hello brothers. my new workplace is female dominated, and i've met a guy that i figured i should befriend and stick together with. turns out he's gay and i might've sent him mixed signals; i'm from another country and we don't really have lgbt there. he's a nice enough guy and i could use a friend at the new place, but i think i got his hopes up by inviting him to hang out, and i'm afraid he'll get mad at me. how do i deal with this situation and not lose a potential friend? i know being legit friends with women is (nigh) impossible because of nature - is it the same when there's a hetero male
