In pretty much any /r/AskReddit thread about shitty relationships, there's always comments like "She cheated on me with my best friend", or "After we broke up she slept with my best friend the next week". Recently, it happened to one of my friends and so I started wondering, why does it happen so frequently?
Does the girl have the goal to hurt their ex as much as possible? Or is it just the sexual tension that built up because sleeping with him is "forbidden"? The reason can't be that she just wants to have sex after the break up, as she could choose countless other guys, and she'd be seen as less of a slut by the community if she fucked some other dude.
What's your opinion on this?

Um... I'd fuck my ex's friends any day. Wouldn't you?

It's because the best friend was more alpha.
If I had a friend that would do that I'd probably cut them out of my life. Any guy that puts ho's before bro's is no man I'd like to be a friend of.

why is it always "oh that bitch slept with my close friend" why isn't anyonevupset at the duplicity of the guy- what kind of friend does that shit? they can have each other

I imagine it's beta guys with beta friends that have that happen to them for the most part.
Remember that there are no shortage of desperate betas who will do anything for pussy including stabbing their best friend in the back.

Damn straight. I don't know why the concept of honor is not covered more in red pill discussions?

There was a nice thread about a similar phenomenon about a month ago. And that coincided with a post, not sure where, that advised a guy has a limited window to get back together with an ex (like 24 - 48 hours) before she fucks another guy.
It's a consideration of proximity, in my opinion. She's not going to choose a beta orbiter, because he's friendzoned already. But hooking up with a friend of her guy, either while in the relationship or immediately after it has ended, validates her value in that she got a guy to betray his friend.

That is it right there, your last paragraph nailed it right between the eyes. My wife and I married fairly young (23) so we got to see our friends engage in various dating games for mostly ten years, but some as long as twenty years within our circle of friends. This is something we noticed by the time we were 25 and it was my wife that explained it to me as it is "woman logic".
What I cannot understand is why so many guys today will actually sleep with their best friend's wife or girlfriend, let alone the ex. What happened to honor? We used to have each others back and bros before hoes was not a thing, it would have been like walking around telling people, "water is wet".

My best guess would be that this happens much more to men who share their friends with their girlfriend.
When a woman's relationship ends, she needs to be validated. If she was in a serious relationship it's very common that the only men she has acquainted herself with over the span of the relationship are the guy's friends.

That's the stupidest thing I've ever seen. This subreddit isn't big enough to auto filter new accounts. Come on mods, laziness isn't redpill.
Edit: And still no articulate response. Come on, this is ridiculous.
