If you see a troll or problem post, don't engage them but use the REPORT link; this will bring it quickly to the attention of the mod team.

Shut the fuck up and start lifting.
_Ulan_ 6y ago
Hamstering, too many hamsters in your head. You are missing the point : Doing instead of thinking. That is what lifting is about, and a lot of basic instincts of manliness rely on it.
No need to become a dumb Rambo or mister universe, but you are missing the most important : Stop questioning everything and test by yourself.
Shut down those question in your brain and go to the gym. Run for a little while to get you body warmed up and start lifting (For example with the app Stronglift 5x5). Don't look at the result, just go back at it the day after.
A good rule to keep is that you should go to the gym more days than you don't. When you feel the pain 2 days after lifting, that's your result.

Okay man. Guess you are right. Too much hamstering.

Longer and longer each day you wait. TBH, I've been at it for about 4 years, but I still strive for better and better. It's not a competition with others, its a competition with yourself, and you moving some motherfucking massive weights.
Depends on you, calorie intake, workout regime, what you focus, what you build for, etc. Generally though, this is a stupid question. You might never get there, but that's not the point. Strong does not always = big. If you really want them, roid up at 25, and be one of those people.
-Arm wrestling is its own sport, with techniques and skills that make it almost completely detached from strength training. Also, against who? You really need context for these questions man.
You want to be strong, have massive biceps, and a pro arm wrestler? Then why the fuck are yo not already in the gym?

Strength and musculature are related. But just because someone is swole doesnt mean they are strong. But it is a food indicator or it.
To gain strength fast, you do routines meant to increase strength (high weight with low reps). While you will get some muscle growth, the focus is on maximizing the strength potential of the muscle you currently have. Strong Lifts 5x5 is often recommended here because it does just that. NSuns 5/3/1 is recomended on the fitness subreddit.
Hypertrophy (muscle growth) requires good nutrition eaten at just over your total daily energy expenditure (TDEE) of calories and a routine that is designed for it (PHUL or PPL)

Honest to god, don’t think about this stuff. All of it becomes irrelevant when you start seeing results because that’s the point you’ll never be satisfied with your body. Seriously, do yourself a solid and just pick a program from r/fitness and go lift.

Just for you: I have a friend who is 5'9 and weighs around 55 kg, has a hunchback, dandruff, bug eyes and a small skull and probably could be beaten by a girl. He is the sickest looking human and acts like an asshole to everybody. Still seem to have more plates despite everything. That guy is a mistery
