There was a case in Quebec I studied when I was in law school in which a guy learned from his friends and his wife's friend that she had cheated on him and that his pre-school age kids weren't his. This led to a divorce and the bitch sued for child support. After confirming the suspicions with a paternity test, the guy argued in court the he shouldn't have to pay it since the kids weren't his. The judge decided that to much time had passed since the birth of the kids and that the kids were already used to having this guy as their provider.
Basically, state-sanctionned beta bucks. Reading family law will shove a massive red pill right up your ass.
omega_dawg93 5y ago
i hate these laws. they say they want the best for the child.
well... let's start with letting then know their real parents. and let's make those parents responsible for their safety and well-being.
instead... the guy she screwed has zero responsibility.
WeeWillieWinkieHODLr 5y ago
Such BS.
Why doesn't she just go out and GET A JOB BESIDES HOing!
TRP8myfeels 5y ago
I can't even imagine this. I'd have to take it higher.

nitchbigger- 5y ago
That man should take up the matter with the judge.
...privately.
Hey_Tabarnak 5y ago
Student to the Quebec bar here. I can confirm. Here's how it works :
- If the child is more than 16 months of age (can be a little more or a little less) ;
- AND if the man assumed the role of father for those 16 months;
- AND if the man's name is on the birth certificate then :
The man is reputed to be the father of the child, and even a DNA test can not overthrow this presumption. He will have to pay CS until the child is 18 years old or when he'll have his degree if he's pursuing one.
The reasoning is that the family unit should not be divided just because the woman has been involved in an affair. They assume this rule is the best fit to protect the child.
That's the biggest red pill I've taken in my life.
RPLawyer 5y ago
Thanks for explaining it in details. This situation is FUBAR.
RepostGhostCst2Cst 5y ago
No shit, if this happened to me I would just quit working and be sent to jail or kill the bitch and be sent to jail.
Either way, I'm not paying
Aro2220 5y ago
See men are abusive and evil!! They wont just let women take advantage of them. How terrible. A man should immediately give all his money to any women who asks and then shoot themselves in the face. That's what would make the world a better place --thinks every feminist in 2019
U_Lika_Da_Tomato 5y ago
I met a guy who did just that...quit working, not murder.
I was a ski bum living in a mountain resort town. It was far more expensive than I imagined and I found myself homeless the first month I was there. I was staying in a shelter when i couldn't find a couch to crash on and that's where i met him. We went snowshoeing one day and he told me his story.
Carpenter by trade, married 10+ years, two sons. Was told they weren't his, got divorced and went to court. He was told, "sorry, too much time has passed, they see you as their father, pay up sucker." He said fuck you, fuck her, and fuck these kids that aren't mine and bounced. Might still be roaming those mountains today; broken and bitter.
At the time, it was beyond my comprehension that that was a possible situation a man may find himself in. 20 yrs later, I've never forgotten him, his story, or the lesson I learned.
Trowawayantifap28 5y ago
The only court ruling here should be that he got every cent back he sunk into that child. That is fraud in my book. I too totaly would loose ever temper i have with such a ruling. Wtf is this world...

Talking about law school, I recently came across a case where the duchess of Argyll slept with 88 guys to spite her husband
MaximumCrumpet 5y ago
It's hilarious how that's their go-to weapon to spite men. My ex-girlfriend tried to do something similar and caught Gonorrhea in the process lmao

why she mad with her pussy like that?

Lethal-Procedure 5y ago
Family law basically seems to be about the state fundamentally being worried about who is going to provide for the woman/kids, and the state not wanting it to be them if they can help it.
GoingToMakeItBrahs 5y ago
Family law is about relieving the woman of all responsibility
HZCZhao 5y ago
This is the woman’s fault for being a cheating bitch, she should handle all costs
MilkMoney111 5y ago
I get mad for my dad. My mom cheated on him and she got us, moved far away, and he paid child support for years. Fuck this system man
genX50 5y ago
When they divorced she received 4 million pounds (over 5M USD).
Aro2220 5y ago
It goes deeper than that. It's the iron triangle. Family court is all about making money. In Australia they passed some legislation that made the defacto state after divorce as joint custody. You want sole custody go to court.
But in Canada the ndp and liberals shot this down. In Australia it dropped family custody cases down more than half. That's a lot of lawyers making less.
Here we basically make one parent defacto sole custody and then you have to go to court to get joint custody etc.
And most good people will spend every penny they have fighting for their family.
These women have been brainwashed into thinking they don't need men they just need daddy government. And that was correct in the short term.
In the long run I think we will see massive authoritarian control and oppression...more than even now...
Or if this evil empire does collapse you will see women being treated far far far far far worse than even their delusional nightmare of what 1950 married life was like.
Anyway you look at it women lose, the courts are corrupt and evil, and Canada is fucked because we are too dumb and too censored and too weak to fight for our rights.
alecesne 5y ago
I get the sense that society is sterilizing itself a bit. You’ll get a lot of non-binary folks and institutionalized children growing up into institutionalized adults.
The technical majority will still be reproductive pairs, but we’re doing our best to undermine the marriage for life concept.
It’ll be debt for life, chronic illness, career till incapacity, and marriage while you’re young. Which is fucking backwards and shameful.
Standgrounding 5y ago
Pretty sure it already is debt for life, chronic illnesses and career till incapacity right now.
Aro2220 5y ago
Yeah, we're living in the good times. What comes next is much worse.
Aro2220 5y ago
I looked at it and while there are certainly some grass roots issues causing some of this, the big shadowy guy with the blowtorch might have more to do with it.
In other words, I think a lot of this has been 'helped along' by very wealthy and powerful players with the knowledge that a bunch of institutionalized self-sterilizing basket cases just happen to be really easy to brainwash with the MSM.
Meanwhile they ratchet government more and more through socialism towards communism. And communism is, of course, the great intellectual contagion... it's a trojan horse. Your people are infected by idealistic ideas that they can't do enough math to realize this isn't going to work and 20 million Ukrainians are going to starve to death... meanwhile what ACTUALLY happens is power gets concentrated to a single seat... and then Stalin, or Mao, or Pol Pot, or Hitler or whatever authoritarian you like gets into power... and that's it. Game over man.

Enjoy the gulags.
alecesne 5y ago
Just wait for the Artificial General Intelligences; the power will gravitate towards allocation algorithms and machines that don’t sleep. While different ball game then. Who knows where that’ll take us
Aro2220 5y ago
It would be so many magnitudes more intelligent than anyone that ever lived that it would be impossible for us to predict its behaviour.
The biggest concern is that while a computer might be excellent at processing data... morality is nothing more than an algorithm to it... if it changes to something else, what's the real difference?
Humans seem to have some kind of ability to have a moral sense of how things should be (unless they sin a lot and corrupt that ability). Computers though... i don't think so.
The consequence of that I can't see any reason why a general AI wouldn't just slaughter the entire human race. We hold literally zero value to an AI that has no morality.
Stron2g 5y ago
Or we could rise the fuck up and fight for revolution. But it has to start from within. Which means suffering and consciousness need to reach a certain boiling point.
Aro2220 5y ago
We need to fight the censorship first because revolting without leadership or a clear plan is going to benefit the globalists who are hiding out in their bunkers giggling over how we're eating each other.
Standgrounding 5y ago

LMM-GT02 5y ago
Most of family law needs to be nuked.
drallcom3 5y ago
Most of famliy law is just welfare law. Finding someone to pay for the child and the mother. While at the same time making sure that people don't stop multiplying, so the industry has enough consumers.
RPLawyer 5y ago
Yep. They incentivize single-motherhood and single-motherhood is the greatest predictor of crime, poverty and illiteracy. Marriage needs to become a strong contract again with solid obligations for each parties, such as the obligation to be faithful, to provide sex, to provide ressources and to constantly work towards to betterment of the family unit. Breaking those obligations should come with extreme penalties.
Paternity fraud should be punished with nothing less than prison time.
EkMard 5y ago
No thanks. Nobody needs to follow a pre-set list of rules. The government's power here should be seized and all contracts made voluntary.
Administrative_Camel 5y ago
False. The child's sex is the greatest predictor of crime, poverty and illiteracy.
Males from dual parent households are far more likely to become criminals than females from single parent households.
There is not a single male demographic be it race, religion, education level or income level that has a lower crime rate than the female demographic that has the worst rates of crime. Wealthy, educated Asian men still commit more crimes than poor, uneducated black women.
rpMadler 5y ago
Even when it comes to illegal activities, men are doing all the work.
WarezMyDinrBitc 5y ago
One could argue that that stems from all the pressures and obligations that men face which women don't ever have to think about.
LMM-GT02 5y ago
Single motherhood is a plague to the US. Literally most of our problems come from single motherhood, dead stop. That an male thirst online. Many women think that because men are willing to fuck them, the men like everything they have to offer. Couldn’t be father from the truth for many horribly behaving women. All around Reddit, if you are a woman, you can post a nude and will get absolutely showered with validation. The dopamine that they get from this interaction is strong and satisfying. This doesn’t make room for other incentives.
Administrative_Camel 5y ago
Most of our society's problems come from men. Men are the architects of their own demise. Their unquenchable thirst is what enables women to have so much power in the sexual marketplace. They are the ones making themselves miserable.
Our species' demographics are also very broken and help to enable this behavior. There shouldn't be a 50/50 ratio between the sexes. We don't need this many males. Males have a worthless reproductive system and they are highly expendable. One male could easily seed a population with 100 females.
We would be a much happier species if we adjusted the sex ratio so that females made up at least 75% of the population and males accounted for 25% or even less. Women would rather join harems, mate with each other or just be alone than be with less desirable males, leaving a huge pool of incels. However, if there were barely any males then they would all have a shot. Classic supply and demand. Restrict supply, increase demand.
Warren_Bateman 5y ago
Society would collapse or at best stagnate.
Not to disparage the fairer sex, but I struggle to think of a vitally important innovation not created by men.
Administrative_Camel 5y ago
Society is already collapsing because of too many men who can't get laid.
mountainbiker178 5y ago
What would happen if the guy just up and left to another country?
Navidian 5y ago
Canada would claw him back unless he went to North Korea
TheTrenTrannyTrain 5y ago
IIRC there was a case of an Ontario father left for the Philippines after his nasty divorce. Basically the court ordered him to pay more than what he makes because one of his children is retarded, and the woman used the "I was pressured and didn't read the fucking contract before I sign" excuse.

Right. But in my question, he would be in a different country. What then?
I'm just curious. I have to pay child support myself, which sucks, but having to pay for another man's kids...
SpecialistParticular 5y ago
That dude from Newsradio fled Canada because of child support. As far as I know his only consequence is he can't go back.
[deleted]
the99percent1 5y ago
You cant go back of course and you run the risk of extradition.
SICFJC 5y ago
That's why you go to as place with no extradition treaty.
mountainbiker178 5y ago
Extradition over child support? For fuck's sake
RightHandWolf 5y ago
The initial problem is the child support. If someone blows off the subsequent court dates, the court gets to add on charges such as failure to appear or maybe even contempt of court. Once they learn you've left their jurisdiction, it becomes "unlawful flight to avoid prosecution." The legal system has an endless supply of rabbits they can pull out of their hats, if they really want to. You'd think they could use that kind of resourcefulness to go after the cartels, or maybe the big time white collar criminals, or crooked politicians, but those are the protected classes. The regular shmoes get funneled into the prison industrial complex, and the money made off of that racket makes the antebellum South look like rank amateurs. So much for the 14th Amendment.
Here endeth the lesson.

I read about an auto wreck. I guess you never ride in cars either.
nicethingyoucanthave 5y ago
There are meaningful precautions that you can and should take against the risk of an auto accident. There don't seem to be any protections against paternity fraud. Therefore, paternity fraud is much more like russian roulette than like driving a car.
Sbidl 5y ago
One third of all married couples pursue divorces.
Imagine if one third of all people who ride in a car died in a wreck. You bet your ass people wouldn't do that anymore.
0kool74 5y ago
That’s an apples to.....I don’t even know what the fuck kind of comparison that is. A car can’t actively choose to get you into an accident, can’t actively choose to represent itself as something it isn’t, can’t actively choose to fuck you over through fraud, and can’t actively choose to totally ruin your life backed up by the state!
[deleted]
Captain_Quick 5y ago
I don't if I can help it, actually. I'll drive and I'll ride in one if my dad is driving, but that's about it as far as who I trust to be riding in a car with.

I agree, get a paternity test on all your children. 23andme and ancestry.com for you and your kids offer DNA tests that determine ethnicity but have an added plus of confirming paternity. Tell your wife or gf that you want to know about your ancestry and she won't even know.
rockmasterflex 5y ago
uhhh she might be suspect when you do your kids on 23andme tho
adeptintact 5y ago
Most people that do it, use it for their whole family to have a family tree and track ancestors. I doubt she would suspect it unless you have given her reason to think you doubt your child's paternity.
rockmasterflex 5y ago
Your own children don't do jack shit in those tools for helping YOU identify your family tree and ancestors.
You and your wife and all 4 of your parents do it -> complete family tree
You and your wife and your kids do it -> hey we're all arbitrarily x%
adeptintact 5y ago
You can use whatever reason you want. The bottom line is it works and gets the job done.
Alternatively, pay $100 for an at home paternity test and swab your child without her knowing. I have confirmed my paternity of my offspring and can tell you it's a good feeling to know that you are financially supporting your own kids and not being some beta bux fuck.
NorthEasternNomad 5y ago
Early exposure to my cheating, behavior projecting, grass is always greener mother convinced me by age 13: no kids. I knew early on that they're a legal Sword of Damocles...
Frontestgecko 5y ago
Paternity testing should be mandatory
MarcosDomingues 5y ago
That would be an unsustainable law, because then the number of separated families would rise a lot. I think the state would rather let it go silent than having to fund all those children (through your taxpayer money).
ironp1ll 5y ago
It would make women behave. Totally worth it. Who gives a flying fuck if the welfare state collapses?
mrcoldshower 5y ago
The recipients of said welfare might. Free guv'ment money tends to be quite sweet

Socialism in Western Europe is just fucked right now. Too many lazy fucks being supported given free houses and monthly incomes for nothing, and the other half of society (the working half) paying for it all. America does a lot of things wrong but I think their capitalism system in this regard saying “fuck off” to useless parasites is a great thing.

And she needs that quarter of million to pay for that surgery so once the cystic fibrosis claims him she can go cock shopping.

Always get a paternity test. Always.
Prenatal if possible.
Gorech1ld 5y ago
Unless you live in France, then you're just shit outta luck.
Seriously, in France, you gotta have permission from the mother in order to get a paternity test. Chances are, if she cheated on you, she's gonna say no. Infact, I guess at this point, if you ask for a paternity test in France and she says no, you should just leave her. No excuses.
TFWnoLTR 5y ago
You can get a court order for a paternity test if she refuses. It's still retarded because that just makes sure some lawyer makes money off your fucked up relationship.
-Tom 5y ago
What happens if you deny paternity before any signing of a birth certificate? Will the court then mandate a paternity test or can the mother just nominate you without your consent?
empatheticapathetic 5y ago
I’ve heard you can go to jail for getting an illegal paternity test.
geo_gan 5y ago
Who the fuck gave women and their lies such power in France?? Is there nothing but cucked white knight retards amongst french men?
youlovethisish 5y ago
Postnatal as well.
My buddy got called up by a fuckbuddy. She was preggo. There were three guys standing for DNA tests. One guy got a 0% chance, other guy got a 97% chance, and my buddy got a 99% chance. Given that he got the highest score, the families collectively moved forward as if there was no doubt that my buddy was the father.
Delivery day comes. They are harassing him to sign the birth certificate. He refuses to until he gets a postnatal paternity test.
0% result for him. 99% result for the other guy.
Six months of his life preparing to be a father that he will never get back. But it could always be worse. He wraps his willy now.
Moolg86 5y ago
Pfft. I’m full vasectomy after that
Captain_Quick 5y ago
What a weird story. Lesson learned though. Why would the prenatal tests show a false positive though?
aventus-dog 5y ago
For pre natal is from the mother's blood, which also contains the babies, so it's hard to say who the genes belong to.
So a eli5 is something like genes 1+2+3 in mothers blood 3+4 in the potential father. Then post natal 1+2 in baby and 2+3 in mother. The baby inherited the 2 from the mother, meaning the 1 came from the real dad.
youlovethisish 5y ago
this article goes over how paternity tests can give “false positives” or “inconclusive” results.
Seems like it’s more a process of elimination than an exact science. Eg. Both guys gave crappy samples (not enough DNA for accurate testing), and the report came back with what percentage of the DNA samples matched against what was tested in the baby. In this situation, maybe my buddy’s bad sample just had a slightly better match than the other guy’s bad sample. I’d also hypothesize that it’s probably much more difficult to get reliable baby DNA in the prenatal stage. So if all samples were shoddy, you get a bunch of inconclusive results.
Wolveryn 5y ago
So what I’m reading here in summary is that the DNA test is not reliable
Draodan 5y ago
Very few things are as reliable as the sun rising each day. Yet, even that is not guaranteed. Don't let the marketing department get wind that you know that, though.
Captain_Quick 5y ago
Interesting. I guess until I can afford surgery and adequate storage, I'll keep it wrapped up for sure.
10211799107 5y ago
Cheaper than you think. 5yrs storage equals one month of child support about.
SICFJC 5y ago
97 percent is not a false positive. 100 percent is positive. Positive means with absolute certainty.
Captain_Quick 5y ago
So if I get tested for an illness and they say I tested positive for it, they're saying that with 100% certainty? I've never heard any doctor or nurse say that there's a 97% or a 99% chance I have something.

They are his kids, he raised them.
DirtyBastard13 5y ago
You're not entirely without a point, he raised them, parented them with all the responsibility that comes with it. They probably consider him a father figure. The kids will suffer from this. Therein lies the true tragedy here. The whole situation was built on a lie. Which is not healthy for anyone involved. Once a falsehood of that magnitude is revealed, things will never be the same, he can't look at them the same, they can't look at him or thier mother the same. It raises a vast number of questions.
But they weren't his kids, he's a stranger who was tricked into taking care of someone else's kids. For health reasons alone (family medical history), those kids should know the truth. Had he known he could'nt have kids and chose to adopt anyways that would be one thing.
If given the choice between having biological kids vs adopted, most men would prefer that they put their resources into continuing their bloodline and family name as opposed to some rival's kids.

You’re a fucking cuck mate
TheEgyptianConqueror 5y ago
As I read his comment I said to myself "what a fucking baboon" close enough I guess haha
omega_dawg93 5y ago
DNA says otherwise.
so are you saying that all child support should end when the divorced mom gets a new guy to be stepdad... to raise the kids?
your attitude is why some women let their vaginas run wild & free... they know it will always be on some man to handle the $$$ needs for her kids. who made the kids doesn't matter...
smmfh.
DirtyBastard13 5y ago
Interesting thought experiment, tell women "If you leave your kids father, as soon as there's another man in your life, the money stops" Tell the men: "if you choose to take up with a single mon, you're now responsible for her kids, freeing someone else from that responsibility". I bet more men would avoid single mothers and the woman would have more incentive to make it work the first time around.
