1) it's an April fools day joke, I believe 2) height is not as adjustable to height. So unless it updates every day, there would no way to do weight.

April fools joke for sure, you can photoshop the pic standing next to the building, calculations would be a mess too. If however they manage to calculate it properly I wouldn't mind since i'm 6'1"

I am a bona-fide 5'11.25". Lying about height is so ridiculously common, guys visibly shorter than me often claim to be 6'. So screw it, I say I'm 6' tall. Granted, it's not that big a lie because I really am 6' with shoes. but girls often guess I am 6'1", due to every guy they ever knew lying about their height to them.

Weight verification would hurt a lot of people, too. Height’s ok. It hurts guys, but they’ll still use tinder as long as there are women.

Besides, 4’11” 165 and 5’7” 165 look very different.

They're also doing weight verification for women by them standing on their phones

I screenshotted the tweet and put it on my snapchat with the caption "Where is the weight verification" and I got bombarded with messages from female acquaintances. Women are weird

If you’re desirable as a dude then you seriously don’t need tinder. This is just gonna hurt most like 90% of the guys on tinder and they want more users, not less. However I find it weird that they target short men specifically but if they did this to women or the lgbtq community then a shit storm starts...

I think this is gonna get stuck in developmental limbo for a few years before being scrapped & one of those “hey what ever happened?” topics. Their proposed methodology is to have you take a pic by a government building or landmark & they’ll manually verify your height in relation.

Also I understand it’s close to april fools but there’s been stories circulating on this since the 29th.

They should have just said standing with back to a standard internal house door, would get a much better idea of height that way.
