I always noticed this when I was still in middle school. I was the captain ball of our basketball team and an honor student. Basically a middle schoolboy alpha. Some girls would be hating on me without apparent reason. They acted 'irritated' when I was around and talking to other girls. But when I talk to them their female friends would giggle and tease them which gave me a hint on what was going on. As I grew older I thought this behavior would change. I was wrong. I then realized that girls never grow up emotionally.

I work in a mostly female environment. They thrive on drama and gossip, so they just pick on somebody random and start hating you for no reason. It used to bother me, but I eventually learned not to give a fuck about it.

You answered your own question. You said you are good looking. You probably give off the vibe of “you girls can’t have me” and they get mad because of that. This is usually the reason. Your SMV is higher than theirs and they know it. Many low smv girls started hating me because I was involuntarily sending mixed signals (push and pull).
They won’t hate you for no reason. They will hate you when they understand they are not attractive to you.
