People like to attack men for not being as involved in their children's lives as their mothers. But the fact is, men have more hoops to jump through in order to be a father, and in order to be a "good father" by society's standards. Being a mother is difficult. But at the end of the day, we don't attack mothers who fall behind the same way we do fathers. We also support mothers more than we do fathers. And that doesn't even get into family court and the fact that many women try to "lock down" men through non-consensual pregnancies. Many men end up with nothing left over to pay for their own
