The secret is discipline. Not motivation. Motivation is essential to ignite the fire. Discipline is what keeps the fire going.

Discipline is the first step. Do it enough and it gets ingrained into you and it becomes a habit. Then, you just do it like it's breathing, even when you don't wan a go, ya just get'r done

For me whenever i feel like skipping, might sound cliche but i just force myself and only have one thought "just go just fucking go" and boom 15 minutes into the session i feel amazing.
If you allow yourself to skip lifting enough once out of pure laziness/lack of motivation, you wont think twice before doing it again. Consistency is key in literally everything.

Citrulline Malate, Caffeine, Beta Alanine, a teaspoon of sugar, and some hard rocking music
Also, find a program, pick a goal like "join the 1000 lb club"
Start easy. Say you'll do one set of one rep and reward yourself with your favourite thing afterwards
Make sure you're doing it for yourself, not pussy. Do it for health, self-reliance as you get older, the challenge, and the Stoic discomfort

You should dicipline yourself to train for one month, with proper diet ofcourse. Then you'll notice first gains and you will be motivated as fuck. Results are the best motivation, because you want to be even more stronger and look better. Plus you don't want to lose hard earned gains.

I just happen to love how it feels to move large amounts of weight around. The "work" itself is my motivation. Also, results.

Read Arnold Schwarzeneggers autobiography. Reading this book was a game-changer for me

Buy some expensive headphones that you are only allowed to use at the gym. Well discipline.

Me personally, love working out even when it gets boring and hard because I was always fascinated with it. Anyway, just have the mentality of I am just going to go to the gym not even workout. Then once you get there, you will be inclined to do it.
“Im just going to put on my workout clothes” “Im just going to go sit in the car” etc..
Or do what I did and invest in a homegym with a good squat rack, barbells, weights, and other stuff

I just like being strong and joocy man. The only way for me to be strong and joocy is if I lift. There you have it. When I really don't feel lile lifting, I go lift anyway because I know I NEED to.

Pre-workout.

I do it at home so that it easily becomes part of my routine. Deadlifts in front of Netflix with a barbell and pullups on a bar in the doorframe with a back pack full of weights.
Three sets of 12 deadlifts and three sets of 6 pullups (can only manage that with the backpack on) and I'm done. Doesn't take long.

For me, as pathetic as it sounds, I see it as a way to being more attractive. If I really want to achieve what I have in my mind I really have to maximize my looks. The only way to achieve that is by lifting

I just love lifting. It sucks ass right now though because I could be making crazy gains. My family cant afford a gym membership right now. My friend's dad has gym equipment. So, I help him with his work and get to use his stuff. But, it means I can only workout 3 times a week when I could go 2hrs a day fr fr.
