Summary: I decided to post this as a simple lesson that I was reminded of by a post (which I did not read) called "Words Don't Matter." Feel free to let your attention wander because this should be fucking obvious to everybody. The basic premise is that, combined with a strong frame and good acting skills, words can be used to accomplish pretty much anything.
Body: Here it is again—Words are free. Words are free. Think about this for a second, right...everything has a cost and we're constantly up against ourselves and other people to get this or do that. We all have an agenda we're trying to follow. What if there was a way to accomplish what you seek in the fastest, most efficient way possible?^(1) That's right Robert Greene, this is where words come into play.
Let's take a bit of a detour first...The fastest way to learn & achieve is to have someone else do the legwork for you. Plain and simple. This could be:
- Reading good pieces of literature, like:
- Classics (lifetime of experience in a memorable story) and
- redpill nonfiction^2 (utter bullshit that doesn't actually work you asshole)^(oh god yes fuck me daddy)
- Generations of experience being passed from father to son
- Finding helpful guides on youtube & google
- Lurking and discussing good threads and comments on reddit
- Manipulating a person into doing something
- Lying to someone
Let's be honest, people do the last two constantly and this is one of the easiest most efficient ways to be Machiavellian in everyday life. Customer service reps giving you the easy answer to avoid hassle for themselves. People claiming they will do this or that, only because they can get away with something else when your back is turned. Etc. I really don't need to continue this list.
Hopefully you realize why this is important to understand—words are a tool people use to get things. I could explain further but really there's no point, this post has gone on far too long...so I'll just say this:
Every time a person speaks to you, remember WORDS. ARE. FREE. Think about how they are being used and plan accordingly
If you like being ass-fucked at every turn by old ladies running the same bookstore for 20 years who know exactly what they're doing/how to rip you off, please continue to take words at face-value. Really, you're doing everyone else a favor.
Conclusion: I try not to post or comment unless I have something meaningful to say, so hopefully the keyphrase 'Words are free' will help someone. Please discuss and give deconstructive feedback. I find that if I keep this keyphrase in the back pocket of my frame, it helps me get the best out of every interaction. Because, really, everything is sales, which is accomplished with words and frame.
- Hold frame
- Words are free
- Always remember to check for ulterior motives
- lifting is probably more important than any of this
Edit: I may have inadvertently made it sound like I'm advocating lying to get what you want. I'm not—you can do with this what you will. The intent is explain the subconscious reasoning behind why people do this, and I would firstly recommend you use this knowledge to prevent yourself from being taken advantage of. If you want to get a little more...aggressive...with how language is used, read up on sales.
Footnotes:
^1 I'm not advertising free lunches and it's hard work getting to the point where this works for, not against, you.
^2 Doesn't have to be 'redpill'...Good nonfiction is good nonfiction.

There is a great Greek saying that holds very true for every day use.
It goes like this: from what you hear do not believe anything, from what you see ,belive half of that
INNASKILLZ2K18 5y ago
Yeah, I never believe shit people say in the first few meets. Hell, even after a while I don't believe them.
It's one thing I've learnt from being on this earth for a while. People talk utter shit. Normally it's an image or idea of themselves they want me to believe. Normally they do it unconsciously. Very few have any real self awareness, so what they say is like a sales pitch for a book, without knowing the words within.
It's crazy to be a very intuitive person, to be able to watch someone's behaviour and words and put it all 'together'. After they stop talking whatever shit, to be able to say 'you know what, I actually think you're like this...'.
Stops some people in their tracks - 'how the fuck did you know that about me'?
Simple, you're talking shit with cheap words. Tip of the iceberg. Look below the ocean. With women, show her you can be the authority of her world.
Most beta's are too busy falling in love with the princess persona to see past words.

Everyone I’ve ever met ends up being quite different than they are in the first couple exchanges. Even after a few exchanges, many are very resistant to giving anything below surface level

Yeah, it's an interesting thing. I think a lot of the time, people lack self awareness. Not many people ever go through a process of introspection.
As a result, many are still in unconscious approval seeking behaviour. What they say, is based around seeking acceptance. Many aren't aware of who they truly are, or the things that have built them.
Hence, much becomes incongruent. Trouble is, there are too many willing to take them on face value.

I think you nailed it right there. I have met a few people that are at least aware they are in approval seeking behavior or at least see it during or after... I think that awareness is the first step

For sure. It's subconscious patterns and survival instinct from childhood.
Takes work to undo it. Which is why a guy who at least has semblance of ngaf is attractive.
Children vie for approval to survive. Betas are stuck in a childish pattern. Women are five year olds...so the more she sees you DON'T give a fuck about her approval, she sees you're an adult. Children need adults.
I'm going off point to the OP, and this is just my theories. But it is interesting to look at WHY people say what they do.

If you spend too much of those "free" words, people will realize your'e untrustworthy.

Totally missed the point. It applies to everyone and how you observe others just as much as your own action. Plenty of words can be used in non-deceptive ways to accomplish your goals. Everyone knows sales is manipulative but it's commonly accepted as consensual because it's a transaction.

I agree with this post.
I've personally formed a worldview that basically states we're not an advanced society at all. Instead, the world is some freak production of 'The Emperor Has No Clothes', as performed by an entire planet of LARPers, who instead of pretending they're medieval knights, they're pretending they're productive members of that advanced society.
There is that old token of wisdom, 'Don't hate the player, hate the game', but what happens to those people out there who are the NPCs in the grand scheme of things? If words are free, those free words are the currency of those people.

That was my post, everyone seemed to love it /s

A few proverbs and sayings being thrown around here, I want to play too. Here is my one:
"You better recognise the game"
A modern term usually used in warning to inform the ignorant that they are being manipulated, or that they are blind to a world of deceit happening under their noses.
The Red Pill is basically a manual exposing the inner workings of the "game" of deceit and manipulation. Words are absolutely worthless, people will twist and contort words into whatever is advantageous to them, place very little value in words. Action reveals true intentions, pay attention to what is done and never to what is said.

The amount of shit you can get away with if you're jacked is insane. Same goes for words that come outta your mouth.
