So during my hiatus I would pop into the sub from time to time and check out some of the posts. Sometimes I would find some real gold and learn a lot or reassess my own knowledge. More often than not the sub would be full of horseshit. Crappy, unedited streams of dribble parroting long established side-bar knowledge, humble-brag field reports, “look at me I am important too” articles imitating popular posts and contributors.
