffering going gym everyday and studying hard getting good grades whilst everyone is parting and fucking hoes whilst on the gear. I agree with what op says, but usually once or twice a year i get blackout drunk with the lads go on a bender and hook up with all these stuck up hoes. Its good to suffer for future benefits but you also need some time to let loose otherwise you'll go crazy. Moderation is key. Its also good to leave the house and socialise sometimes, being locked in all day makes me go mad haha.
vagbutters 7y ago
Moderation is absolutely key-- I chill with friends every week, but I keep it casual with respect to what foods I eat (nothing too extreme), and what activities I do (usually outdoor shit or something fun).
Most guys these days use crutches like food to avoid suffering the pain involved in bettering their physique. This ends up hurting them much more when they can't sleep with the women they want to sleep with because they get ignored due to their shitty SMV. They end up in mediocre blue-collar or low-end white-collar jobs because they never applied themselves in school, or show shitty work ethic in general. Your average beta male these days just wants it easy all day, every day- junk food, porn, week, and drugs-- the opiates of modern beta.
tallwheel 7y ago
Only once or twice a year? Working out and improving yourself doesn't mean you shouldn't party and have a good time too? Why even bother being swole if you can't fuck hoes?
SickeningPiss 7y ago
I go out most couple weekends but i don't drink. Only once or twice a year will i go on a bender and get fucked up for a couple days. I still fuck hoes and approach though.
Lsegundo 7y ago
Good job working so hard. Do not neglect the networking aspect of college. Meeting the right people now will help you after graduation.
SickeningPiss 7y ago
I agree 100% the amount of connection i have and study groups that i have formed from these uni events is crazy. Always good to get notes and have people to do essays with it really helps as sometimes other people have good ideas you missed out on.
[deleted] 7y ago
the opportunity cost in college is outstanding. do you wanna party and get shitty grades or maintain discipline and succeed? at the very least, weekdays should be focused on school
OBasileus 7y ago
I go to a really fratty university. The amount of undergrads I predict making shitty wages in 10 years because they go out all the time is staggering. And their hyper aggressive personalities are good for getting laid, but won't help them in their professional lives unless they smarten up, if they even get that far.
Then again, I know some absolute champs who go out like crazy, have good grades, and great social skills. This is an ideal to me, but if something has to go, then it's gotta be the social life. Fun doesn't stop after college. In fact, if you aren't top dog in college, you're stuck in some lower order of a hierarchy -- your position in society is much more fluid afterwards.
SickeningPiss 7y ago
If you study 6 hours a day and lift 2 hours a day, that gives you 4 hours to socialise. I don't say drink every weekday or weekend only when you're on holidays or have free time to get loose.
redbluepilling 7y ago
You know, you can still fuck hoes on gear while getting 'good grades'? Btw, good grades aren't the end-all-be-all of real
liftlife experience. Rather, one could argue the opposite.SickeningPiss 7y ago
You're right bro! I'm spending the summer on gear fucking hoes i'm taking a 3month break so its fits in perfect haha
redbluepilling 7y ago
Enjoy it, and really reflect on the subtle differences. Unfortunately, with gradual change, the present seems normal, but try to put it in perspective and appreciate it.
[deleted] 7y ago
On the gear? You mean your college friends are taking heroin? WTF?
rot_barth 7y ago
Gear means steroids in this context.
TimeNdevotion 7y ago
Oh - well, that IS a bit of a difference hahahah

marplaneit 7y ago
Yep. I may actually edit and add this. Everyone is human and you cannot go years the monk way without burning out. Going out and having some fun especially after some milestone is hit it will actually help.

Nice I didn't know this, but I've been doing it for years now! Gimme check it out.
SickeningPiss 7y ago
If you spent 6 months studying hard when you finally finish the semester, spend a week away from home kicking back and relaxing. I have the wine ready for when i finish exams or assignments. Op sounds like you're a smart guy i'm sure you will be successful just don't miss out on your youth you will regret it later. I'm all for studying and achieving goals but sometimes when you socialise you meet important connections which can help you later on if need be. Keep smashing it brother!!
Newbosterone 7y ago
Google "Stanford Delayed Gratification Study". The strongest correlation a study of young kids found for future success was not eating a marshmallow placed In front of them.
[deleted] 7y ago
A single studies understates the importance of patience. Patience has passed all the bullshit test.

[deleted] 7y ago
How do you hook up so easily with them? I go out and get drunk and can't seem to do it.
SickeningPiss 7y ago
You need to go around and talk to everyone be social. Girls like the social guy. Low tone, confident guy who looks like his worth a million bucks and knows it. Dont buy girls drinks ever, you become a provider seen this happen too many times. If the girl wants to hook up she will either say i'm going to dance come with me or i'm going outside to smoke lets go there. You can initiate this aswell and see if she follows. Touching is very important. Have your drink low if your next to them, see if you can get there tit to rest on your arm without them saying something. Move slowly though , as yoy whisper in there ear if they move there head away its a no go. Have good eye contact. But make sure you dont stare and not blink be human. You have to look the part too nice hair, fitted clothes moisturizer on haha. It get eaiser once these thinks come your habits. Sometimes you might not get a hook up, its happens to the best of us good have fun with the lads and shit happens. I go clubbing with alot of girls and guys i know its, harder if you go drinking where you dont know anyone, if your 8/10 + you might be fine any less you look like a creep haha.
[deleted] 7y ago
I've been complimented on my hair (I have a pompador) but my sides are medium length, should I cut them? What hairstyle are you rocking?
Most of the time I hit the club its with guys but I am trying to get more girls involved. Btw I'm at uni.
SickeningPiss 7y ago
I'm rocking a similar hair style only i get a line through the top side. Sometimes i get lines or waves on the side aswell. I have my sides short though. Try getting a line on top they look pretty mint. Most soccer players have a hairstyle like that. I'm wog some maybe it just suits me. Uni events are good to go too, they have cruises or rent out clubs where you will meet alot of girls. Even the uni bar is sometimes fun. Pre drink with people on campus and hit the uni bar its hilarious haha
SickeningPiss 7y ago
If you're getting compliments from girls on your hair you must be doing something right. A nice cologne is also good. Nothing better than having pussy wet over the easiest things like nice hair and smelling good lol
[deleted] 7y ago
Everyone should visualise Ivan Drago is the person delivering the words in the post
SoulRedemption 7y ago
I read a few comments and thought I'd add my two cents, for those who care. It seems alot of people are giving opinion on whether they agree, or disagree, get into a debate about it, and op getting pulled into it, talking about egos, some saying to read the side bar, talking about the inexperienced and what not. I enjoyed the post. And the replies to the post reminded me how learning to hold frame shifts drastically how you are perceived, and holding frame (not limited to) is a constant process of learning and applying.
Edit:spelling
marplaneit 7y ago
Yeah, that's what my conclucions were heading. I lost frame to pompous comments...
