Greetings and salutations,
Long time lurker at both TRP and MGTOW, and I'm wondering what would be best for me?
About Me:
- Computer Science graduate, soon to be post grad student
- Works in IT
- Scores between 125-140 on most IQ tests
- Lifts, follow a strict program but utterly crap diet
- Soon to be on the wrong side of 35
Goals:
- Start a business and makes lots of money
Now, given that I have Aspergers and am extremely socially awkward and lacking in charisma, especially with strangers, is the goal of starting a business an unrealistic stretch?
To put things in to perspective, I have an uncle that I look up to. He makes sevens figures as a senior VP in insurance. He owns several large homes, drives a Bentley Continental GT and AMG Mercedes SL... Case in point, I really want his lifestyle, but I fear my being socially crippled will always be a deterrent for that. Even if I did manage to come up with a great idea that could be sold (I would like to be an IT consultant of sorts, ideally), would the lack of charisma forever hinder me from being able to sell it? Am I beyond hope? Is it futile for me to improve my situation with a TRP lifestyle, and is MGTOW my only option?

I've heard of guys with aspergers who have learned to become relatively socially competent. I'm not a therapist or anything but I believe it's not that you are incapable of being socially competent, you just have to actively learn alot about social cues and unspoken rules that come naturally for us normies. Also you could also just up your SMV and run "strong, silent and mysterious" game

Decide what you want from you life. Think about it, decide what the best life for YOU is. Then aim at it.
Better to fail at something you want toa achieve than choose some random easy option.
Plus, you might just find you succeed.

Ah, the do or die, or try until you die philosophy. Indeed these are words to live by.

Ok so the glaring problem that I see is the crap diet.
Starting eating healthier, get lean, and keep lifting. That's a huge change on its own.

Do a shit ton of mushrooms. I’ve got a friend who is autistic, was ocd and just a weirdo. Knew he had to change so he fried his brains on psychedelics and can now interact normally with other people. In fact, the man is god damn charismatic now. And smart as a whip.

Eh... I tried weed and booze in high school. Did not care for the high or drunk feeling at all. I'll keep it straight edge for now.

Fair enough man, it's your brain. However, psychedelics are a very different beast compared to weed/alcohol. My friend didn't do it to "enjoy the feeling", he was purposefully trying to change the way his brain processed information. You may benefit from investigating further if this is something you're serious about.
All the best.

MGTOW is equivalent with giving up on the SMP. If it's your goal to only get roadkill in the future, go on.
But since you made it here, how about you put to work what you can learn here and see where that brings you?

Fair enough, indeed.

Probably, at the very least it would make things more difficult.
But the more worrying thing for you is whether you are socially naive. How are you as a judge of character?
Will some guy will come over take advantage of you / rip you off, without you realising it?

Valid question. Given that the majority of women I deal with are either prostitutes or strippers, I'm pretty sure I know when they're trying to con me (which is 100% of the time). Granted, they may not be smart enough to make that fact subtle.

Yes, you will be dealing with very clever people whose weapon is their mind not their body.
Whatever you try to do, be meticulous in protecting yourself and be patient. Being patient and gathering experience are the most important things.

I have Aspergers and it’s made me very analytical. I have been very good at business and when I started I had terrible social skills and terrible social anxiety. I was able to build websites online and sell products to make money. I built upto 25 employees in my last business before selling it .
Never think of Aspergers as bad for business. You can overcome much of the social stuff if you just learn and practice social skills. So many resources available now to learn the social rules to follow. And it becomes natural with enough practice. I’m no natural but learning all I can.

I appreciate good, first hand experience posts like these. Congratulations by the way, sounds like you're killing it!
