It has been proved that our behavior is connected both to our inside (genes) and outside ( culture, beliefs, upbringing). If some behavioral trait used to be successful for our ancestors, it would always become part of our identity and shape our future generations. In this case there is no right/wrong morality there is only effective/not effective.

Main reason women tend to be less altruistic and don’t sacrifice themselves is because WOMEN DON’T LOOSE WARS. Think about it. There is a reason why usually it’s men who are going to war, it’s men who are sacrificing their lives to protect their women and children. In our culture we call it altruism but that is not 100% accurate. Of course it takes a lot to risk your life for someone else but you are not doing it just for them. By protecting your women and children you protect your genes which is the strongest natural desire out there hardwired deep inside us. This is what made us develop both positive and negative social traits.

Friendship is a strong bond between men in a same tribe that are interested in helping each other to become stronger as a group. Most likely you think highly of those who died on a battlefield… but only if they were on your side. This leads us to understanding that there are WE and THEY and THEY will always be OUR enemies. But again it’s all about us men. We are the best at both making friends and enemies because we were the ones fighting for resources all this time and women were our main resource.

Women never lost wars because women were always the main prize in it. For women it only changed one thing- mating partner. Their gens would still live on and they didn’t have to do anything for it. Remember it next time you see someone losing his job, his assets- that’s a modern way of losing a tribal war.
