Im just curious about things i should wear to improve my looks; ive actually tried to be more feminine by wearing skirts and dresses. I like to wear black kinda of grunge/ gothic but i toned it way down, im wondering what i should do next? since ive been trying to be more lady like, I've been getting positive feedback. I would actually would like to start wearing heels and dress more professional. any suggestions on where i should shop ? I still like looking sort of unique with my dark look but i want people to look at me and think im a bad b**ch without even trying. ive been maintaining my nails, my skin, got my hair cut into a very grown woman look. i actually was embarrassed about my hair but ive gotten so much good compliments on it. Im ready to keep pushing myself and just look bomb all the time. where should i go to buy clothes? ive been going to goodwill forever but i think i need to step up my game. Give me tips! whats your favorite outfit?

I could say so much about clothes and shoes :-)
But I’ll just focus on one item today : midi skirts. It’s an absolute must have. I found them just soooo fashionable!
There are plenty kinds of them (colors, plain or printed, made of tulle, silk, jeans, leather, coton,...) and so many ways of wearing them, depending on the look you want to achieve, from a very lady-like style (blue pleated midi skirt, long sleeved white blouse, short navy blazer jacket, nude ballerinas) to a sexy/rock (but yet respectable) style (light pink silky midi skirt, black crop top, black leather jacket, nice jewelry, killer heels). The flattered most of silhouettes (especially if you have a marked waist) and can be worn at all occasions : office, restaurant, wedding, shopping,... depending with what you wear it.
Just type « midi skirt inspo » in Google Images, and you’ll find lovely ideas.
[Sorry about mistakes/bad wording, English is not my mother tongue]

If the fit is feminine, the style itself matters less. It is surprisingly easy to make a “plain” outfit take on a specific look by being thoughtful about colors and accessories. I have a very flamboyant style and had to learn to stop buying statement pieces, because they are hard to recycle and often come off as immature. You can insinuate your style in subtle ways.
It is actually pretty easy to find unique staples if you keep your eyes peeled. And remember also that good hair and makeup can dress up an outfit too.

Google “Lady Alchemy”. She’s a beautiful Goth. A lot of guys like girls in tights. Fashionable & works with a variety of other clothes.

Do you use styling apps or polyvore? That can help you get inspo on outfits and what to shop for. Maybe if you like goth/grunge go for kind of a modern Victorian type of vibe, like black blouses and midi skirts with heels and lots of accessories.
Really, you just need a few basic pieces in your wardrobe, and tons of cool accessories. I like hats, hairpins, jewelry, gloves, stockings, purses, etc. Maybe try a veil. You can definitely be grunge and femme

I used to be goth, full blown scary goth too, corsets lace and leather. Now people wouldn't believe it without photo evidence. I'm still quite pale naturally, but I find pale, feminine shades of pinks and purples with eyeshadow, with a fine touch of eyeliner. soft contouring nothing harsh, and I got my brows microbladed so they are nice and full. Long hair, feminine waves will also soften your face and go for a nude or light lip. And a given, all the piercings are gone.
Dresses and skirts help, and heels tilt your pelvis to make you look more slender. Anything that softens your 'edges' will help. But keep a little bit of your own style <3

I don't consider myself goth, but I've always sort-of liked the aesthetic. I've always gravitated toward darker colors. And I don't really care for details like lace and ruffles.
However, I do like looking feminine in general, and I love wearing dresses and skirts, so that's what I wear almost exclusively when the weather is warm. I can sort of get the best of both worlds by wearing a dress or skirt in black or a dark color, and sometimes with "edgier" detailing like leather trim or visible zippers. (And that's just occasionally. For the most part my look is fairly conservative but once in a while I like to show off my "darker" side).

You can also get a great man when dressing in more Gothic attire and wearing pants don't make you look instantly masculine. Have healthy looking hair, skin and nails, try to not be fat and wear clothing that works for your body type . The rest is all personal taste.

true pants aren't like a major downer; i've just stopped wearing booty shorts, anything thats too revealing. i have tattoos on the back of my thighs, so i've tried to find things that cover them more so they don't draw attention.

Budget and country?
You can still find nice things at goodwill. Maybe try a vintage shop?

i live in new orleans in the united states, money is really not a problem. i've been told to buy a few expensive pieces of clothing and just find different ways to wear them. I still enjoy going to different consignment shops around new orleans/ different vintage shops; i picked up a silk nightgown the other day from the 90s ive been loving.

Ohh! Go check out Trashy Diva in the quarter. If you like the vintage look they are super comfy and cute. (Not necessarily Goth Grunge but they have classic styles and solid colors)
No Fleas Market on Magazine often has cute stuff, and they normally have a cat in the shop!I've found the consignment shops in Lakeview and the North Shore to be better in terms of quality of clothing.
My question is how on earth do you stay cool here? I have yet to master looking cute while not sweating horrendously.
