I work in a program for previously incarcerated male and female youth with substance abuse, behavioral, and authority issues. They constantly attempt to break staff with insults, vulgarity, and manipulation. Floating through this sub has helped me tremendously but unfortunately I’ve seen other staff succumb to the youths behavior. Becoming a solid object in the face of manipulation will make or break you as a man. .
The importance of solid frame while I’m inside the program has followed me out and I cannot express how similar some women are to these troubled juveniles. I’ve found that the manipulation, lies, and frame breaking tactics are just as intense with women as they are with neglected children. Although I don’t find myself being battered with insults like “suck my dick” “pussy white boy” or aggressive postures, I do find that women shade their frame breaking tactics and are more passive but attempt to be just as demoralizing.
This is my first post here, I figured I’d start off with some simple observations I’ve collected over the past year.
Fun fact: 5 staff have been fired in the last year for sexual misconduct with youth, 5 of them were women

Anger is useful as a motivator. Its terrible for critical thinking.
Its highly probable the males were over the age of consent, which is 16 in my state. Gals didnt break the law, they broke work policies for banging these guys. Getting fired is the appropriate recourse.
What that means is I can bang a 16 yr old without legal consequences yet if I get nudes I have child porn. Exemplifies what happens when arbitrary lines in the sand intersect.

I suggest you review the difference between legality and professional ethics. First situation is illegal, the rest are unethical. Quick litmus test is “can the client switch providers voluntarily?”

My state has age gap provisions for 14-15yr olds. Free and clear after 16.
OP didn’t state exactly which social work he is involved in. Court mandated programs will definitely fall under positions of authority. My roomie is a social worker for 2 voluntary programs: in school youth and out of school youth. Youth defined as 16-24yrs old. At 25 they get slotted into adult programs. This case is voluntary employment programs that help people get education, employment and other benefits to aid gaining employment. Think JAG or similar programs.
According to her, in school program impropriety is very bad^TM. Definite firing, possibility of prosecution. If they’re in the out of school program, sexual relations become a conflict of interest and the client must be handed off to a different worker. That’s all that needs done in that case.
As with all things, it can be situational. Position of authority is vague in certain cases. In my roomie’s out of school social work, the relationship is not different than any other service provider like McDonald’s or the mechanic at a body shop. Those situations are fair game. Corrections officer, etc are clearly positions of authority.

But in this case I’d say this makes at least some sense. A 22yo teaching assistant has authority over even an older student, via the ability to threaten that student with failing grades. That may not have played a role, it could just be two adults hooking up, but it’s like fucking your boss, it does abuse the authority structure. Should this be always illegal? Probably not. But it’s more logical than most shit the UK does.

I work with youths like that as well. The crazy thing is when the male kids talk to females like that the women just shift into their frame, no wonder 5 women have been fired for sexual misconduct.
IMO the males in those situations need very strong frame other males to keep them in check and provide a positive role model, as you know most don't have a father figure to begin with.

I don’t meet their energy. I stay calm and collected. The louder they get the more calm I become. If it’s attention seeking behavior I ignore it, unless it’s superficial self harming then we take precautions

My own mother...she criticizes me constantly, and when I explain to her the logic behind my behavior, she reserves to "I am your mother, you must heed my advice." If I stay silent she keeps repeating the issue until "Do you hear me?" if I am silent, she goes "why dont you answer me?", repeat the cycle, and if I lose it and slash out she goes "well, you could've talked to me in moderate tone" (even though the cycle shows that didn't work). If I agree to disagree she pulls that honor-card "now you say you will do it you must actually do it, a man does what he says." All of this is because my father is too afraid to upset my mother by standing up for his son. My father thinks that if my mother is upset with me, it must be my fault and therefore I must be the one to fix it. I only care for my parents because they give birth to me, in my heart I hate my mother for the manipulative cunt she is and my father for the coward he is.
This is why the red pill is so important to my life. I can't let my child go through what I went through

My last relationship (in my 20’s) was like dating a neglected child. Constantly lying to make me believe that I was in the wrong. Youth do this ALL THE TIME to get what they want. They’ll even work in teams to create a group lie, which women do as well.
The second you turn your back in the program something is being tossed across the hallway or illicit conversations are happening. The second you turn your back on a woman dicks are being tossed in her mouth and illicit text conversations are happening. I can go on, but I plan on doing a follow up post about some other observations I’ve had this job.

I have given much thought about this as I graduated from one of those juvenile alternative schools for kids with disciplinary issues (I was a little shit in highschool). I found that a strong character is an absolute essential requirement for anyone who wishes to work with kids, especially troubled kids. Thanks for your service, it is people like you who I respected and admired and actually made me change. One thing you'll find respected on the streets is a strong moral code, men of all walks of life respect this. Coupled with a strong character and a benevolent heart you will touch the lives of many.

As a teacher I can somewhat relate. Students are constantly (especially at the beginning of the school year) testing boundaries by giving you shit tests. Teachers who give students the reaction their looking for are the ones who cannot manage a classroom.
