23%. This is what you get after 2 decades of political indoctrination in schools. People think a quarter of every woman is munching carpet. A QUARTER OF ALL WOMEN.

Now let me remind you that, according to the Kinsey report, there are as much Asexuals as there are every other sexual deviant. So, that would potentially mean half the women are deviant.

Also, the Kinsey report states a 10% MAX of gays, on either gender.

[-] Imperator_Red 34 Points 3 months ago

Kinsey is also garbage. If you do a survey on sexual practices in the 1950s, you’re going to get an overrepresentation of people with sexual deviancy who want to participate. Average Joe who works in the factory with a wife and three kids wants nothing to do with you.

[-] MoDuReddit 7 Points 3 months ago

You're right. Even his number's have to be regarded as the absolute max on the error bar.

[-] Imperator_Red 7 Points 3 months ago

No, an "error bar" is the statistical confidence interval of your results based on the size of your sample size and some other factors. If the entire sample is biased in the first place then any results and confidence intervals are invalid.

For example if you look at historical standardized test scores for a given high school, you might say "based on past results we predict our school's average test score will be at the 60th percentile, with a 95% confidence interval of 55th to 65th percentile."

If you only looked at the AP classes though, and said you predict 80th percentile with a confidence interval of 75th percentile to 85th percentile, that error bar is worthless for predicting the general student body's performance.

[-] MoDuReddit 5 Points 3 months ago

I stand corrected. Still, to my knowledge, it's the best data source on the subject we got.

[-] menial_optimist 18 Points 3 months ago

Pretty soon it will be looked down upon if the girl is not at least bisexual. Then naturally it will form into "You're not a lesbian? Wow, get with the times". Maybe that's the goal in the end, to reduce population growth by increasing same sex tendencies.

[-] MoDuReddit 19 Points 3 months ago

Nah, I've seen those "lesbians". When they turn 35, oh boy are they straight and looking for a baby daddy.

[-] i_the_throwaway_86 4 Points 3 months ago

I've seen something similar at my work.

I was shocked to find out one was a lesbian or at least, bi, as this person constantly goes out of their way to talk to me, sit next to me, and flirt, etc. (Keep in mind this is the hottest woman at a company of 850, but I don't date at work)

The other day I was on the heavy bag, and for no reason, she came in and sat the big yellow exercise ball like right next to the bag and stood facing me like a weirdo. I ignored her to keep from accidentally hitting her (would be a great thing to explain, can you imagine?) So some work buddies and I get to talking about her on lunch. One buddy said she definitely liked me, and another said no she's lesbian and has a gf. I said bullshit, checked her Intsa and yep! At a pride event with her gf on her shoulders.

Also, a totally separate woman who was in an LTR with a woman WITH KIDS hugged me and patted my ass our xmas party. (It was early, she wasn't drunk)

Totally normal lesbian behavior.

Bet you can't guess the conclusion I draw: They'd been with too many bitch boys.

[-] SteveLorde 16 Points 3 months ago

It's not... it's a brainwashing method to weaken country's men.

[-] Your_Coke_Dealer 6 Points 3 months ago

The 23% figure probably counts LUGs; you know, those women who date other women for attention and/or to piss off parents...until they need resources and date men again

[-] max_peenor 1 Point 3 months ago

In fairness, I know a lot of women that identify as straight but have no problem fondling boobs or tickling tuna in the right setting. Who can't like boobs, right? They will never say they are gay. Most will avoid admitting to being bi. Many will say they have experimented, even if the duration and frequency of the experiments seem to indicate a long term trend.

The real lesson here isn't that many women will touch pussy. It's that their self identity is as eternally moldable to whatever suits a particular situation. Some nights, tuna puncher fits the bill.

[-] MentORPHEUS 21 Points 3 months ago

Over the decades, most scholarly discussions I've seen estimate an upper bound of 8-10%. I've never seen estimates over 20%, perhaps because of discounting sources that are obviously biased for or against LGBT interests.

Food for thought: One of TRP's ironclad maxims is: Sexual attraction cannot be negotiated. In light of this, what level of exposure, depiction, or "normalization" of gayness does anyone think will incentivize people to "decide" to be gay?

[-] PhonyAndroid 8 Points 3 months ago

Personally the only thing that really bothers me is how completely incorporated it's become into some peoples identity, and how very young children are now questioning their sexuality.

I wouldn't really care if 25% of people actually were gay, because it doesn't really affect me at all. If a bunch of actually heterosexual adults want to think they are gay or trans, let them.

I don't think it has anything to do with the level of exposure. It's more about how it's depicted. Far too many people put value into their sexuality, and in movies etc. their homosexuality is often viewed as central for their personalities. Not to mention identity politics making it worse.

Stop putting so much value and emphasis on peoples sexuality and the "trend" will die down as well.

[-] Proto_Sigma 4 Points 3 months ago

The formation of fetishes during early adolescence could potential increase the number of gays if otherwise heterosexual individuals are exposed to homoerotic stimuli and begin to associate said stimuli with their sexuality. The sexualization of anthropomorphic cartoon characters led to the emergence of the ‘furry’ phenomena for similar reasons.

So, yes, I would expect the LGBT’s share of the population to increase, although the magnitude of the increase is difficult to predict.

I post this in relation to my other post: Removing Power From Men : Mom Says 6-Year-Old Son Is Transgender. Dad Disagrees. Now He Might Lose His Son.

This is evidence that media has been doing their job to normalize in the extreme LGBT behaviors. With extreme over-representation, young, impressional minds are apt to emulate the behaviors they see on tv.

Whether or not this primarily to confuse the next generation, it has certainly helped change the minds of family-court judges who rule that it is child abuse not to indulge your children in these behaviors.

The overestimation may also reflect prominent media portrayals of gay characters on television and in movies, even as far back as 2002, and perhaps the high visibility of activists who have pushed gay causes, particularly legalizing same-sex marriage.

[-] smartguy360 1 Point 3 months ago

i read about that story recently if he were my kid i'd have to be restrained from not hurting her

[-] thubtop 14 Points 3 months ago

it was ok in the 80s and 90s to send the message that there is really no justification to harm gays or TG people. but it was overlooked how stupid people are ...

more than half of the men have at least one homosexual experience in life. fewer do so regularly, while being usually married. very few do that quite frequently, maybe even predominantly. extremely few want to marry another man and play family.

now the tiniest group of a deviant behavior which humanists just wanted to free from injustice, seem to become the one big measure for people whether one is "liberal" or "nazi". stupidity at its best.

LGBT people are deviant. one should not harm them. one should not pretend it is normal, because it is not. gays are very often quite strange people to most others; TG are mentally sick, on a scale between light narcissism and dealing with some severe trauma that leads to compulsive behavior. acknowledging the facts would be more humanist than simply shouting down everybody who does not express positive excitement.

[-] Platos_slow_brother 50 Points 3 months ago

cough bullshit statistic cough

[-] MoDuReddit 30 Points 3 months ago

Yeah, I see it everyday, men taking a big fat black cock up their arses, it's a natural part of a hetero man.

Someone is clearly projecting to make up for their unassumed latent homosexuality.

[-] zyqkvx 7 Points 3 months ago

I took a big thick black cock up my ass but only once. I guess I'm part of the 50%. No big deal.

[-] thubtop -1 Point 3 months ago

kinsey report 70s.

[-] Imperator_Red 29 Points 3 months ago

Where are you getting that over half of men have a homosexual experience? That’s absolutely absurd.

[-] [deleted] 3 months ago
[-] thubtop -5 Point 3 months ago

i never say anything that is not true. this is well-established since the "kinsey-report".

[-] Imperator_Red 23 Points 3 months ago

Kinsey report is a joke dude. Who is going to agree to participate in a survey of sexual practices in the 1950s..... sexual deviants. Normal people want nothing to do with it. It's obvious sampling bias.

[-] thubtop -3 Point 3 months ago

a scientific report obeys certain quality standards. kinsey was a scientific report. i did not read such critique in sexology. however, i do not want to go back to that nowadays. it is not my main interest.

[-] Imperator_Red 13 Points 3 months ago

a scientific report obeys certain quality standards.

Yea... a good one does. I'm saying it's not a good one. Kinsey is nothing more than a collection of anecdotes from sexual deviants that he scoured society for.

[-] thubtop -1 Point 3 months ago

it is long ago that i read this stuff. they were asking many people. whatever, i do not mind. on a personal note, if you dig a bit, you would be surprised what is happening below the surface ...

[-] Imperator_Red 14 Points 3 months ago

Your posts are unintelligible. I won't be conversing with you anymore.

[-] MoDuReddit 5 Points 3 months ago

I've actually read the report: it was years ago, but I don't remember anything like that. Would mind pointing to the section you're referring?

[-] thubtop -2 Point 3 months ago

i am sorry, i investigated that many years ago. i don't have this at hand.

[-] PhonyAndroid 4 Points 3 months ago

more than half of the men have at least one homosexual experience in life

What do they define as a "homosexual experience?"

[-] exit_sandman 3 Points 3 months ago

That's a very good question.

If they count teenage boys jerking off themselves (not each other) to porn (or as a part of some pubescent game) while at the same place, yeah, then I can see how they got to 50%. Wouldn't exactly count that as a homosexual experience, though.

But if only actual homosexual acts count (jerking each other off or whatever), then I doubt we'd get 50%.

[-] thubtop 2 Points 3 months ago

i am surprised why this fact attracts so much attention. it is not that surprising that boys and yound men and maybe elder men like to play with their willy and maybe other willies in various ways.

what this tells us is more important: there is a scale between playing with willies and being a very rare occurrence of a man wishing to "marry" a man and sit with him in their common livingroom (usually surrounded by an art collection).

it is not justified to make this extremely rare specialty of people such a big story. just because 50 years ago, lying naked together was frowned upon. i don't care who lies with whom in bed, but i don't think this deserves so much attention by the public.

[-] PhonyAndroid 8 Points 3 months ago

As I said, what do they define as a homosexual experience?

I’m not offended by the stats if they are real, but I’m not stupid enough to believe every claim put forth either. The 1/4 has been sexually harassed metric cane from a massively overextended definition

[-] thubtop 0 Points 3 months ago

lmgtfy:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kinsey_Reports

that was really not my point. i simply mentioned what is factual. if you don't believe, go to the library and get the book. one can usually get books also online, if one knows where to look for it.

[-] PhonyAndroid 5 Points 3 months ago

Or you could just have admitted that you don't know, could you? I'm not obligated to find evidence for your statements.

It's fine to admit that you don't know. It's not fine to run around in circles to avoid answering the question.

[-] thubtop 1 Point 3 months ago

you are like a spirit waiting in ambush to annoy a poster on some detail of his text. i wrote something completely different. what you try to fixate us on now i read some time ago when researching the topic. at this moment, i am not in my library, but abroad; i am no longer doing that; this is not a scientific paper, this is reddit. you can read what i said even on wikipedia. so stop annoying me.

You’re not wrong in your premise you just read the article headline and went running off from there.

The article and headline states Americans think 23% of the American population is gay. Self reported numbers are holding steady at ~4%.

Its the gap between 4% actual and 23% perception that is being brought to light here.

[-] [deleted] 3 months ago
[-] -uftw- 11 Points 3 months ago

I had seen a UK survey about 10 years ago that gave a 1 to 1.5% gay estimate in the total population. If you include bisexuals, the 3.8% figure is plausible.

Now of course gays live in gay ghettos in big cities so it's not a surprise that they tend to overestimate their numbers.

BTW, now who's gonna talk about the over-representation of gays in fashion & TV & entertainment in general? lol that'll be the day.

[-] Nocryingok 8 Points 3 months ago

Who on earth believes 23% of people are gay? Jesus christ, some of them are living inside of a queer bubble

[-] PhonyAndroid 1 Point 3 months ago

Eh, might aswell be tradtards who lives on a farm somewhere, who only gets their news from Fox and think the world is sliding into some homosexual dystopia.

[-] Imperator_Red 10 Points 3 months ago

Just can't help yourself, can you?

[-] PhonyAndroid 4 Points 3 months ago

For believing that people in general are a bunch of retards, not just the SJWs?

[-] [deleted] 3 months ago
[-] zyqkvx 4 Points 3 months ago

Though I believe gay % is overestimated I'm pretty sure it's higher that 4%. The survey is based on self reporting. There are so many gays that are not out of the closet. There are so many incels that would consider gay sex because they see their own body and think that's their fate. There are so many that are being brainwashed by tv to embrace gayness so theres going to be people being gay than stop being gay when they get older. There's so many asexual people or people that are completely off the market that are answering they are straight. So it's complex.

That all said there's definitely a perception that gayness is way bigger than it is. There are so many weak people that are faggy, but not technically gay. These faggy people are why the 23% figure is perceived.

edit: I read what i wrote and am backtracking. I just can't figure this out. As someone who lives in California I see a lot of faggy and emasculated men, most of who I don't think are truely gay. It seems like they believe being effeminate and gay-like is cool. I think I'm too straight to even understand so I say weird shit.

[-] Imperator_Red 15 Points 3 months ago

On the contrary, if anything we probably have an oversampling of homosexuals in these studies. It’s like the yelp effect. How often do you feel like writing a positive review for a place? Almost never. You want to go on yelp and write a review when you’re angry. Similiarly, the average person doesn’t care much to participate in a survey like this, but if you are gay you will eagerly want to participate because it is a subject of great interest to you. Also this number includes every girl who feels she’s 10% lesbian because she made out with some chicks in college.

[-] Metalgear222 12 Points 3 months ago

Nah that’s dumb. Gay people get privileges for letting the world know they’re gay. Also you have to understand these statistics are so far off from the truth. Even 4 percent is entirely too high. If you approach 100 people on the street randomly, you think 4 are gay? Not even close. You know how long it would take you to find even 1 or 2?

[-] [deleted] 7 Points 3 months ago

I think that really strongly depends on where you are. Hard to get a good heuristic, and the data sucks.

[-] SalporinRP 3 Points 3 months ago

San Francisco or NY? Most certainly you could find 4 gay people out of 100.

A normal suburban town? Probably not.

[-] exit_sandman 1 Point 3 months ago

Nah that’s dumb. Gay people get privileges for letting the world know they’re gay.

This strongly depends on your environment. If you're on some stupid campus with free-range SJWs, yeah, being gay puts you in the minority camp and therefore nets you brownie points. Being in a rural conservative area however probably doesn't.

[-] adminsaregayniggers 3 Points 3 months ago

[-] Rinrinrin88 2 Points 3 months ago

I'm a gay guy and I swear to you the number is probably more like 2% it's just that a lot of young women who have made out with their friends at parties like to call themselves "bi" and inflate the stats.

[-] [deleted] 3 months ago
[-] RedPillHanSolo 1 Point 3 months ago

I'm not from the USA, but am pretty biased by what I hear and read, so if I was asked, I'd estimate a 15% at minimum. Propaganda machine is working well.

[-] SKRedPill 1 Point 3 months ago

Believe me, if google news and the media is to be believed, I'd have assumed that at least 50% or more of the population and their bodies have nothing in common. I would have even started thinking that straight is just another "stereotype" (damn that word!!).

All that's left is for a man to start thinking and feeling he's really a horse. I wonder when're they going to legalize that, claim that species is a social construct, and break that stereotype!

Good thing horses can't write articles for the newspapers....
