A couple of months ago in class, I heard this term "Love Island" which confused me, everyone was talking about it in class and only by picking up the pieces of their words I realise it was basically a show for Chads to come in and show off and for Stacys to live off their temporary fantasy before falling to their doom that is social outcast and depression all while the people of Britain waste hours of their time over practically nothing.
Luckily for us, our favourite tax-munching TV "news" channel, the BBC, has an article for us. https://archive.is/fRog8
I'm not going to get into too much, it's the same old song and dance, "innocent wymen" makes wrong decision and blames others for her mistake.
To summarise, former Miss Great Britain Zara Holland lost her title because her having sex on the show invalidated her as a "postive role model", while I'm suprise to see such vigilant actions on the side of the Miss GB organisaiton, her reaction to this didn't suprise me, another article qoutes her reaction as
She told the cameras: "You know when you're in the moment and it just happens. That's really not like me at all. Why couldn't we have just gone to sleep?"
Ah yes, the core component of the feminist ideology, ItJustHappendism. That's not even a justification, she would've had more success saying "I'm an independent women who loves to fuck, I can't believe Miss GB is so anti-feminist!" But then again, she probably realise that it's 2018, not 2025 that she can announce her inner slutiness and still be smiled at by any respectable person who wishes to be seen beside her.
We also have Sarah "Dog-Lips" Goodhart, who, as the BBC article states
she accused the reality TV industry of being "corrupt"
A couple of lines later
admits not being honest during a psychological test to assess her suitability to appear on the show - because she wanted to be picked.
Lady, just because it didn't go your way doesn't mean it's "corrupt". This sort of thinking is what leads to feminists advocating against this supposed "wage gap". And beside, you're not in a position to point fingers given that you yourself lied. I wouldn't be surprised if after the ink on the contract dried, her producers found out she was a lying piece of shit and decided to invest minimal time and money into her lying ass.
If we look at Sophie Gradon, who had committed suicide some time ago, we can see that she perhaps is one the most innocent out of everybody taking a quick Google search on who she is, what I focus on is the lack of support she received specifically over the cyber-bullying and harassment she faced. I certainly think it's childish to bully someone on the internet- you might as well watch Love Island at least that doesn't take any braincells- it's important to note that when girls like Sophie Gradon enters programmes such as Love Island that will inevitable result in negative consequences, they will not recieve the support to compensate for it. Those Chads she fucked? They weren't there for her after she left. I would say to any female readers to pick the right guy, but I know that's futile.
We still some more left, but I'll end this post off with a nice socialist propaganda from "Behavioural psychologist Jo Hemmings".
Jo Hemmings, who has worked on shows including Big Brother, says if she doesn't feel a contestant has the right coping mechanisms she would recommend they don't go on a reality show. She says the majority of the time her expert advice is listened to - but not always.
You can tell this is a great figure of authority right here.
"I indicated there was some vulnerability and the producers hadn't done background checks officially and I had to ask this guy to leave in the middle of filming."
What does "officially" mean? Unless they were choosing to not conduct background checks that are mandated by the Government, there's no "officially" to be said here, and beside if they choose to break the law on background checks, you should report them to the police.
She wants reality TV shows to offer more aftercare - of up to a year - for contestants once they leave a show.
So Ms No-Authority here wants change, too bad, we all want things but we also have to work for it. Also, I previously mentioned "socialist propaganda", this is what I'm talking about, if the contract on the paper doesn't specify to the "grown independent wymen" about after-show help, then they are not entitled to get it. Also, if I was her, I think I'd want to block access to crazy lying women getting in on the show rather than just merely give "advice". But I suppose having contestants commit suicide or fall into a state of loneliness and depression is one of those "bad publicity is good publicity" thing.
Hell, if it wasn't for that, I wouldn't have made an entire thread on TheRedPill about Love Island, so I'll leave this note with a teaching, watch what people do, not what they say.

Not just slutting it up for Chad cock, but doing it on TV. Maybe she should embrace her inner twatness instead of whining for sympathy. No fucks given here!

Porn actresses “regret” their decisions as soon as they’re too old to be “employed”
“Trans” people regret getting their organs cut off
Maybe they really do, maybe they just say things like this because that’s what they think they should say
What’s your article have to do with TRP?
FlyingSexistPig 5y ago
Further example of the truth of female nature. They aren't the caring altruistic wonderful human beings that we were told they were, growing up. They're shallow victims of hormones who cannot make good decisions, especially when it comes to long-term consequences.
Chitlinsandgravy 5y ago
Nor are they the caring, altruistic people they desperately need to convince themselves they are.

The part that gets me, is the females in porn act as if they are so traumatized. I was on askreddit and the topic was porn and questions relating to it.
The female whom allegedly was in the industry said something along the lines of (paraphrasing here) "The industry is so traumatizing I won't even speak to other women about getting into it"
Interesting. That didn't stop you from taking all the dick that you could on camera in exchange for money all of that time, did it?
I think they are traumatized by their own shit decisions.
civilizedfrog 5y ago
But here is the part that angers me. There is always some beta to marry them. There was a pornstar who married a pastor. They were rightfully shamed from the church and now they started church for the degenerates of society.
SpecialistParticular 5y ago
Shockingly, I found more than one when I googled it.
lastdumra 5y ago
I actually believe her, that it is traumatizing, but it is still her fault. It is not like they are unaware of the consequences.
If I work as a trash man or as a night shift guard my life is going to be worse, including psychologically, than a lawyer or a doctor, and let's not compare to a successful musician or actor. That does not mean I have no responsibility in how my life is.
Women know before they go in that porn has psychological and social consequences. Yet they chose to ignore them or lie to themselves, to later complaint. It is ridiculous.
grandmasbroach 5y ago
Yup, and we have entire words to describe exactly that. They are known as regret, remorse, guilt, etc. You can, and most people do, make a decision they will later feel bad about. The question is, how big was the decision, and what was done after to make sure it never happens again. Some people, and dare I say, a lot of women, cant and wont take responsibility for those decisions. If they do, they have to admit they are the problem, not everyone else. For some, that is just too much to handle, and so they blame everyone else.
17th_Username_Tried 5y ago
I currently work as a trash man. It stinks but it pays 18$ an hour. I can’t complain in the least, at least not while I’m just a student. Love this job.
lastdumra 5y ago
Sure, but how would you feel if it would be all your future has to offer?
KeffirLime 5y ago
Precisely, there's something wrong with the industry and not me for voluntarily participating in it.
Because if I say there's something wrong with me, I'm basically admitting I'm a moron, and would have to take actual responsibility for my actions, and that is far too much of a dent in my persona.
NikolaGeorgiev 5y ago
Women are like children. They never take responsibility.
[deleted] 5y ago
Women ARE children. There is no difference, whatsoever. If you treat them like a 5 year old little girl and talk to them like a 5 year old little girl and spank them like a 5 year old little girl, they will love you for it and they will stay by your side forever.

Gonna use this opportunity to vent on something applicable to this topic in a way. I recently had a shoulder injury at work three weeks back, and had physical limitations in place. HR told me they had my back if someone made me do work I shouldn't. So I covered my ass thoroughly.
This past Saturday, I dislocated it again. I can usually soldier on after I pop it back in, but this day it hurt baaad.
Before I continue, let me preface this. An order of 5 rpcs was rejected as it had been labeled incorrectly. This was the responsibility of the manager, and she half assed her job and let her workers goof off. But on this day? Oooh, dont fuck with her, she's on the "warpath" and people should "look out." Yeah, that's right. She and her crew fucked up an order, but it "wasn't her fault" and everyone else was paying for it.
So Saturday came, I dislocated my shoulder and approached her in the cafeteria. I asked how long we might be working. I was met with "don't ask me any questions. " Said "well, I'm gonna ask you one more. Could I possibly leave early? "
"Nobody is leaving early today! " she snipped at me, slammed her locker closed and walked off. Brushed me off because she was trying to be "intimidating" but overcompensatibg. Alright, fuck it, I thought. I continued working, and again, my shoulder slipped outta socket. This time it became useless. With only my left hand, I did what work I could until lunchtime came, then I went home because my health takes priority to my job.
On the drive home, the manager calls me. "Where did go?" I remained calm, and explained everything that had happened. "My shoulder slipped out, it hurt, I asked you if I could leave early, you got short with me before I even asked then walked off. So I continued, and it slipped out again. I sorted the freezer, and did what I could. Now, I'm going home to put my arm in a brace. "
Here on out, she reverted to an almost childlike state, constantly repeating "you should have told me. " I said, "I just told you I did, but you brushed me off"
"Well still, you shoulda told me. "
She kept repeating those words like a kid saying "I know you are but what am I?" I could already see what was going on. She was attempting to bait me into losing my cool on her. Her telling me I should've told her was her deflecting responsibility back on me. She did the same with the rejected rpcs.
Anyhow, my buddy at work says she's trying her hardest to get me fired. Of course I'm sure I'll be the "asshole" when she tells the story. Regardless, I have witnesses to what happened and I plan to file a complaint. For being a manager, she can't remain professional or objective.
Seriously though guys, always be mindful around women in scenarios like this. They will refuse to take responsibility for their actions, and deflect the guilt they feel back on you. Because "women are never wrong" and "men are animals."
Sorry for the long post. Hadta vent.

I wonder what would have happened if you tried talking to her as if she was a 5 year old.. she probably would have understood what you're saying a lot better.

Reality TV is cancer, this is well known. Love Island is every woman’s dream; hook up with lots of good looking blokes, having lots of sex on TV, laze around catching sun rays and drinking alcohol.
Reptilian_Brain_420 5y ago
It is kinda the dream of half of the folks on TRP too.
NiceKicksGabe 5y ago
I would hope that the difference here is that we won’t wake up and say it was a nightmare
PuzzleheadedDoughnut 5y ago
Actually it's just a modern day bloodless version of the Colosseum where humans were entertained by watching other humans suffer.
We don't watch reality shows to see people "fall in love". We watch for the meltdowns and betrayals by former allies A.K.A. watching people suffer. The "romance' is just bait to ramp up the suffering by creating jeopardy.
Even more "innocent" shows like American Idol are predominantly about suffering.
Only one can be the Idol yet we watch thousands have their dreams and hopes crushed. The closer they get to the final spot, the more devastating their failure witnessed by an audience of millions. So mathematically those shows contain far more "suffering" than celebrate victory.
We are not very evolved as a species in that regard.

I think this is closer to the truth. I don't think every woman dreams of Reality TV. u/platoonpluto makes a great point in that Reality TV is cancer. It preys on the weak, both as contestants and an audience. But I can't say that every woman dreams of it, as I've met plenty of women who agree that it is cancer, and their actions suggest that they would hate to reach that level of fame for something so shallow.
MoDuReddit 5y ago
Not that I disagree with you, but it's easy to say that the TV glamour lifestyle is cancer when you don't have access to it. Never mind the enormous smv boost anyone gets from appearing on those shit shows.
OutToAllenBANG 5y ago
I think it depends on the TV. With the right mentoring, direction, and the right personality, I think being famous, for anything, can be a benefit. But it's something that seems extremely difficult to process and deal with, and not everyone has that ability.

Fuck no, I'd rather be a hermit than famous, I got stuff I wanna do.

I guess, why does this matter? Talking about that one person on tv like it's real life is as much of a waste of time than watching it.
People do stupid shit everyday....we've tried to create a culture where darwinism can be eradicated by putting safety stickers on everything and telling young mothers to not put their babies in washing machines and trash bags, but it still happens...\
Just because people can do whatever they want, and that select few can figure out how to do that on tv so everyone sees...doesn't really mean anything.

So, it turns out that a woman having lots of sex with different guys, publically, where every knows about it, doesn't lead to a great future. Who would have thought such a thing was possible.
The dumbest thing about it is that these girls probably weren't even really getting paid a ton to do the show. If you're going to make a career-ending move, you'd better get paid a career-earnings amount of money for it.
PMmepicsofyourtits 5y ago
If I remember correctly, the prize is only £50,000. Not much, but for a few weeks relaxing on a beach? Hell yes.
FlyingSexistPig 5y ago
£50,000 isn't enough to ruin your life.
That's what's actually being exchanged here.
ChelseaDagger14 5y ago
They do a load of “special appearances” in clubs for like £5K a night. Most of them probably do poorly paid jobs, so what does it matter?
FlyingSexistPig 5y ago
Because everyone forgets about that one girl that one night. You can never be sure, when you see the girl walking down the street, dressed differently, that it's really the same girl. Their stage names are never their real names.
When it makes it on TV, people don't forget. Research can be done.
Let's say the girl wants to later have a career as a nurse. She starts off in the field, works hard, lands a nice gig at a good hospital. She's working for three years, and then suddenly there's a meeting where her undisclosed past is discussed. Phrases like "questionable moral character" and "we have standards for behavior here" are uttered. Now she's out of a job, and she can't really even use the place as a reference for a shittier hospital in somewhere less popular because she's not certain if her past will follow her through the reference.
Her. Whole. Life.
PMmepicsofyourtits 5y ago
Not if you’re a guy. Spend a few weeks goofing off, bang a few hotties and the world will forget about you in two weeks.

Yep that's women for you. In the movie "As Good as it Gets", Jack Nicholson's character (a best-selling author) is asked how he writes women so well and his reply is: "I think of a man, and I take away reason and accountability."

Younger me just thought it was a typical asshole misogynist line but as I've gotten older I've realized how god damn true it is. For women, it's always someone else's fault.
Fail a test? "My professor just hates me"
Get passed up for a promotion? "My boss just plays favorites"
Cheat on her boyfriend of 2 years? "I was so drunk I didn't mean it"

magx01 5y ago
Eh. Ppl fuck. It's a prime biological impulse.
swaglordobama 5y ago
This post is a glorified rant that misses every opportunity to attempt to understand female psychology.
Let's break it down.
Girl goes on reality TV dating show. Girl has sex, as everyone on the show does. Girl is slut-shamed by the media and loses her title because society has sexual hang-ups. Girl has major buyer's remorse.
Allow me to introduce a concept to you that you may not have considered. Our biological drives will take major, irrational risks for a good mating opportunity. We're designed that way for a reason. It's not stupid, its your dna prioritizing the goal of the species over your individual life goals.
Sex should not be a big deal. It's the most natural thing in the world. A woman's fundamental purpose is to bear a child who can bear a child. This means any man who she risks sex with should be able to lay other women, as her brain interprets this as her child also being able to fuck and produce offspring in adulthood.
When she says that sex "just happened," this is how women want sex to occur. For it to "just happen," absolves her of responsibility and prevents her from being labeled slutty or promiscuous. This is fundamental to understanding female psychology and how to make the experience positive for her. Girls want to fuck, they love getting fucked, they get so much more pleasure from sex than we do. Every woman is a filthy slut, but if she exposes that part of her she faces major downside from a society that thinks sex is bad.
It comes down to risk-reward. If you're seen as a high value prize, she will risk more to get you. If you're seen as a low value prize, she will risk very little.
That being said, if there is no risk involved to fucking the low value guy, she will, because shitty pizza is still pizza, and it still tastes better than nothing when she's hungry.
Note that sometimes she will forego the better pizza because the price is too high and it could cause problems in her career, social life, instagram, public image, whatever. If she can, she will arrange to meet up with him somewhere private where there is no risk. If she is hungry enough, though, she will take a higher risk to get her sexual needs met.
The girl always wants to avoid being SEEN as a slut, even though she is a slut. It's bad for her sexual and social value if people see her in her primal state. Generally speaking, you want to lead things in a manner so that they can "just happen."
This is the principle of eliminating downside. Spike her emotional state to reduce rational thinking and lead the interaction to a place where she can have sex without it being slutty.
For example: approach in bar/club, seed location 1 (I'm a little hungry), spike, pull to 1 (join me for 10 minutes to get some pizza down the street), seed location 2 (what's your favorite movie?), spike, pull to 2 (let's go watch Trash Humpers, my flat is like 5 minutes away), escalate, fuck. This is how she wants the sex to happen.
Now in the case of this girl, she is with high value guys. It makes her pussy tingle, just like our dicks tingle when we see beautiful naked women. As far as she is concerned, sex on the show is fine, and everyone is doing it. In her mind, the sex "just happened," which means she wasn't a slut. What she doesn't account for is that her actions, as a pseudo-celeb, will be in the public spotlight, and will have repercussions. She thought the downside was low, so she fucked.
The next thing to consider is a woman's role in society in the past. Men would perform hard labor tasks like hunting, building, and fishing, and women would perform soft labor tasks like making clothes, preparing food, taking care of children, etc.
Because we aren't well suited to survive in solitude within nature, we rely on the tribe. If we upset the tribe, we would be punished by the tribe. Short of execution, exile was the worst punishment, because it meant a miserable death at the hands of nature, other tribes, etc.
This is why we have social anxiety and want to be liked in society. Modern society is far detached from nature, but our brains are still adapted to a more primal, tribal lifestyle. What mattered then still matters now. What was attractive then is attractive now, though it is heavily influenced by cultural standards.
As it stands, social rejection is something we strive to avoid. The extreme downside of the sex caused this woman to experience extreme social rejection and public shaming, which really sucks.
[deleted]
CopperFox3c 5y ago
This is a blatant example of why society was always traditionally setup to shelter and protect women from their own impulsive desires. Otherwise you end up with exactly what you see on Love Island. Of course, we got rid of all that in the last half century.
The irony is rife. Real "freedom" is not the freedom to choose to do whatever you want ... it is the freedom to make good choices. Our feral nature is as much a cage as any other.
From a TRP perspective, there is no going back at this point, and it is incumbent for a TRP man to understand the current landscape and how to navigate it ... but it is a fair question whether the trade was worth it. As well as the question of whether generations of the future should embrace the values of the Baby Boomers - diversity, androgyny, progressivism, post-modernism, etc.
SirKolbath 5y ago
I was actually going to comment something similar, Copper. It never seems to occur to these harlots that they could avoid the need for psychological aftercare for their dipshit choices by... and this might go by too fast for some people... simply not making the fucking choice in the first place!
If being on a goddamn television program has the potential to lead to bullying, suicide, emotional instability, depression, or other long-term psychological harm sign me right the fuck up to not be on it.
CopperFox3c 5y ago
Very true. The temptation seems to be too overwhelming in the modern world. I wrote a post about Nietzsche, Liberalism, and the Paradox of Choice last fall related to this. We seem to as a society hold this notion that more choice=more freedom, but I think the evidence (both scientific and societal) suggests it doesn't work that way, counter-intuitively.
The effects on women seem to be even more pronounced. Kind of ties back to the whole women are the most responsible teenager in the house idea.
SirKolbath 5y ago
In my novel, choice is a key aspect of each character. I don't spell it out until the sequel, but the main character explains, "A choice made without full knowledge is merely a decision." Too many of these people either ignore the facts on both sides, or make their decisions without them due to deceit or manipulation. Let's be honest, I'm fairly certain that the producers of Love Island don't spend a lot of time explaining that you could get lasting psychological damage from being on their show. They most likely say, "TV! You're gonna be on TV! Everyone is going to see you on TV!"
One of my favorite articles on TRP. (For those who are not familiar with it, the article Woman: The Most Responsible Teenager in the House is here:

Some of the most beautiful music was written using a strict parameter of rules. Art with disciplined hands. Without these mores, we end up with that BBC chorus of screeching wamyn and canvases painted white. Utter licentiousness, but not free to make anything of order and value. Rules are imperative to make something of value in life and to set goals (they are the goal post). Anyway, great points!

I remember in high school I used to watch reality TV here and there because everyone else was. I was into some shows like Flavor of Love, I Love New York (my fav) and the Ray J one.
I could watch those shows for entertainment purposes only and not get influenced by them.
But my sister and all her friends watched that shit and acted just like the women from those shows. Now all of them are older and obsessed with the bachelor, real house wives, and whatever else.
You would think by your mid to late twenties you would out grow that trash, but I guess not

A huge % of adults in the world are obsessed with reality TV. If you ever doubt the power and influence these shows can have, remember that Donald Trump is president and Kim Kardashian has one of the largest platforms in the world. Just appearing on a show like Love Island (not necessarily winning or even coming across that well) will probably set you up with a career for life as a model / instagram blogger / influencer / etc. It’s easy to see why people fall into the trap of idolising these idiots.

Hadta vent.

Even though Reality TV is a fabricated and exaggerated version of reality, it does show the natural instincts of humans a lot if you watch it with redpill awareness.
